“Poke Poké is the perfect spot if you're craving a fresh, customizable bowl. I went in and built my own poke bowl with tuna, avocado, and spicy mayo, and it hit the spot. The fish was super fresh, and they load you up with toppings—no skimping here! The place has a cool, modern vibe, and the staff is chill and helpful if you need suggestions. I spent around $14 for my bowl, which was totally worth it for the quality and portion size. If you're in the area and want something healthy but tasty, this place is a must-try.“

“March 2025
Dined here for the first time. Place was packed on a Sunday night. Menu looked decent. Total spent $75 with tip.
4/5 stars overall on food
Ordered shoyu tonkatsu ramen, regular tonkatsu ramen, and one homura don to try the rice bowl. Appetizers gyoza and the age tofu.
The two appetizers were good, just enough portion wise to wet your appetite. Typical dumplings that you can buy in the frozen section but still tasty. The tofu lightly coated and fried sat on top of a slightly sweet soy based sauce.
The two ramen bowls were good size. However, everyone agreed that the broth in the shoyu bowl was tastier, 4 stars. 😋 The other one was bland 😒, according to the person who ordered it, but adding the chili oil helped, 3 stars. Bowls were mostly bamboo shoots, one piece of seaweed, 2 pieces of thinly sliced chashu pork belly plus half soft boiled egg. Approx $15 each.
As for the homura don, which was a ground pork rice bowl, this was the most disappointing, 2 stars, compared to other Japanese restaurants back home in Michigan, as well as the Taiwanese version, which is lots of ground pork drenched over rice with a sauce and pickled vegetables, which were nonexistent in this recipe.
For $8.99, this was basically a bowl of rice, with maybe a tablespoon of ground pork, sauce, green onions, plus half soft boiled egg. Also added a side of kimchi for a dollar. This was not what I expected. I would not order this again. Basically ate a bowl of rice for dinner with kimchi. The pork had no flavor and not even visible in this dish. 😢
5/5 stars on service and atmosphere
The waitstaff are all male and in observing all the busy tables plus ours, and a line waiting to be seated, they were on top of it. They filled water glasses, food came out fairly quickly, took care of people walking in...kudos to great service! 👏👏👏
The atmosphere is quite lively. The space comprised of some booth type seating, with a few tables to accommodate 4 to 6 people; and places for 1-2 guests available separated by a wood panel. Comfortable and easy for conversation.
We would go back and try a few other dishes to see how we like it, next time we visit Chicago.“

“If you are in Chicago and want to eat Wagyu Steak: This is definitely the correct place!
We enjoyed our visit in this restaurant our waitress supported us by grilling the food and we enjoyed the dinner. Unfortunately I forgot here name, but I will update the comment when I remember her name. She was really very helpful and with great patience as we not understood in the beginning the system.
So for my followers I will explain the process:
Basicly you have two tiers to select: Silver and Gold. The details of the tiers can give your waitress.
You order through a iPad and each person can order 6 different dishes. Be careful the time is limited on 2 hours.
I would suggest to go early to avoid any waiting times.
Enjoy your Wagyu 🤗“

“Went there around 4 for a late lunch and couldn’t have been happier with what I ordered. I tried the following rolls: yakuza, anaconda, spicy tuna, and Philadelphia. Each tasted super fresh, had delicious flavor, and was a great amount of food for the cost. Our waitress was very attentive and polite. I can’t believe I didn’t try this place sooner!!“

“Been here a few times now and got their sushi lunch special. Decent sushi at decent price. It's a small carry out with 2 booths. Not intentionally for dine in. They're always friendly and nice. Which is why I'll keep coming back. I liked that the lunch special comes with a big container of soy sauce and miso soup. As a matter of fact, I might stop by for some sushi today ?“

“A light evening at this relative central location. Great sushi pleasant store , very colorful but chill, one thing I didn’t expect was the floor was a little slippery , but looked clean may just be the type of tiles used or my shoe . Staff was pleasant and welcoming. Love the anime’s/gaming theme to store and names for the type of rolls, you could tell it was thought through and deliberate. Time between order and receiving the meal was quick …. I loved the Mario roll and crab Rangoons were more ish (would go back for this) .
Ultimately a Great experience and left comfortably full but not stuffed worth the spend??
Parking: It really depends on on time you go but the seemed to have a bunch of street paid parking relatively easy to access“

“This has been my favorite restaurant for 25+ years. Their service and food are of the highest quality. They are better than any hibachi restaurant and I will only go here for hibachi. The garlic lobster and shrimp are out of this world. I have even gotten taken out numerous of times and it’s still just as delicious!“

“Sushi-San at the Willis Tower never misses and always gets it right!
Big fan of the hand rolls for a quick lunch that is delicious, satisfying, and reasonably priced.
My favorites are the crunchy fatty tuna, toro, spicy scallop, and then mixing it up with the roll of the day. Nice miso soup comes with the combo and you can stick with water or a refreshing cold green tea.
Pull up to the bar, say what’s up to the friendly team, check some email, or just vibe.
Long live Sushi-San!“

“We recently visited for my bday on 5/31. The decor is beautiful and the service was stellar! Everyone was attentive and friendly. Our hibachi chef was amazing. He was extremely entertaining and super accommodating. He made our hibachi dinner experience the best we have ever had. The food was perfect and great portion sizes. My son even ordered Spider rolls and said they were amazing! My two teens and 1yr old enjoyed it immensely! Thank you all for the great celebration. We will be back for sure!!! Highly recommend to all!!“

“I BEEN TO THIS PLACE A FEW TIMES AND HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. I ALWAYS BUY THE CHICKEN TERIYAKI THE CHICKEN IS TENDER PLENTY OF RICE AND THE SAUCE IS DELICIOUS. YOU CAN ALWAYS REQUEST EXTRA SAUCE ONCE IT IS COOKED. THE SAUCE IS WHAT MAKES THIS MEAL. SOME OF THE CASHIERS ARE MORE FRIENDLIER THAN OTHERS. BUT I JUST ENJOY COMING TO THIS FAST FOOD JOINT IT IS DIFFERENT FROM THE USUAL BURGERS AND CHICKEN PLACES.
Vegetarian options: ASK AND U WILL RECEIVE“

“loved the cozy atmosphere of this place. went with a friend on a saturday night (with a reservation) and they told us service would be slow because they were understaffed - it was not slow at all
we tried:
• lychee please cocktail
• toro tartare
• chicken karaage
• shio pork belly
• tako nuta
• takoyaki
• hamachi nigiri
• sake nigiri
toro tartare and shio pork belly were definitely the stars. toro tartare was delicious, and it had a perfectly soft & buttery texture. shio pork belly was juicy and flavorful with a tasty sauce drizzled on it
the chicken karaage and nigiri pieces were dishes that i could tell were quality, but not necessarily for me. the ginger flavor in the chicken karaage was too strong for my liking, and the nigiri pieces had strong wasabi flavor, which i don’t personally like
overall a very pleasant dining experience that i would definitely recommend“

“The 17 course Omakase was exceptional, the service was on point. they have the timing down to a science. It is a hidden gem. You are transported into the 90s, it almost like a 90's hip hop speakeasy. It is truly a restaurant that is one of a kind.“
