“I love Culver’s restaurants but was disappointed in the Hiawatha location this evening. We stopped there just because they had Creamy Lemon Crumble for the flavor of the day, but it turned out to be Creamy Vanilla Crumble. We couldn’t taste any lemon, though there was lots of cookie crumble in it.“

“Almost Famous in Newbo has never disappointed, but my experience today far exceeded anything I could have imagined! I went in with a very specific need--9 bags of the Crunch Berry popcorn mix. I'm attending a conference next week and need to bring a snack that represents where I live. Almost Famous is my go-to and popcorn is much easier to travel with than a case of Busch Light and Casey's pizza! There were no mini bags and no Crunch Berry on hand. The sweet gal working the counter helped me brainstorm alternatives, then suggested I talk to the owner who happened to be there. He said he has some at their production facility a few minutes away if I had time to follow him over there. He took time out of his weekend to help me out AND sent me with a few extra bags for my kids! I'm so thankful for the awesome small businesses and business owners in this community! Go getcha some popcorn!!!“

“I think the banana split could use some nuts but it's all 100% Iowan food to the core, and I go as far to say, better than the old Maid-rite on the corner, better than Center Point Jonesy's, and the cheese fries are better than Iowa state fair fries. I was pretty young when I grew up with all of these classic Iowan flavors, but Barker's IS the flavor of my whole childhood and I'm glad I can have it again, exactly like it was. After all this time, I thought I was just getting old and all adults lose their sense of taste.... only thing missing is the Maid_rite chicken noodle soup 😩 and a post it note on the ceiling.“

I didn't know what I wanted particularly and the little blonde cashier/ice cream lady there was so sweet and didn't rush me and when I remembered at the last moment to ask for less choco chips she gave me the perfect combination for the treat I was looking for!!“

“I always get the double butter burger with cheese combo mustard and ketchup only with a side of fries and either a Dr Pepper or a Sprite for the drink. Culver's has never let me down. They always get my order right even down to the condiments. The fountain drinks are always good I've never received a pop that was flat or pure carbonation that happens at gas stations all the time. The staff are friendly. And it's always busy there so that tells you something.“
