“I drove out here for Easter lunch. I purchased the burger. Wanted to get the onion rings, but he was out which was a big disappointment. Burger was delicious flavorful. Reminiscent of a big Mac. It had lettuce, tomato pickle, some type of onion, special sauce and cheese. Burger was $12, the combo would be $15 at this time. Which would include crinkle fries and a drink. if in the area, I will definitely go back again. One of the better tasting food establishment I’ve visited. There are tables around to sit at. May have to wipe them off. There is a portable Johnny on the spot to use the restroom so bring your own wipes. The parking lot area is for several food trucks and is available which is a plus.“
“Food is amazing now.. way back when food was terrible. Very very affordable.. once you tried it you will definitely come back for more... Braddah man may seem to be rude but he is actually a cool dude, every time you go back for more he will become more nicer lol.. but overall the chicken is onolicious and price is super cheap. Have a bless day y'all and stay hungry. Yeah you!“
“The shrimp was excellent! The rice was good. They made special accommodations for my son who cannot have any dairy products to cook his shrimp without dairy products when we talked to them about his food allergy. I love that they went above and beyond to accommodate him. The only thing I would have changed it that the shrimp came in the shell and the seasoning was on the shell. You lose the seasoning when you remove the shell to eat it.The parking is a little crazy there. It's shared with several other food trucks and you can only park there if you're eating at one of the food trucks. Also, bathrooms in the area are very limited and it's hard to find a public restroom. There is a port-o-potty in the parking lot but it was bad!!! I would put it in the second worst bathroom I've ever been in. It hadn't been serviced in forever and the waste was all the way up to the toilet seat lid. The smell was horrible and it was disgusting. I didn't let this affect my review because it is a food truck area and I don't know who is responsible for the bathroom and it didn't directly affect the food truck. Thankfully, the food truck provided hand sanitizer because that was incredibly disgusting and there was nowhere to wash my hand afterwards. It is an emergency only bathroom!!“
“The absolute best cookie skillet I’ve ever had! We got a big one and shared it amongst our family of 4 and it was more than enough!! Get the Carmel syrup on to, you won’t be disappointed!! Their other cookies are very good too! You can’t go wrong here!“
“The meat pies are the best I’ve had. The cream puff, chocolate banana trifle and the strawberry trifle were all three excellent. We drove to the north shore a second time to visit the falls and decided it was worth the little extra time to this food truck again. No food truck in Texas tastes this good.“
“In planning to relive a memorable dining experience and coming from Waikiki, I did not want to come up to Hauula just to get a plate of food. I did a Yelp search and this was one of two businesses that had a 4+ star rating so I bookmarked it as another stop. Using Google maps on my phone, we reached here a little after 11 am on a Monday morning. A gentleman was seated at one of the tables under the tent who we later learned is part of the business. As we walked up to the truck, we read the menu posted on the truck ( After reading it, I asked the lady who manned the truck for her recommendation and she answered without hesitation. A few minutes later, we both were under the tent and eating our spicy garlic lemon shrimp plate ( At first glance, I was surprised by the size of the shrimp which I would almost categorize as prawns. Need proof of how much I like it... burp ( The sauce was delicious and not overly spicy. My experience with shrimp truck plates is limited as I've only dined at that famous Haleiwa one across from the McD's as you enter town. I liked this more and the accompaniments were certainly more interesting... I enjoy canned corn and don't start me about pineapples. The sweetness of both contrasted well with the tangy, spicy, garlicky sauce on the shrimp and my rice. Before leaving, I was curious and asked the lady's nationality and name. Big thanks to Ms. Zhao or Zhou (sp) for steering us to an enjoyable lunch (she's from a Northeastern province in China). I wouldn't hesitate to stop here again next time I'm in the area. *** Nice to find it is Judy C. approved too ( as I just read her review as well as Nadine's (“
“Surf N Salsa has the best tacos hands down! Located in Haleiwa.I had fresh caught Mahi taco and shrimp taco. Make sure to get a side of their guac and chips. The 8 oz is way too much for two people.I had their Cucumber Lemonade. It was great!“
