“Truly a hidden gem. Ice cream cupcakes?!! Hibiki ice cream?!!Custom two layered ice cream cakes?!I am shocked that this place isn't popping off ...yet. I had their skittles cupcake and hibiki ice cream the first time. For take out, I got my wife the smores and ube cupcakes to go. I couldn't stop craving it so I was back the next week. I also bought a custom skittles cake for a friend's birthday and everyone was blown away by it. I requested a rainbow skittles cake and the meringue was just awesome. Though skittles wasn't everyone's favorite as it is tart. Any skittles fan will love this cake.

“My family & I checked out this ice cream shop in the Chinatown district in Oahu, while visiting from California, and we are new fans! My two sons enjoyed a strawberry & chocolate ice cream, & I had me their delicious “black sesame” ice cream. The black sesame is a must try! “Sat outside with a beautiful, direct view of the ocean. Ordered a chicken and gnocchi dish. Never had gnocchi before and was expecting something less dumpling-like and more pasta-like. The chicken and pesto in the dish were perfect. When our waitperson asked because I had left most of the gnocchi on my plate, I explained that it was simply unexpected, not that I was complaining. He notified his supervisor who came to check, and I again said it was not a complaint. He offered to substitute something else, but I was already full and looking forward to dessert. They removed the charge from the bill instead without me asking them to do so. Hostess and waitperson were professional, friendly, and efficient. Pricing is quite reasonable considering that this is tourist central within walking distance of Waikiki beaches. Happy to return another time.“

“This is my go to ice cream shop. All of the ice cream and gelato are made in house. I enjoy sitting in the shop and savoring my minuto scoop (kiddie cone) on a vegan sugar cone. This is a good place to bring your kids. The flavors are unique and the portions that are served are plentiful.

For our first time, I had brown sugar vanilla and chocolate; the husband had two dips of Kona coffee. Did I say so, so good? The proprietress was a doll, so friendly and aloha. “Fun little sweets shop in Koko Marina that's perfect for after dinner dessert. They're generous with samples, the flavors are so good. It's a little pricey but rent in that mall isn't cheap, so you can't blame them. Definitely the best place for dessert on the East side of town.“

Ube and peach were the seasonal flavors available, though almost everyone ordered matcha.

Original, 2023:
Amazingly creamy, lightly bitter matcha soft serve!
We ordered a matcha shave ice with matcha soft serve to share between 2 adults.
Plenty of dessert to go around.

Ice was a tad chunky and crunchy, not super fine.
3 mochi balls and 1 chestnut
A scoop of sweetened red beans
The soft serve was swirled and more matcha powder was sprinkled on top

This matcha shave ice is winning against my previous favorite at Uncle Clay's HOPA.

First week of March 2023: special flavors are Ube and
Sakura (Cherry Blossoms), which can be swirled together.
I would like to try the Ube next time. Sakura sounds pretty good, but Matcha will likely be the favored choice each time.

Staff were extremely polite and pleasant.
Shop doesn't accept cash, you must use a credit card or your phone (payment via Square).

Kid-friendliness: DQ stall is in the Makai Food Court, so there's a lot of seats and space for the family. Restrooms ? are nearby with baby changing tables too. Kids play spaces are in the other two mall wings.“

“Kith Treats is a great spot for dessert after a meal or if you're craving frozen sweets. They blend cereal with vanilla ice cream to create a soft serve swirl and you can get more cereal or syrup as toppings. I'm not a big fan of cereal and ice cream but I really enjoyed the Kith x YOKU MOKU collaboration. They used YOKU MOKU cookies which are sweet and buttery and when blended up, it worked so well with the vanilla ice cream in the form of the swirl and a milkshake. The collaboration has 9 different flavors and it's priced at $12 for the swirl, $13 for the milkshake. They are also selling Kith x YOKU MOKU merchandise and if you get it here, you won't have to pay for shipping compared to buying it from their website. Since everyone's order is custom, it will take awhile to make. The staff cleans the machine after every order so flavors don't get mixed with the order before you.

They are located inside the Royal Hawaiian Center on the street level next to the Kith (clothing) store by Cheesecake Factory. There is a small area to sit with a counter to enjoy your sweet treats but it might be better to find a table or chairs that are more comfortable around Royal Hawaiian Center. For parking, you can park in the Royal Hawaiian Center parking garage and get validation when you spend at minimum of $10. The first hour of parking is free and then it's $3 per hour for your 2nd and 3rd hour.“

Kept his composure, greeted and thanked customers. Serviced a continuous line BY HIMSELF. Which included taking orders, making orders and cashiering, AGAIN BY HIMSELF. Did an amazing job. Not only has to be his own security for safety purposes but wow he deserves a raise. Then he has to close the place alone. Thats a lot of responsibility.
