“As soon as you finish reading this, you need to get the “Funky Hippie.” I have been a long time customer, and my beverage of choice is the “Dirty Hippie.” It combines cold brew, matcha, hemp milk, and lavender syrup. However, I came in on July 30th, 2026, only to notice that their summer menu was in full swing. On the menu there was a “Funky Monkey” available. Enticing for sure, but how could I forfeit the opportunity to once again indulge in the “Dirty Hippie.” I mulled my options, verbalizing this dilemma with my bestest friend and the barista on staff. She noted that the banana syrup, exclusive to the “Funky Monkey,” could be added to the “Dirty Hippie.” I knew what had to be done. It was in that moment the “Funky Hippie” was born. My only regret is that I drank all of mine. Perhaps what we want most is what we had and lost. Go to Tala. Nice indoor and outdoor spaces to eat and they bring the food to your table. Staff is pleasant and accommodating help. I live within walking distance, live right across from the library.
As always, the owners as you can see the gentleman in the pictures always smiling happy that we are all enjoying his restaurant.

The husband and wife team are amazing people there they have a great display of machines, snacks, Ramen, and the best fun drinks.

Today I went by because I was on a huge DoorDash order. It’s great to be able to come here as a customer and as a delivery driver.

So many drinks I took to a companies office.

It’s so great that the owners has the order ready for me as I arrived and can do very large orders.

I know my customers are happy. I’ve seen people sitting there with a smile and I’m so glad they are here with us in downtown Mount Prospect.

We’ve had our place since 2016 and I’ve seen many buildings and businesses come into our area.

“every time I stop at this Scooters location, what I get with my order of coffee is smile, happiness and good vibes. I love this location and what happened yesterday was a cherry on a cake. I did my order on the app, I ordered coffee which wasn't available anymore, I didn't notice time frames and the app allowed me to buy this drink, when I got to pick up window, the girl which works there, very friendly and wonderful young woman apologized so much explaining that they don't have this coffee at that time no more and gave me 3 donuts for that. “Delicious boba tea! I had the Coconut milk tea with boba and my husband had the mango fruit with boba. This was our first time here! It was busy when we walked in with lines for those wanting to get there bubble / boba tea. There was a great menu of options to choose from and a nice sitting area to relax, and enjoy the drinks. Staff were quick and busy filling in the orders that were coming in. This is located in Chinatown near the Chinatown square. Great spot and delicious boba teas! We will definitely come back when we visit this area again!“

The food is perfect each time, the bathrooms and restaurant itself are very clean, and the space is welcoming! That's saying a lot from someone who worked in a lot of restaurants over the years and can easily spot issues. “I stopped by on an early Sunday afternoon to get some work done on my laptop, and the place was packed. Not to mention, the parking lot was full but there is 30 minute and 2 hour parking a short walk away, so don’t get discouraged if you’re driving here! I ordered a small iced latte and HT breakfast sandwich, and both were sooo good. I really want to try the wrap next time I come here. The espresso has an original flavor and the sandwich was simple with light ingredients but was also very tasty. The atmosphere is very lively so I didn’t stay to study for long since it was busy and booming with conversation, but I can’t complain! It’s lovely to see everyone enjoying their time here as much as I did. I even shared my table with two lovely ladies because they asked so nicely and who am I to refuse? lol. very nice community feel and staff is super helpful and kind.“