“I am a firm believer that some of the best food you can get in Hawaii comes from small, local food trucks like Flyin' Ahi. I finally got the chance to try them after wanting to go for years. Usually I wouldn't be able to because of work but I took advantage of the Veteran's Day holiday to make my way over. Located in Mililani Tech Park next to other food trucks. The baked crab stuffed Ono with truffle sauce caught my eye. But I also wanted to try their signature kalbi fries, plus spicy ahi poke... Luckily the kind owner was able to combine all that into one fat plate. Everything was amazing! The truffle cream sauce is to die for. The fries were fried up perfectly crispy with a generous portion of kalbi on top. And the spicy ahi was great too, I liked how it wasn't the usual mayo-based sauce.Service was super quick and friendly. The owner was generous enough to add some spicy ahi into the blackened ahi salad we got too. I'll definitely come back to this spot when I have another day off and want to treat myself.“
“Thank God I used the Google Maps app to search for food after visiting Pearl Harbor and found this place. First, Joe is a delete to speak with. Kind, friendly, good story teller. Double-checked to ensure we liked spicy food because the spicy sausage was indeed “en fuego”. I ordered the ribs and a sausage to try. So thankful I did. Flavor explosion and then a very nice kick. The ribs fell off the bone when I picked it up. Perfect amount of smoke, although Joe said he left them a bit too long for his own taste. Also just the right amount of BBQ sauce. Just enough that it didn’t take away from the meat flavor. Good sweetness to it. The big surprise was the coleslaw. Some of the best I’ve had. This place was well worth the price and a damned gem on O’ahu!“
“Absolutely divine!! The pineapple coconut shrimp was heavenly. It's the best meal we've had in Oahu. The wait could be long because it's freshly fried on the spot but def worth the long wait!! We've had Giovanni's and others as well but this was by far the “
“Excellent food and vibes! Cute little outdoor patio under umbrellas and a big tree. Mini poke with spicy garlic tuna was hands down some of the best poke I’ve ever had! Takoyaki was delicious too ? workers were super friendly and nice. Ingredients were fresh and you could tell.Parking: There’s no parkingKid-friendliness: Environment very kid friendly :)“
“I had a wonderful experience with Malai Thai. I had the garlic pepper shrimp. Very generous portions for the pricing. We also got an order of the basil fried rice with chicken which also was fantastic. Got multiple meals for the two of us from these two orders. Some of the best Thai food I’ve had since being in Thailand. Very fresh tasting and they cook it all fresh. They give you a little buzzer so if your group is at a different truck you can sit and wait for your food there. Definitely check them out after a long day on the beach!“
“I meant to take pics but smelling my food on the ride home, I forgot about pictures and straight devoured my food . I had the OG and my wife had the Paniolo. We also had fries , tots, and onion strings. Everything was killah. Full on broke da mout action. The wasabi sauce was my favorite with my burger and the sides. This place get action. He even has crispy jerky too. I wen wack the whole bag before I got home lol. Buggah is mean .“
“Certainly! Here's a revised version:"After extensive exploration of shrimp trucks/shacks spanning the culinary spectrum from Louisiana to Thailand, I must assert that Jenny's in Haleiwa unequivocally distinguishes itself as a super contender. Their mastery lies not only in the flawlessly executed preparation of fresh shrimp but also in their strategic curation of menu options. Jenny's strikes an admirable balance, offering a discerning selection without overwhelming the palate, thereby ensuring each choice is executed to perfection."“
“I've never had pork Sisig before, but I excitedly drove over to the little parking lot where this food truck is located because the yelp reviews are so high. There are only a few dishes offered: pork or chicken sisig and beef soup. You can get them with rice or without. I ordered the pork sisig with rice for $12. They use crispy skin roast pork, chop it up and add red onion, green pepper and a drizzle of Mayo. It also comes with a lemon wedge and extra peppers. For $12, this is a pretty good amount of food and it tasted good too. What's not to love about crispy roast pork and a good squeeze of lemon? The two people working the food truck were nice and although it took a little while because the person in front of me ordered 4 or 5 plates, it wasn't the worst wait. If you're in Waipahu around lunch time and I'm the mood for pork sisig, I'd recommend checking this place out. It seems like a solid place to get simple Filipino food if you're looking for something quick and easy in Waipahu.“
“I tried Mtn Magic because I saw that they were rated #1 shave ice on Ohau. I didn't know about it but we would go to the Leonard's truck for malasadas just next door for years. I would rate the shave ice amongst my top 4 with Shimazu, Ululani & Waiola. Although it is a shack and doesn't have a place to sit. The price is similar as well as the amount and the fineness of the ice as the other 3 places. Definitely the best in mid Oahu. We stay near Kapolei so we will definitely be back.“
