“World-traveling foodie here. Been to Italy and Peru and live in LA where excellent Italian and Peruvian cuisine is prevalent. So hear me when I say that Claudia and Gino’s Italian-Peruvian cuisine at Cipriano’s vies in my experience for the best I’ve had. Incredibly fresh local ingredients, superb bread and pasta made on-site with Italian flour, innovative recipes made with love. Very casual little yellow bungalow where we eat on a shady porch fringed with tropical foliage and from the kitchen comes your moan-worthy meal…“

“Hawaiian style cafe offers a wide selection of options for you. Pancakes are always so large and a plate come with 3 pancakes with butter. So be mindful of the size before ordering. Hash brown portion is a a little big as well. Although the pricing is so reasonable, there is always a chance that you'll waste food. The wait time can be a little long depending on the hours. Service is quite quick. Would definitely love the food and staff. This place only accepts cash. They do have an ATM onsite.
Parking: The place is so famous. Hence it might be a little difficult to find parking. But overall there are planty of parking space around the cafe.“

“Totally awesome authentic burger place. My only regret was not ordering another burger. My sister had the Surf Burger and I had the Hi-Heat. On the drive back to our hotel, we just randomly kept saying what a great burger those were. Honestly surprised we didn’t turn around and go back for more.“

“Great find, and good service, had the organic tofu stir fry, they allowed me to order it mild 🌶️, even had some interesting local greens. Only thing I would change is less salty, but that might just be my own taste. One thing to be aware of is they don’t have a public restroom. Updated from previous review on 2025-08-30“

“After a long morning at Waimea State Park, I picked Da Booze Shop because the name made me laugh. Well the jokes on me because the food, service, and atmosphere were stellar! I have always loved eating in Mom and Pop places because they always have the best food. I got the Mahi Katsu and had enough leftover for a snack. If you are traveling with kids this is a great place to eat. You can eat across the street at the park and let the kids play and expend some energy.“

“Falafel sandwich with macadamia nut cheese was really satisfying: the focaccia was fresh and crisp, the falafel was hearty, the fillings were flavorful and well-rounded. The fries were also excellent: crispy, salty, hot. Although not a huge amount of options, this place really surprised on the execution.“

“Great food! Wow we were impressed. A lot of plate lunch spots can be so repetitive but this one stood out.We got one of everything and didn’t regret it.Got the kalbi ribs , chicken, pork belly(taste like an amazing pork chop) and mahi w/creamy sauce and capers. We asked to get everything a lil more browned and he did and it was so tasty. My family of four(who are picky) loved it…not picky cause they don’t like anything but picky cause we cook so good at home, we’re not easily impressed.Lots of love was put into the food. Marinated , browned, and good portions. The only critique is that the fish could’ve used a dash more of salt but I understand that when it comes to fish you don’t want to over season so u can taste the fish. But it was still cooked really well, fresh and did enjoy it.We also enjoyed the little bit of Kimchi that was added, nice touch. And I think it was grilled? The Mac salad was bomb and so was the saimin was better than the norm. Had a bit of smokiness. We needed up get everything if u go.But There were a couple tables there. This spot didn’t have many reviews so we were hesitant but we’re really glad we went and we hope more people start going and support this food truck. We loved it. We live on Oahu but if we lived on island this would be one of our go to spots. The owner was super nice , friendly and helpful. Thanks chef! ?“

