“Looking for something different for dessert or a snack in Waikiki? Check out this place. Asian style desserts are very unique and should be given a try if you never had them. A lot of times, they are unique twists on American or European desserts. This place is no exception and does it well. I had a mango Dole Whip with a mochi waffle pop. I love the fact that they make the mochi waffle fresh, so you get the hot waffle next to that cold Dole Whip. Great combination. At about $7, it isn't bad considering they are making something fresh for you versus just scooping out something into a cup and sending you on your way. The staff was friendly and showed care in their preparation of my order. There is a good assortment of different offerings, so you'll find something for just about any taste moods.“

“I was lucky enough to be gifted the Bibingka Brownies by a family member. And omg, it was a flavor explosion in my mouth. Moist, not too sweet, delectable and perfect!!!! I looked up this business and saw all the unique ice cream pie and ice cream cake flavors and am planning a trip to Honolulu soon to taste everything on the menu!!! “I got the mango cheesecake ice wave—a combo of shave ice, ice cream, real mango chunks, and little cheesecake bits. It wasn’t overly sweet, which I really appreciated. The smooth ice cream and fluffy shave ice helped balance out the mango and cheesecake. The shop is small and very Instagramable, with cute little kawaii items for sale adorning the walls—like a mini hydro flask! They also have a dairy-free soft serve, which is awesome. “My family & I checked out this ice cream shop in the Chinatown district in Oahu, while visiting from California, and we are new fans! My two sons enjoyed a strawberry & chocolate ice cream, & I had me their delicious “black sesame” ice cream. The black sesame is a must try! “Food: My first time didn’t had a great impression because the matcha latte I ordered barely tasted any matcha and it was very watery.

My second time was better because I ordered their gelato dessert instead. I got the matcha anmitsu that comes with 2 gelato flavors of your choice, 4 pieces of mochi, red bean paste, 2 pieces of strawberries, jelly, brown sugar syrup, and whip cream. We got the hojicha chocolate and kinako gelato. The hojicha chocolate flavor was so good, it was very strong and rich at the same time. The chocolate part came from the chocolate chunks and not necessarily blended with the hojicha. The kinako was a bit on the lighter nuttier side.

Service: Very friendly and helpful. They gave us samples to try!

Atmosphere: reminded me of the matcha places in Japan. Very nice decor of the matcha bowls and bar seating. Love the wood decor.

“As a Baskin-Robbin’s customer of over 37 years on Oahu this one in Kaneohe is by far the best baskin-Robbin’s we have ever been to! I bring my kids here all the time they treat all their customers with so much Aloha! They don’t mind giving out samples and accommodating to your requests. They are generous with what they serve and love what they do there! My kids always ask to come to this spot because of how they are treated there one time my son dropped his ice cream they seen it and without even asking they served him a brand new cone! Much Mahalo to all you workers you always do such a fantastic job on serving the people of Hawai’i. The true definition of what a great working team represents here in America these are the kind of workers that deserve to be recognized!!!“

“While visiting Hawaii and staying in the Ala Moana area, I decided to stop by the Yoajung ice cream store since it was close to our hotel. I was craving something sweet yet refreshing, so I decided to order the choco strawberry cup, and it did not disappoint because it was delicious and refreshing! The staff added plenty of dark chocolate on my cup which made it extra yummy. The cashier was also super friendly, which made the experience even better.“

“Came to Nana’s Green Tea at Stix Asia with two cars (4 people total). The posted requirement for parking validation is a $20 minimum spend at a Stix Asia eatery. Fair enough.

We initially spent under $40 on one bill and received validation for one car. Since we had two cars, we purchased an additional drink to bring the total well over $40. However, we were told they could not provide a second validation because the $20 minimum must be on a single ticket. The shift manager explained that employees could get in trouble for honoring it otherwise.

The issue is that the TV screen simply states “$20 minimum spent at a Stix Asia eatery,” which implies total spending qualifies. The single-receipt requirement was not clearly communicated. As a result, I ended up paying $6 for nearly an hour of parking ($3 per half hour).

If someone is only craving one drink or dessert, it doesn’t make sense to force additional purchases just to qualify for validation. Policies like this discourage customers from returning. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back.“

Kept his composure, greeted and thanked customers. Serviced a continuous line BY HIMSELF. Which included taking orders, making orders and cashiering, AGAIN BY HIMSELF. Did an amazing job. Not only has to be his own security for safety purposes but wow he deserves a raise. Then he has to close the place alone. Thats a lot of responsibility. “I've been to the Waikiki area a few times the past couple of years and Haleiwa Town Shave Ice is ALWAYS on my places to visit. The shave ice is always top notch. Chris even remembers us every time that we come back! That memory, the customer service and the fantastic product keep us coming back. We always get an adult large shave ice with either macadamia nut or vanilla ice cream as a base and whatever syrups we're feeling for the evening. The plan is to visit them every night that we're here! They have a good selection of ice cream and a great combination of house made and natural flavors for syrups. The shave ice is always very light and airy. A great snack after any meal.“

“Ice cream is excellent as usual and if there is a line, it’s usually very short. They measure the ice cream using a scale, which at least ensures you to get the proper amount. It’s pretty expensive here though, but I suppose it’s premium ice cream. If I had any complaints, it would be that the people serving the ice cream or making your treat would at least smile a bit.“