“If you want a local "homestyle" breakfast, you can count on Lee's Breakfast Wagon. I work in Waipio and it is parked right outside of Costco on Ka Uka Blvd on most mornings. I call their number (808) 800-1630 before I leave my house and it's ready by the time I get there (about 15 minutes). I keep coming back because no matter how busy they are, they always answer the phone. Nice local guys working this wagon. Old school charm where they recognize you after little while haha. Hard to find places like that nowadays. FYI, they only accept cash so go prepared! Might be a deal breaker for some but nothing major to me. Cash is king. They provide condiments at the wagon (ketchup, sriracha , Tabasco, shoyu, pepper etc.) so you can put whatever you want on your plate. Ditch your local deluxe platter, spend a little bit more and get a loaded breakfast plate from Lee's!“
“I WOULD GIVE IT 6 STARTS. Shaka shake has got to have the best Korean bbq on ALL OF THE ISLAND. The employees care DEEPLY about how their customers enjoy the food. They tell you about which sauces go with which plate. And she even comes up to you and asks how you like it, if you need anything else, etc. this food truck is like a restaurant where you are waited on!!!! Lady in charge is a legend. Pork is phenomenal. Will make this a routine spot. ?????????????? ?“
“Love this place! All their food is made fresh to order and i highly recommend ordering your food ahead of time via phone. You can even ask them to adjust the spiciness level to your liking but be warned, Thai food is generally very spicy...so you can ask them for some spicy chili pepper on the side to adjust to your liking. We usually order the Basil Chicken and the Yellow Curry there. Basil Chicken is so delicious and i love all the fresh veggies like the onion, bell peppers, and basil leaves. The yellow curry we usually order it with chicken, and they give a very generous amount of curry and rice with each order. Service there is awesome, but because everything is made to order, the food can take some time to be made.“
“If you are a Thai food enthusiast and happen to be on the North Shore, there is a hidden gem waiting for you. For those not familiar with the North Shore, it can be a little difficult to find since it is not directly visible from the road but is right next to Kaya's store in Punalu'u, the 3rd food truck from the road (the opposite side of the Aloha Shrimp Truck. The truck is run by an extremely nice and talented couple. The food was as delicious as any Thai restaurant I have visited. We ordered the Spring Rolls, Pad See Ew and Yellow Curry. All were excellent and in large portions that took us two meals to finish. They were even kind enough to provide me a side of spices since I like it spicier then my wife does. We will absolutely go back next time we are on the North Shore. Highly Recommended!Vegetarian options: Tofu and noodle options.Parking: Parking spots right in front of the food trucks.Kid-friendliness: Our daughter loved the food and the owners are very friendly.“
“I was the very last order of the night. They were getting ready to shut down when I walked up. I never knew this food truck was here. Korean food sounded great. They accommodated me. I order bulgogi. It was hot, a hefty portion with salad rice and kimchee. It also tasted great. Highly recommended and if I'm ever in this area again I know what to eat. Thanks so much.“
“Jeremy is still going strong with his lunch wagon. But you people really need to get out of my way because I dislike waiting in that long line (J/K). Scoopers had to raise their prices for all plates by one dollar (come on people, you can afford to pay another measly buck) due to rising costs but it is still incredibly affordable, and the quality hasn't dipped at all. Unpretentious old school plate lunches hit the spot. Always.“
“Came here at around 6:30 pm after the closed because yelp said it would still be open (yelps fault), but the owners were came out to check on us and asked us what we wanted. Beef Pho was legit with lots of noodles and meat. The mango sticky rice was really good. They also helped turn on a light for us for the outside seating area while we were eating .“
“Me and my wife go here every time we get chicken cravings! Uncles Chicken is the BOMB! If it's your first time, try the Garlic Chicken! Crispy, flavorful, and juicy chicken. The price is fair and is much cheaper than your fast food chicken chain restaurants. As for the service, Uncle is always kind, when we sees both me and my wife, he always adds a little extra to our plate, which is awesome. Triple RTs Lunch wagon is sometimes parked by the Waipahu District Park @ Paiwa St, south of Jimmys.“
“This was our first night in Haleiwa at our first time ever staying in an AirB&B. No food yet at our new place, so needed to find somewhere to eat. We thought Thai would be a good ethnic start. We actually were looking for a different place, but found this instead. A lucky find. We both ordered drunken noodles with shrimp. As it is a food truck, we ordered at a window and sat at a picnic table under a string of lights. The food came out fairly quickly and was hot. So right off the grill/griddle. It was quite good and satisfied our craving for Thai food.“

“What a fun little place to try different flavors of soda. They have so many tasty options. I tried a dr pepper with vanilla and strawberry flavors. We also ordered a frozen strawberry lemonade. I usually don't like soda and syrups because it tastes so artificial but the taste here was really good. Grab a drink before going into the PCC to sip on and you're set!“
