They also get your order accurate too. If you ask for extra mocha or extra anything they'll do it (for extra cost) but they won't forget.“

“As soon as you finish reading this, you need to get the “Funky Hippie.” I have been a long time customer, and my beverage of choice is the “Dirty Hippie.” It combines cold brew, matcha, hemp milk, and lavender syrup. However, I came in on July 30th, 2026, only to notice that their summer menu was in full swing. On the menu there was a “Funky Monkey” available. Enticing for sure, but how could I forfeit the opportunity to once again indulge in the “Dirty Hippie.” I mulled my options, verbalizing this dilemma with my bestest friend and the barista on staff. She noted that the banana syrup, exclusive to the “Funky Monkey,” could be added to the “Dirty Hippie.” I knew what had to be done. It was in that moment the “Funky Hippie” was born. My only regret is that I drank all of mine. Perhaps what we want most is what we had and lost. Go to Tala. Experience the “Funky Hippie.” You might ask why I would be willing to share this secret recipe with you all. It is my mission to spread that which is good in this world. All I ask in return is for you to propagate this message. “Delicious boba tea! I had the Coconut milk tea with boba and my husband had the mango fruit with boba. This was our first time here! It was busy when we walked in with lines for those wanting to get there bubble / boba tea. There was a great menu of options to choose from and a nice sitting area to relax, and enjoy the drinks. Staff were quick and busy filling in the orders that were coming in. This is located in Chinatown near the Chinatown square. Great spot and delicious boba teas! We will definitely come back when we visit this area again!“

“My 4 year old son loved it here!!! He was so proud to have designed a donut (which was actually just the cookies and cream option from the menu) but he watched them make it and decorate it and then showed it to everyone he passed. He said they were the BEST donuts he’s ever had! I had the cold brew with sweet cream which was solid.“

“Some of the best pastries I have ever had! I have been there several times now and plan to keep going. Service has always been quick and efficient. Staff is polite, cafe is kept very clean, there is a little play area for kids, and they even have Mahjong tables you can rent for free! I plan to play Hong Kong style with some friends in September. I stopped in for a simple black coffee once and it was great. It is very modern on the inside and the coffee is expensive for what I got, but good staff and short wait time. The study area has a good view of the road so you can take a short break from your work and enjoy the atmosphere.“

“I've been here three times in the past year and have been wowed each time. The employees are always nice and accommodating. The food is perfect each time, the bathrooms and restaurant itself are very clean, and the space is welcoming! That's saying a lot from someone who worked in a lot of restaurants over the years and can easily spot issues. Bagels are chewy, thaw nicely after being in my freezer for a bit, and make excellent sandwiches. Thank you for the Windex and cleaning up my water bottle catastrophe ;)“

“Something new in the Mall food court! Staff is so friendly and talkative, love them! They have truly great selection of unordinary pizzas. You have to try ordering from the menu! Ready slices are good, but freshly made mouthwatering pizza is so much better. I tried pear pizza, was very impressive, chef's creation, but my best favorite is vegetarian pizza. “5+1?This small out-of-the-way Starbucks (located inside Target) is really a diamond in the rough, if you consider Starbucks a diamond, LOL. They make the store on Grand and Green Bay look pathetic. The young man working behind the counter, his name is Felipe, is extremely articulate and knowledgeable, about Starbucks offerings, unlike the other store. I came in for the Medicine Ball, that is a stress relieving, stomach settling concoction that Starbucks has come up with. It's not on the menu but if you're stressed or just not feeling well, this is the thing to get. See Felipe, he's a nice young man and working his way through school. He is very attentive and always smiling. As a matter of fact I'm going to give them an extra star because he's such an excellent hire for them, he should be in management.??“

“What a positive experience I had at the Lake Bluff Starbucks. I went for a 30 minute coffee to check my emails, and was so pleasantly surprised when the barista asked if I wanted a ceramic mug for my coffee. She even offered to bring it to my table. When she brought it, she mentioned they offer a free refill. Then, another barista came around with a free sample of one of their ice coffees. What a very pleasant experience. Thank you, Starbucks!“

“Love having a Starbucks in Lake Forest. So convenient. Also love some of the workers there. Daniel and Jay to name a couple. I just wish they would get the free refill program correct for gold card members. I get the snarky face from the manager and a couple others when asking for my free refill. They keep telling me I need to buy a regular coffee to get a refill when in fact Starbucks web site says get a free refill regardless of the original beverage.“

“Been to Tous les Jours a few times, but finally gave in and tried the macarons for my birthday :) Yeah, they’re a little pricey, but WORTH IT. Had the lemon, pistachio, and salted caramel, and each one was better than the last. They’ve always got really unique breads and pastries, and everything tastes super fresh every time I go in. You can tell they actually care about quality here. Definitely recommend checking this place out!“

“Family decided to go to Dunkin after church. Originally we went to the Dunkin closer to our house that is on N. Lewis. Customer service was horrible there so we left and came to this one. We were greeted when we came in, and the food was delicious. I only put three stars for service because the lady that attended us was slow. Physically slow. So slow that my daughter who is 11 was saying watching her was like she was in slow motion. Like, her movements were very slow, so that you kinda understand what I'm mean. I'm not sure if she is maybe developmentally delayed, and if she is,she was amazing. Or maybe she didn't have coffee yet. Not sure. It's like it took her a moment to register what was being said. At any rate, other than that, (and that wasn't that bad, really) definitely 5 stars for the rest.“
