Vegan birria tacos (made with perfectly seasoned mushrooms) were excellent, though I have to admit the consomé wasn't, unfortunately. But the vegan soul plate was all good. The fried hearts of palm were tasty and crunchy, the mac and cheese was creamy and not too heavy, the sweet potatoes were Thanksgiving-y, and the greens did their job. And the hibiscus and ginger tea I ordered was delicious! I just wish it was less than a 40-minute drive for me, but what can you do?“

We received so many compliments from guests saying it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Meghann was extremely helpful & accommodating during the planning process. Anything I needed she made sure it was taken care of. Our day of coordinator Luis was awesome as well as all of the staff there. Everyone was super friendly and always on top of everything. Immediately after the ceremony was over we had a drink in hand and apps in our bridal suite for us. We were blown away by the food and everything from start to finish. We were there for a huge social club banquet, and the place was absolutely buzzing. The room was packed, the energy was high, the bartenders were clearly having a great time behind the bar, and the Shirley Temples were flowing like someone accidentally leaned on the soda gun for three straight hours.

Now before I even get into our night, I need to acknowledge another reviewer who once said this place is “2 Legit 2 Quit.”

After spending the evening there, I can confirm that statement is scientifically accurate. Atmosphere? Legit. Staff? Legit. Food? Legit. Hallways? Surprisingly legit. Carpets? Still legit. Bathrooms? Also holding strong in the legit department. Whoever wrote that review clearly did a full building inspection tour, and honestly I respect the thoroughness.

But the real MVP of the night was Kevin John, our table server.

Kevin John might be the quietest hardest-working server in the Midwest. No big announcements, no dramatic entrances — just pure efficiency. The man worked like a hospitality ninja.

Every time we looked down, more food plates had magically appeared on the table. No one asked. No one waved him down. Kevin John had already taken care of it. Plates cleared, new plates delivered, everything running like a perfectly organized banquet machine.

At one point we all realized something incredible: we had never once needed to ask for anything all night. Kevin John had already handled it before the thought even finished forming in our heads.

The man wasn’t just serving the table — he was quietly running a one-man food distribution operation while making it look effortless.

Between the fun crowd, the lively bartenders, the endless Shirley Temples, the legit carpets apparently approved by previous reviewers, and Kevin John making sure our table stayed well fed all night long, the entire event was fantastic.

“We had a great experience working with Biagio for our daughter’s quinceañera. Specially with Blanca she is dedicated, honest and always willing to go the extra mile for us. The appetizers, diner, deserts, gelato cart, hot dog cart, delicious! We had all great reviews from our guests. We were able to have an outside organizer decorate the hall for us and they worked very well together which made it possible for us to relax and enjoy the process. “From the moment we booked Ashton Place, we knew we were in great hands. Puneet, the General Manager, was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire planning process. He was incredibly responsive, easy to communicate with, and truly wanted to bring our vision to life.

We had multiple meetings/email exchanges leading up to the wedding to make sure every detail was exactly how we envisioned it. As wedding planning goes, our timeline changed several times, and the Ashton Place team was always flexible, accommodating, and willing to work with us. That level of customer service made such a difference and gave us so much peace of mind.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning. The draping, lighting, beautiful stage, and Chiavari chairs created such an elegant atmosphere for our ceremony. We hosted both our ceremony and appetizer hour there, and the space accommodated all 300 of our guests comfortably while still feeling beautiful and welcoming.

The food was AMAZING! We received so many compliments from our guests about how delicious everything was during appetizer hour. The servers were also wonderful, friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the event.

The hall is not the best for sound reinforcement as you will need a separate rig pointed to where the main entrance is to ensure you will have even coverage for all patrons. However, it is a minor detail that with the right professional shouldn't be a problem. The catering was very good and the space looked very nice. Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a nice event space.“