“This was my first time eating Pad Thai and papaya salad, and I really enjoyed it! It's my kind of flavors. I will definitely be coming back as a regular. The service was also really great. He seemed so kind and genuine in serving his food. 10/10!!“
“No Ka' Oi Thai Food by Nattaya is absolutely legit! Food Truck is located up Kaahumanu St by the Waiau Fire Station / District Park. The ladies are super friendly and their food is "over the top!" We tried their Gai Tod (fried chicken), Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and Khua Kai. Needless to say, everything was super onolicious! Everything is made-to-order so be prepared wait for your order - well worth it! Payment is cash but if you use a credit card, tax will be added to your order. Biggest problem is No Ka Oi being open for business only on Thursdays and Fridays from 11 am - 4 pm. Warning - if you come after 1:00, they are often "sold out" and will close early. So come early and enjoy!“
“Found this place on a whim while in-processing. For real for real the best açaí bowl I’ve had on island. And I love that I could eat lunch here in between briefings at the soldier support center or get caffeine to help me stay awake during some of those briefings. There’s plenty of parking, but you have to go park at soldier support center. Then you walk through or around it. Mama J’s is literally a trailer and it can be easy to miss.Parking: Soldier support center parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.“
“So delicious, and not nearly the wait for the "must go to" place next door. No comparison, H'onos is SO much better. The garlic shrimp is my go to, and you can get 5 extra shrimp (same flavor) for 3 dollars. Accepts cash only.“
“Haleiwa Seafood & Grill impressed me with their seafood platter. The coconut shrimp, fried mahi, and calamari were all incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. I definitely recommend trying this dish if you're in the area. The service was friendly and quick, which made the whole vibe even better. And I have to mention the Hawaiian Sun smoothie—it was excellent and added a refreshing touch to the meal. Overall, this food truck is a must-visit and I’ll be back!“
“What a spectacular food cart! The crepes were absolutely delicious and the gentleman working was so friendly and personable. The prices were very reasonable and the portion size was huge! He really loaded it up with fresh fruit for us! Thank you for giving us such a great start to vacation!“
“Yes, the service is slow. But that’s because they make everything to order. It’s also why everything is absolutely delicious. So if you order, I would recommend that you be patient. They serve assorted pastels, chicken coxinha, pāo de queijo, misto quente, along with açai bowls. Most of the time, when you buy a pastel, you get this deep-fried pastry that is filled with 90% air and 10% filling. Not so at CG - their pastel was huge and packed with filling (palmito and cheese for me). The CG coxinha was a standout though. The coxinhas that I have eaten used a shredded chicken filling that was usually dried out. The stingier places also skimped out on the filling. The coxinha at CG though were stuffed with super-moist, flavorful, cubed bits of chicken. And to top it off, they used panko to make it extra crispy on the outside. As for the pão de queijo, they were also very good, but it looked like they were made in a mini waffle maker. I’ve never seen that before - probably a clever work-around to not having an oven in the food truck. Had it not been for the pastel and the coxinha, I would have probably raved more about the pāo de queijo.A bit of advice - check to see if the tables behind the food trucks are available - They are much nicer than the tables by the street which are crowded, noisy, and right by the street.“
“The garlic shrimp here has thin skin and you can eat the whole thing. In other places, the skin is so thick that it is best to eat it while peeling it. The shrimp here look like shrimp that have just shed their skin, so you can eat them with the skin on, so it's easy.It would be a good idea to buy beer at a nearby supermarket.“
“For cooked fish, it was pretty good! And it's massive! You can easily make this into two meals. In order to eat here, you HAVE to follow their Instagram; that's where they post their hours and location. They're normally parked right across Waialua Elementary School where the big welcome sign is: "Welcome to Waialua. Home of the World's Best Sugar" You can just park on the dirt path while you patiently wait for them. There's usually already a couple of cars waiting before the truck arrives to snag a spot in line. Don't forget they're CASH ONLY and they do prefer smaller bills/exact change. Once you get your plates, you can drive down the road to the park (literally two minutes away) and picnic on the benches! I personally don't care for cooked fish but this wasn't so bad to me. Usually cooked fish is dry but I enjoyed this one. It's drenched in sauce which does get a bit heavy but it complemented the fish well. I'd say it's a food experience everyone should try at least once!“
“Great coffee and food. Stop there atleast twice a week. Some of the best coffee I've had!Only issue I've had is they no longer stir my strikers and they're almost always separated. Since they moved to straws with no lid I have a hard time stiring it until I've already drank part of my drink“
