“we have ate here on and off since moving here over 20 years ago. I love the salad bar and have always been very satisfied. However our most resent visit was NOT good. I got the cod and mashed potatoes . Our food took a long time and then my mashed potatoes and gravy were very cold. The waitress did not come back to the table for a long time. The boys were done eating and I was still waiting for a waiter to come. Eventually she came and warmed them up but by then my dinner was ruined and everyone was done eating. I will not eat warmed back up cod. So my whole dinner was chicken food. We may return but im in no hurry . Very disappointed in this visit. Never encountered this before, so hopefully it was an off day.“

“The best Irish Benedict l have ever had. Fresh homemade corned beef. My wife had French Toast. Her first comment after the first bite. OMG is this good. If you are in Galena Charlie's Place is a MUST stop.“

“Excellent burgers, huge list of choices. I had the olive burger with Swiss cheese. Delish! Others had the BLT burger, steak sandwich, and steak salad. All were excellent. Service was delightful, very friendly. We arrived at end tail end of the lunch hour and our order was a bit slow in arriving, but food was hot, fresh, and good. Atmosphere is casual, light-hearted with an auto garage theme. Highly recommended!“

Best we have ever had 😊 Salad with raspberry vinaigrette was so refreshing, the fresh bread with Parmesan and olive oil was a first experience and it was so good! We had the meatloaf, the combination of the cornbread and meatloaf together was the perfect mixture of sweet and a little spicy. Great atmosphere and great service! “This is the best place for dinner in Galena. Been to Galena multiple times. Log cabin is good, as well as Fried Green Tomatoes. This is my favorite for atmosphere, food, and service. Never had a bad meal here. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that visits Galena.“

“very packed this night. parking lot full. drive up backed into the street. people inside and outside bc weather was nice. workers having difficulty keeping up but we're upbeat and doing the best they could. seemed to be understaffed for a busy Saturday night. we ended up not ordering anything due to the wait but did hang out for a half hour and had a nice time outside.“

“You can’t go wrong with one of the best deals in town. I’ve been going to Jacks ever since I was a kid, and it still never disappoints. For $20, you get 8 pieces of some of the best chicken around, mashed potatoes, dinner rolls, coleslaw, and you definitely can’t forget the onion rings. That meal always hits. If you haven’t been to Jacks Chicken Palace in a while, do yourself a favor and stop in. Local spot, great people, and consistently fantastic food!!!“

“Off Shore is a great campground with paved roads and large cement sites for parking the RV. The view of the river from our site is so pretty! The Bar and Grill is a great place to eat, everything we tried was delicious! They have inside dining and decks outside for dining with beautiful views. “I have NEVER had a bad meal there. Because I've been there so often, I always request the same server and gotten to know her personally but she still is always professional such as letting us sample the wine before pouring full glasses, etc. It is worth every penny in my opinion!!!!“
