“EDITED REVIEW: So the original owners sold the place a few years back but this place is still the best ice cream in the area. Probably the best I've ever had. The new owner is super nice, he always takes care of us and always has a smile on his face. My favorite is the butter pecan flavor burst, oh my goodness!! It's heavenly!! And a good twist cone every now and again just hits the spot. My kids love either the cotton candy or the bubblegum, of course. It's the actual ice cream that is different here and that's why it's so good. I have no idea what they do differently but whatever it is, I just hope they keep doing it because this place is my happy place lol. It's definitely my guilty pleasure. And the best part? They sell their ice cream in pints, quarts, and half gallons so you can take it home and eat it without having to make a run to the shop every time. Or maybe that's a bad thing? I don't know. But, just as a hint, if you are going to order some ice cream in large quantities, please be kind and call ahead to order whatever you need. The flavor burst machine can only put out so much and it tends to get soft after the first quart or so. But they will still take care of you because that's just what they do! But that ice cream man!! If you honestly haven't tried The Freeze, then you are seriously missing out on something amazing.Melinda is great, she is one of the owners and puts in time every single day. “Barker’s saved me for my daughter’s 13th birthday. She said for about a month she wanted an ice cream cake. Easy, perfect. Then she told me the night before her birthday she wanted a strawberry ice cream cake. I believe I spoke to the owner when I called and after she confirmed they didn’t have any premade she told me her cake maker would be in in a few hours and they could make one for me even with such a tight turnaround. They ended up getting us a strawberry cheesecake ice cream cake in about 5 hours. It made her day, was so reasonably priced, and delicious! We’ll be Barker’s customers for life with the kind of service we got today. So thankful for them helping make my girl’s day extra special!“

“Some of my coworkers have bought cookies from this chain and sang praises about them. And it just so happens there was one in my area.When I arrived, I could instantly smell freshly baked cookies. To me, that’s one of the best smells in the world. Granted, the inside area was very small for customers; only enough room to organize a line to the register and two spaces to place orders via touchscreen displays.The touchscreen displays were very convenient and allowed me to easily browse their wares. I was surprised (and somewhat disappointed) that only six types of cookies were available. It wasn’t until I did a little digging that this business would rotate flavors each week and offer special kinds during certain seasons/holidays/etc.The cashier was friendly and easily answered all my questions. I’m thankful she confirmed how the carrot cake cost about a dollar more than the other cookies.The cookies I chose were Double Fudge Brownie, Lemon Crinkle, and Strawberry Pretzel Pie. The size for each cookie was considerable but also had a price to match; over $4 per cookie. Definitely a treat to be enjoyed sparingly.The Double Fudge Brownie cookie was deemed excellent by my dad.As for my mom, who wanted the Lemon Crinkle, she thought it was okay, believing it could have used more lemon zest to improve the flavor. And after sampling it, I’d have to agree; the Crinkle cookie seemed to need more lemon and probably could have done with a slightly fancier appearance like some icing/glaze.When I dig into the Strawberry Pretzel Pie, I was surprised by how thick the cookies were. The people who made these did not do things by halves. And the flavor was pretty tasty. The pretzels added a nice crunch with the strawberry sauce being tangy and sweet, the cream topping was smooth and, well, creamy.I’m not sure how often I’ll return here, but the other options in rotation have earned my interest. The prices are high, but when they do cookies right, they’re done right.Vegetarian options: It’s a dessert shop. In my experience, meat isn’t a cookie ingredient.Parking: The parking lot is shared with several other businesses. Despite that, I found plenty of parking space.“

“This was the old Parlor City location. It still has fast food and ice cream options. Very good "concretes" or "mixers". Maybe they're called "twists"?That are similar to Dairy Queen Blizzards. The mixed ice cream treats have extra toppings, as well as mixed candy and cookies. For example, I had an Oreo and my husband has Butterfinger. There was extra Oreo and Butterfinger on top. I thought that was nice!“
“The burgers are fresh, and all the best REAL ingredients (lettuce, onion, pickles) make it more like an expensive burger. The best fries anywhere! And get a malt; the custard is just the right texture that a spoon is needed in the beginning, but a thick straw works in the end.“
