“The Local ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Local in Boise is “a neighborhood Eatery and Wine Pub, offering live music and rotating artists.” They also have a dog, friendly patio and a Dog menu. MW and I visited during Happy Hour, which is Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 5 PM. We ordered a mix of items off of the happy hour menu and the regular menu. We started with Hurricane Popcorn - A Hawaiian favorite - with Nori Furikaki and Japanese rice crackers. It was very flavorful and unlike any popcorn I’ve ever had before. This is a unique menu items The Local is known for. We ordered two side Caesar salads. I like that it had homemade croutons, but it needed a little more more dressing.  We shared an order of Carnitas Street Tacos, to which we added 1 extra taco. The pork was tender, but the tacos were pretty bland. We shared an order of Smash Sliders - 3 smash burgers using our own custom burger blend from Porterhouse in Eagle, with classic American cheese. They were tasty. Unfortunately, I forgot to get a photo! We shared two desserts: Berry Crisp - Blackberry cobbler topped with vanilla ice cream. The berry crisp was excellent! Crème Brûlée - Simple and delicious vanilla crème brulee. The crème brûlée was good, but not great. The texture wasn’t as creamy as it should’ve been. We visited early on a weekday, so we didn’t get to hear any live music, but we pretty much had the place to ourselves until towards the end of our visit. Overall, the food was good, but not great. However, they do have a bigger menu than most wine bars and they allow dogs on the patio. The Dog Menu looks excellent! The Local has a nice Wine Menu, as well as several local beers on tap. If you’re looking for a nice wine bar with a neighborhood pub vibe, The Local is worth considering. I would like to return and try their Pepe’s Famous Fish Tacos. The pictures of their flatbread look excellent too. * The Local is wheelchair accessible. Recommended!“

“Bluesky Bagels is hands down the BEST hidden gem in town. Not only are the bagels fresh, soft, and ridiculously delicious, but the prices are unbeatable — where else can you snag two whole bags for around $3.50? 🤯 Every time I walk in, the place smells like heaven, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and I leave wondering why I ever bought bagels anywhere else. Honestly, grocery store bagels don’t even compare — these taste like they were made with actual love. 🥯💙 If you haven’t been here yet, do yourself a favor: stop what you’re doing and go. Your mornings (and your toaster) will thank you.“

“Great place for a date night, we went to celebrate our anniversary which happens to be a couple of days before Valentine’s Day. We choose Crave as a suggestion from friends Ana family and because it had the red romantic vibe (we thought). The lights outside weren’t red like the photo, they’re blue, I think maybe they alternate colors? We ordered a couple of drinks, spinach & artichoke dip, short rib dumplings, oysters on a half shell, lobster crab roll, Thai steak and noodles. Everything was good, except the dumplings which were a bit doughy for my taste. Overall I can see why this is such a popular Eagle restaurant. They’re good for a lot of different occasions.“

“So delicious! The food got to our table quickly and was phenomenal! I highly recommend this restaurant. We ordered white and red lamb tibs and black and red lentils and loved it. The injera wasn’t too sour, as it was in a different Ethiopian restaurant me and my family have been to. Very good and would definitely go there again.“

“The last 5 years my husband and I have made this our go to restaurant for Afghani and Mediterranian food. Best naan in town--chewy, thick and flavorful. Service is excellent as always. “After a cold day at the zoo, we wanted to have a hot ramen lunch and also explore a new restaurant. I am happy that we gave this place a try! The staff was extremely attentive and friendly, and the options for customization of your ramen was much more flexible than other places I have been. The broth was rich and flavorful and the ingredients were fresh. It was extremely yummy! I can confidently say that we will be back the next time we get the itch for ramen. I will have to try the sushi next time too!“

“The food is very good. We have tried pizza and salads and both were fresh and very tastey. The on-line ordering is horrible. Yesterday we placed a to go order at 3 pm and was told that it would not be ready to pick up until 7 pm, 4 hours later. That is not unusual and sometimes they stop on-line ordering several hours before closing. They either need more ovens, a better system or discontinue take out orders because on-line ordering for take out is very frustrating and annoying.“

“One of favorite places too dine. Sorry no pics. Never think of it until too late. I had the Pho with short ribs. First time ordering. I usually try something different each time. The short rib melted in your mouth. It is a fusion Asian establishment so aside from sounding contradictory, it isn’t what I would consider authentic Pho. If you don’t smell like pho for a day or two, than I consider it American friendly. 🤓. It was still delicious and fresh ingredients. My wife has her staple Kao Sao (so?). Very tasty. The fresh rolls were also extremely fresh. Toffey (sp?) our hostess was awesome. She spent time with us discussing the menu and the chefs talents which we know first hand. Emily, our waitress was attentive and prompt and provided excellent service. We have never had a bad meal or service here.“

“I came here 2 nights in a row while on business travel! My first night my waitress Sabrina gave excellent sushi roll and wine recommendations! My new all time favorite roll is “City of Trees” - the lemon sauce is amazing. All the fish so fresh I was very surprised and pleased. The all you can eat deal is amazing if you want to try a few things. I sat at the sushi bar around 5/6 on Wednesday and Thursday and it was a great experience! Abbey was my server on Thursday and she was very attentive and kind as well!! I definitely recommend that time frame as it fills up fast!“

“I popped into Stella’s late one afternoon on my way home from work, looking to treat myself with a pint of ice cream. I couldn’t decide between my usual go-to flavor of mint chocolate chip, or if I wanted to try something new. I wound up doing both and also got a pint of the All Nighter, a coffee-flavored ice cream. They even had peanut butter PUPsicles so I grabbed one of those for my dog. The gal at the counter (who was super helpful while I asked questions about the ice cream flavors) rang me up and I was on my way. I’m almost (but not entirely) embarrassed to admit that I didn’t make it home before I needed to try a bite of the ice cream. I was in standstill traffic, it was hot, and I had a spoon. Or so I thought. I was already committed at that point so I just took a little bite off the top of the opened pint. And another. And another. It was so good that I ate what I could reach without the use of a spoon, then I had to try the other flavor. Both were so good and creamy that I had to force myself to put the lids back on and save some for my husband. My dog is lucky I didn’t break into his pupsicle. Now to the pupsicle. I gave it to my dog as soon as I got home. His little mind was blown by the surprise treat and I sat on the floor with him, holding the pupsicle as he licked it. He didn’t stop until the ice cream was gone and once it was, he still had the cookie part to eat. He rated it 4 paws up and wants another. I will definitely be back to try all the flavors!“

“I popped in at lunch time and they were super busy and packed but so quick!!! I got my cup in about 5-7 minutes of being there even though the line was literally to the door. I also love the art they do on every cup. Overall one of the best mochas I have ever had as someone who drinks a mocha almost daily.“

Our main dishes included the cacciuco (seafood stew), tagliatelle with bolognese and tortioli pasta with hazelnut pesto, carmelized pearl onions and local roasted assorted mushrooms. “We tried Soup Kettle for the firsr time after the Nampa location opened and we are addicted. We got at least twice a week, we've had their breakfast croissants, other sandwiches, soup and milk teas. Everything has been delicious and the employees are always so sweet and helpful.“

The heated dining patio had great atmosphere and fun music, and it felt like a place that has been enjoyed for many years. I've lived in Idaho for a very long time, so my only regret is not trying this place much sooner. Will definitely return!“
