“I just walked out of the door and am so glad that God sent us there. We tried 3 places prior to walking in CheSa’s doors which was a definite blessing. We had the catfish skillet, bourbon peach cobbler franchise toast, chicken sausage and scrabbles eggs w/cheese washed down with a breakfast martini. “So today I had a friend in from out of town and we topped off our afternoon with a visit to Miski Bakery. I was dying to try the alfajores, and they did not disappoint! The very delicate morsels melted in our mouth, and the creamy luscious dollop of dulce de leche caramel was a perfect pairing. In addition we tried the Milhojas/Napoleons in two flavors the Lucuma pastry creme and also the dulce de leche. A thousand layers is correct, these were amazingly tall, crispy and filled with air, both were delicious but the Lucuma(a Peruvian fruit) pastry creme was the standout. It had such a delightful delicate flavor I had never tasted previously. After speaking with Carmen the owner I asked whether or not they ever carried Turrón de doñja Pepa. She just happened to have some freshly baked sitting on the tray behind the counter, but alas it was still awaiting its filling. This gives me a great reason to return and indulge in that special treat. It is prepared every other week. The service was warm and friendly. This is definitely a hidden gem in the neighborhood you shouldn't miss out on. I will be returning often.“

“Today CheSa was in my building The Franklin downtown and of course I had to support my own! I got the 4 cheese Mac/jerk chicken bowl. Not too spicy but had a nice kick. Chicken was tender. Only issue is the juice from the chicken made the Mac and Cheese runny at the bottom“

I've eaten tamales most of my life and I brought some for my grandma who came to Chicago from Mexico and she absolutely loved them she has been eating them for 70 plus years and for her to provide her stamp of approval means a lot. “Bar and liquor store combo with a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and a great selection of whiskey and beer.

We had our rehearsal dinner there, and it was exactly what we wanted. Very much our style. Saved us a bunch of money doing it there vs our other options. And the nice thing was that we were able to cater whatever food we wanted there.

We also got the spirits for our wedding through them. They had the best prices from everything we vetted, and we were able to return all the unopened bottles that were leftover after the event.

“blown away. fantastic coffee, delicious flavors, and amazing food. you can definitely taste that the espresso is very high quality and that the baristas are skilled at what they do (something that's not as common as I'd like among Chicagoland coffee shops). the syrups they use are some of the best I've ever tasted, hands down. the torta was also delicious, ingredients tasted fresh and very well prepared and assembled. the only small complaint is that the matcha isn't particularly strong, but the amazing flavor of everything else honestly makes up for it.“