“Jade Palace – Waimea’s Hidden Gem for Big Groups & Big Flavor
We’ve found our go-to spot in Waimea: Jade Palace, where the food hits the spot, the service is fast and friendly, and feeding a hungry group doesn’t break the bank.
We walked in with a party of six—no reservation, no wait. They sat us right away (huge bonus points), and parking was a breeze. Gotta love a place that’s both convenient and delicious.
Our usual? The Family Dinner for 4—and yes, it fed all six of us with ease. We ordered:
Orange Chicken – perfectly crispy with a tangy-sweet glaze.
Salt & Pepper Fish – light, flavorful, and not greasy. A sleeper hit.
Beef with Broccoli – classic, tender, and comforting.
Mongolian Beef – bold flavors with just the right kick.
The service is warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the kitchen turns out food impressively fast. It’s hard to find a spot that hits all the marks—great prices, generous portions, tasty dishes, and reliable service—but Jade Palace does it effortlessly.
Pro tip: Come hungry, come with friends, and don't sleep on the family dinner—it’s the best deal in town.“
“Our favorite sandwich truck👏🏻. We text our order before 11am with an arrival time. We get there and pass the line for pickup! It’s that easy to get our delicious favorites: Cheesy melt and Sergio! Thanks for years of good food and service! SPEEDRACER“

“Good place for dinner after a day exploring Waimea Canyon. We ordered a veggie pizza for take out. The pizza was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed it.
However, we asked to 'substitute' a few toppings but were charged for 'substitutes' as 'extra toppings'. One pizza cost us $45+ tips. So, we paid for the toppings we never had on our pizza too. in this regard, make sure you check before paying.“

“I have ordered here many times and this restaurant stands out from the others. Everything is fresh and made to order. The pad Thai, which I requested very light on the spices and cilantro, was excellent. The only complaint I have is that sometimes the wait time is long, so if you can call ahead, you may save yourself some wait time.“

“Food is ok, it's a fast food Chinese place in a strip mall. They have decent choices and prices are reasonable. Portion size is big and filled me up, flavor left a lot to be desired but ok for a quick stop and food. Mall bathrooms were clean.
Vegetarian options: Stir fry veggies available also some tofu dish.
Parking: Plenty of strip mall style parking“

“They serve breakfast as well as the everyday faire of food. I had the French toast for my early breakfast one day and the chili spaghetti on a separate night visit. The Chili needs a little more flavor because it is fairly bland with no heat at all. Just some salt would help.
Parking: Shared lot with other businesses .“

“A hidden gem in Waimea. Their yakitori, sashimi, and sushi rolls were excellent. Try the shiitake and zucchini yakitori - an explosion of flavors and will make you love vegetables. Great service - we came back twice. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!“

“Sweet little spot with delicious food! The deep fried soft shell crab was crunchy and tasty and served with some leafy veggies and daikon. The shrimp pho was flavorful and served with a good portion of shrimp! It was served with bean sprouts, basil, jalapeños, lemon, and hoisin and sriracha sauces. It hit the spot! The Com Thit Nuong plate was just as appetizing. The pork was tender and grilled perfectly. The service was good. The appetizer was served quickly and our meals came out shortly after. I would definitely stop in again!“

“BEST SERVICE WE RECEIVED ON THE ISLAND Came here for our last dinner of the week and we're lucky enough to have Daniel as our server. Everyone enjoyed their food and it came out quick.“

“My husband and I had an unforgettable dinner at Manta! The oceanfront setting is absolutely stunning — the perfect place to watch the sunset and maybe even spot some manta rays at night. The food was excellent: fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Every dish felt thoughtful and local. The service was also top-notch — Bronson was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. He also did some amazing photos of us. Manta is definitely one of those rare restaurants where everything comes together perfectly — atmosphere, food, and service. Highly recommend for a romantic evening or special occasion! Can't wait to come back again to this delicious and beautiful place!“

“We had dinner at Naupaka several times during our stay at the Hapuna resort. Naupaka is a casual, poolside restaurant where women can just wear a coverup over a bathing suit and men wear a tee shirt over bathing suit trunks and totally relax and enjoy the most amazing sunsets on the big island of Hawaii. We enjoyed our meals at Naupaka including the fabulous coconut shrimp, burgers, salads with shrimp, and chicken sandwiches. Even more impressive than the food and sunsets was our server, Indi, who was most accommodating, professional and friendly. We hope to see her again on our next visit! We would also like to send a special shout out to our bartender, Roy, who made us the best frozen strawberry margaritas we've ever had!!!We totally enjoyed this restaurant and would highly recommend it.“
