“I spoke with 2 people yesterday who assured me that my complaint and refund would be handled in a timely manner by the location that the problem occurred and still have not been contacted. I was on a road trip home and stopped at a location near Des Moines, Iowa. We stopped on 3/11/2025. I placed an order online at 4:22 pm. We pulled in shortly after and proceeded to follow the instructions of pulling into a stall, checking in on the app and putting in the stall number. The progress bar showed the order was sent to the kitchen. About 20 minutes had gone by and still no food had come out, the drive thru line was moving slowly, so I didn't want to bother the employees if they were short staffed or overwhelmed. 40 minutes had now gone by and I decided to hit the red order/call button. After about 2 or 3 minutes, a lady got on the intercom and asked what I wanted. I proceeded to explain I had checked in for a mobile order and then she right away told me to come inside. I thought that was a bit strange since it's employees only and the kitchen where non-workers should not be allowed for sanitary reasons. Once I came in, she asked what I wanted to order. I explained that I had placed a mobile order and had been waiting 40 minutes. She then scrolls through the screen and tells me that they don't have ice cream. If they knew this as soon as the order was sent, why did someone not come out and tell us. 2 items that were placed had ice cream in it, so I asked if they could just refund those. She then tells me that they can't refund anything and that I would have to request it in the app. I then ask if I can just get a soda to replace the specialty float they couldn't make. She reluctantly said yes after asking if I was going to request a refund for both items they didn't have. After explaining that I have been waiting for 40 minutes, not one of the 4 employees in the store offered an apology or an explanation why my food and drinks had been sitting and not brought out. The girl who initially told me to come inside, instead of grabbing the drinks and handing me my food, she proceeds to complain about the shift and tells the other employees to clean up and she leaves. The guy working the drive thru is saying how the day had been slow, which if that's the case, why am I being asked to come into the kitchen to grab my own food after 40 minutes. I eventually had to ask for my bag of food and multiple drinks because, although it's painfully obvious that I am inside the location that I should not be in, waiting for food that apparently has been made but nobody wanted to bring out, even though that is their litteral job. I get my food and by the time I get back to my car after all is said and done, it has now been 50 minutes from the time I placed my order. Needless to say, the food was cold, soggy and gross and the drinks were completely watered down. But after the interaction that was just had, I wasn't about to ask for it to be remade because at this point I had been in my car with 4 kids driving already for 6 hours, with 4 more to go and this had already set us back almost an hour longer than planned. I contacted someone by phone as well as the texting option and both stated they could not process a refund but would escalate my complaint and have the management contact me. I stated multiple times I did not wish to speak with anyone from the stores location due to the extreme unprofessionalism of the staff. The food was not able to be eaten on top of items I did not receive and feel that it is more than reasonable to expect a full refund.“

“Ordering your paleta at Monarca is an adventure. The options are endless and you can’t go wrong with any choice. I’m officially addicted to their strawberry cheesecake dipped in white chocolate and rolled in graham crackers. Yum!“

“This is an amazing shop in the Highland Park Oak Park area just off of sixth. The ice cream is so tasty and the ELOTES, fire. The price is also where it needs to be for the neighborhood demographic, affordable but profitable. It is so wonderful to have in the neighborhood :)“

“We decided, as we drove by, to stop in and see what this place was about. It was a really nice environment (kind of like Molly's Cupcakes). I tried the "Molly's Mashup", where the take a cupcake, split it in half, and put ice cream in between with a topping (I opted for red velvet cupcake with strawberry lemonade sorbet with whipped cream) and he tried a double scoop of mixed berry swirl ice cream. The awesome thing about the mixed berry swirl was it had pieces of vanilla cupcake in it. We were satisfied with what we got and plan to try a different combination the next time we come!!!“

“High quality, rotating ice cream flavors made in-house. Lots of selection, both in the dipping case and to-go pints in the freezer. This ice cream is premium - it's my very favorite shop in the area and I gladly pay a little extra for something this incredibly delicious.“

“Service and product was exceptional! I tried the lavender latte which was fantastic and well prepared by the barista. Chocolate is also very tasty here.“

“I made an order to pickup and when I walked in the door there were 5 employees and not a single one acknowledged me in any way. Not one smile or even eye contact. They were all very busy working and I get that but it only takes a second to acknowledge a customer. The cookies look fantastic and taste amazing. No complaints about the product but I do think the customer experience is not great due to being ignored by the staff.“

“I have come to this location many times and the employees are always very friendly and efficient!! The only downside to this crumbl bakery would be the location it is in such a bad spot and the parking is always super busy and very tight. I’ve almost been hit multiple times by people parking basically on top of my car.“

Ignore the Karen's in the other reviews, I don't know who expects a froyo place to have highschoolers who aren't a little shy. “I am the type of person that loves positivity and giving great reviews. Give honor to where honor is due. And I give great reviews, call the managers and praise the service all the time. I have also had my share of terrible service and/or food and usually do not say a word. The experience I had this afternoon at Culvers in Ankeny was horrendous. The food that is. The drive through guy that took my order, payment and delivery was so kind and helpful. I ordered a cod dinner and was only able to eat some of the fish. The 2 sides I ordered were cheese curds and fries. Both were so cold, hard and dry. I was so disappointed. The roll that came with it was cold, hard and dry as well. The butter was good! I did eat most of the fish but it too was tough. WHAT has happened to Culvers? Don't they realize that they are not the only option for food? Sad to say but I will be going to those other options for my meals in the future. The concrete I ordered was sloppy (down side of cup) and melting but did taste good. I HATE leaving a poor review but come on Culvers. Do better. Be better. If it had been just 1 food this review would never have been written. Oh, side note. This was after the lunch rush and before dinner rush. It was close to 2. Got right into drive through with no waiting. Disappointed.“

“Great service. We were asked if we qualify for the senior discount. No one had ever asked us that before. We do. So, received a 10% discount. The blizzards were good but looks like the medium size is not as big as in the past. Not surprising

“I've been wanting ice cream and one day we just turned into DQ & drove up to the window.Didn't even see the microphone area to order, up to the window we went. Were able to order 2 Med. Blizzard's ...Awww, just sweet delight ?“

“We love ice cream in our house, so we visit Baskin-Robbins frequently. The Ankeny staff are always so kind, and one staff member recognizes me when I stop in. I got our usuals tonight, and they remembered that I used the drive-thru last time because I had my dog with me. They asked about him and even packaged up a pup cup for him!“

“This is in a predominately Latino strip mall so a lot of the staff don't speak much English but I can usually get by on hand gestures. The paletas (popsicles) are really good here! I usually get the "fresa con crema" which is strawberries and cream. They also do a lot of other novelty foods which I haven't tried yet, but they seem very popular! They also have hand-scooped ice cream but I'm not sure if it's made in-house or not. Apparently, that was very good and creamy!“

“We needed 3 tubs of ice cream for our Dad's 90th birthday party. He used to own a Baskin Robins in Minnesota and having Pralines 'n Cream, Jamocha Almond Fudge and Vanilla were an important part of the party. After not being able to find the tubs here in MN I contacted Satish in Windsor Heights IA. He took the time to help us out and we were able to purchase the from him. Thank you so much Satish! Our Dad (and all the guests!) loved the ice cream!!“

“The inside is beautiful, with plants and how the tables are arranged. They even have a little area where board games were located.
I got the gelato three scoops regular strawberry and green tea. The strawberry was a bit sour but the... ????? ???!!!? was soooooo smooth(that I forgot Im lactose intolerant) having both helped balance it out. 10/10 recommend ?“
