“I had a nice experience with my granddaughter. The staff was very friendly and attentive to her. My only issue is that when ordering fries they don't fill the box. I always get 1/2 of what the box size is.“

After talking with the owner, we learned the building is over 100 years old and it was a filling station. They have transformed the building into a very quaint location that is very welcoming! “This place CJ‘s coffeehouse is the best donut shop I’ve ever gone to.. Dunkin’ Donuts is pathetic in comparison. their donuts are far more superior. There’s more Dunkin’ Donuts close by me, but I go all the way to Zion for my donuts.. kudos to CJ’s!!!!“

Disappointed with the price updates lately, a sandwich is now the same price as it used to be but a half size. I understand the rising costs of things but I think management needs to reconsider this or adjust prices to bring back the original sizes.“

Our server was super friendly, the kitchen was backed up a little but she made sure to check in frequently and keep us updated. Super cute inside too, definitely recommend for easy breakfast!“

“If Cheers was in Lake Bluff, it would be Prairie. Each member of the staff has a unique and inviting personality who makes each visit feel personal, inviting, and small town. The regulars are split between morning and evening hours, with a few floaters. We welcome folks to the community, catch up on happenings, and bring a little joy each day. Mandy, the chef, compiles an amazing array of food items, from cinnamon rolls and coffee cakes, to casseroles and egg sandwiches during the morning, and a variety of sandwiches in the afternoons. The spot has outdoor seating on the sidewalk, as well as a dedicated secluded covered alley space with ample seating and ambience. Summertime events include covered alleyway cookouts and inclusion of other local businesses for special bites. Evenings can feature a quiet bar, karaoke, or live music. With a recently announced addition of Jeff Urso, a local restauranteur, to the ownership, 2024 is anticipated to be a great year for Prairie. Would highly recommend checking out this local gem.“

He was so proud to have designed a donut (which was actually just the cookies and cream option from the menu) but he watched them make it and decorate it and then showed it to everyone he passed. He said they were the BEST donuts he’s ever had! I had the cold brew with sweet cream which was solid.“

It was busy when we walked in with lines for those wanting to get there bubble / boba tea. There was a great menu of options to choose from and a nice sitting area to relax, and enjoy the drinks. Staff were quick and busy filling in the orders that were coming in. This is located in Chinatown near the Chinatown square. Great spot and delicious boba teas! We will definitely come back when we visit this area again!“

“Family decided to go to Dunkin after church. Originally we went to the Dunkin closer to our house that is on N. Lewis. Customer service was horrible there so we left and came to this one. We were greeted when we came in, and the food was delicious. I only put three stars for service because the lady that attended us was slow. Physically slow. So slow that my daughter who is 11 was saying watching her was like she was in slow motion. Like, her movements were very slow, so that you kinda understand what I'm mean. I'm not sure if she is maybe developmentally delayed, and if she is,she was amazing. Or maybe she didn't have coffee yet. Not sure. It's like it took her a moment to register what was being said. At any rate, other than that, (and that wasn't that bad, really) definitely 5 stars for the rest.“

My wedding was scheduled for August 8,2020. But due to Covid-19, we unfortunately had to cancel. Janice was extremely compassionate, understanding and flexible during the whole process. Sweet Home Gelato was the most compassionate and flexible vendor. It is not easy to cancel a wedding, unfortunately many vendors were not as accommodating. “Came in today for a coffee to see a man being an absolute idiot to the girl behind the counter.
This man sat there and nit picked everything she was doing.
He proceeded to nit pick how the machine brewed espresso and that he wanted his coffee exactly 118 degrees.

This girl with pink and green hair was killing it! If someone did that to me I probably would have flown over that counter,
Even after dealing some an absolute idiot of a man she was very freindly , helped me pick out flavors of coffee and my drink is a absolutely amazing

“The donuts are fantastic but the place itself is gross. The floor is sticky and looks like it hasn't been swept or mopped in days. No napkins available and when we asked the staff said their boss hadn't ordered any paper goods or cleaning supplies in a while. The bathroom didn't have toilet paper, soap or paper towels either and was disgusting. I wonder if they even have soap in the kitchen to wash their hands. I don't think it's dramatic to say the health department should probably be called.“
