Super seamless pick up. It was clean and quiet inside the establishment. I loved the Birria vegan tacos. The chef did not skimp on the mushrooms or the flavor. I would've wanted it to be spicy but it was still delicious without. For vegan consume, I will say it's good but doesn't quite hit the spot as the non vegan consume would. Great for dipping though. I think three tacos is incredibly filling but would've appreciated rice or beans to be added to the dish for the price. As a tea connoisseur (not really but still), I can appreciate the liquid gold beverage. I definitely believe this is for people interested in trying tea or using it for medicinal purposes. I found it to be something I could've whipped up at home so I wouldn't be inclined to try again. Overall, I will be a repeat customer.“

I had an excellent shrimp and crab cake po boy (pictured) and my companion had the whitefish dinner. The place had a steady stream of locals—this deli is clearly a local lunch hot spot. And for good reason—good food and good value. Not much seating inside, but a decent-sized patio out back which will be great in warm weather.“

Firstly Remedy, Sarah Ann and Andrea were super responsive, totally knew all their stuff and were incredibly respectful of our budget and desires. The tasting with them was fun and Very tasty and I can't thank them enough for how our wedding went last weekend. We got to the venue and honestly everything was done and done better than I could have imagined. They flipped the room after the ceremony and I can't get the picture of how beautiful it looked out of my mind! They know how to set a gorgeous table even with our sort of minimal decor. The lead greeted us and asked us only necessary questions and then just got it done which was a godsend because of all the chaos of our families and wedding party etc. We came back to the private room after our photos and there was a gorgeous plate of appetizers and our signature drinks there waiting. All of our guests told us how amazing the food was, bar staff was great, and not a single thing was out of place or late or off. At the end of the night them or the venue staff Both? (they worked in tandem with Ovation, Chicago) handed us a box of all our stuff rounded up from everywhere and thank god they did because by midnight I dunno if we would have been super able to find it all ourselves! Absolute professionals who know exactly how to cater an amazing party. Our venue was super happy that we chose them because they love working with them too and it's clear to see why. “I have worked with Jewell many times since 2015, this was my first time using "Jewell To Go Catering" and the service and quality is just as high level. Most recently used for a cold serve lunch of 3 proteins, salad and starch for 20ppl - everything was great. The sauces did not have much punch to them, they were super mild, but I thought this was ideal for a business lunch where everyone had to be comfortable in a long meeting following eating without getting to brush their teeth, etc.“

Recently I celebrated my birthday with friends at an outdoor movie night. I ordered Taylor’s tacos for the group and when I tell you they were a hit? Believe me. Steak, asparagus, shrimp and the salad were so delicious. The toppings were on point. A real gourmet experience. Taylor and Maya are professionals who give exceptional customer service. From first contact, to the tasting, to executing flawlesly the night of the event, everything was top notch and professional !! The tasting was a first of its kind experience for me and everything was so delicious it was hard to decide what not to include... but Nit helped guide my decisions, knowing from experience what people want to eat at a party, how they want to eat it, and how much of it they will eat.. but his greatest feat of the night may have been his last minute change to the floor plan to put a quad bar in the middle of the room, resulting in quick, no line beverage service the entire evening! I received many compliments specifically about just that!! They served alcohol provided by me, and when we started to get low on tequila and vodka, Nit sprung into action, ran down the street, and came back with 7 bottles of each!! I wanted food stations and not a sit down dinner. they set up 3 stations around the room, each with something different, as well as an amazing desert table, and the service from the staff was outstanding !! I would definitely recommend using J&L catering for your event. I would also recommend slightly over estimating your number of guests as I did to be sure you hopefully have a little leftovers of each item, not only because it was delicious, but because if you have no leftovers, it means at some point, you ran out... “Debra literally MADE our wedding. Working with Debra and her team was a dream from start to finish. Prices were reasonable, she was so incredibly flexible, I had her cell phone so I could get ahold of her at any time and - of course - the food was GREAT. Not only that but she was literally our 'day of' planner in the sense that she took charge on our wedding day and made sure everything stayed on schedule and ran smoothly without me having to worry. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a top quality caterer where you get individualized attention and flexibility. I looked at some of the large caterer wedding packages where they want to charge you for extra forks and were hard to get ahold of and I couldn't imagine having worked with any of them for our wedding. My mother in law, who has past professional experience in the industry as well, was able to book his team for a subsequent event for her office and she sang his praised for that event as well. He is from Louisiana and has mastered Creole/Cajun classics but was also able to riff off of all our ideas (for a ~7 course cocktail style menu) and provided plenty of helpful feedback to hone the final menu. He even sourced specific product imports from back home to ensure the quality of his dishes.
