Splurge for the tempered butter, it is worth it. Fantastic salads and soups, too. And the smoked beets are to die for!! Worth it to go just for that.“

“Food is great and served in reasonable time. The waitress could be more attentive to patrons seeing that the tip is added to the bill and paid before even receiving food. I asked for something and she forgot and brought it to the table 15 minutes later after I was almost done with meal. Had to ask for water, waitress only filled up my husband’s glass not mine and both were pretty much empty and I wasn’t even asked if I wanted more water. Hopefully this is read and improved on my return visit. It least it shows me how to tip next time 😏“

“This place was terrific!! We ate here yesterday and the food was wonderful. Friendly staff and even though there was a sign asking patrons to be patient with any delays due to limited staffing, it did not impact any aspect of our visit. I would strongly recommend giving this place your business and support locally owned establishments.“

“Just flew to St. Louis from Atlanta with my husband and came here straight from the airport. We were lucky enough to get last minute reservations and oh my God, so glad we did. We had the most amazing service and food. Corinne was our waitress and she was just OUTSTANDING and SO sweet!!! She felt like a friend since the start of the dinner. Honestly every single person here was so generous. The other waiter kept checking on us as well and even the women by the door when you first walk in! I can’t wait to come back the next time I’m home :)“

“Got the brisket with sweet potato fries and pickles. My friend got the ribs and corn. Both were good, very tender. The sauce was also really nice (I tried all four and we really liked the spicy one the most).

The lineup was long when we got there but it was pretty quick, I think we had a 20-30 minute wait so not too bad (I once waited for an hour at a different BBQ place).

Placed our orders and food came out pretty quickly. The staff was really nice and recommended the sides (was not disappointed).

The inside had plenty of seating and had cool decorations, I think newspaper clippings or some articles lined the walls.

Overall, had a good experience and would definitely come back.“

“It took us a while to be able to snipe a reservation and I can certainly see why they need them for dine in. They do not have a lot of tables at all. The food and drinks are absolutely amazing. The service was attentive and prompt. Be careful though since they don't have a lot of tables they do rely on people respecting the allotted time for their reservations. I'd probably do to go more just because the food is so very good and I don't necessarily need a sit down experience. I can't wait for them to move to tower grove east because then they'll have more tables.“

“I suddenly realized that after eating at BLK almost once a week for years, I had never written a review for them. The quality of their salmon/tuna poke bowls and burritos are some of the best I've ever had, and compares favorably to poke places on the West Coast. The burrito is over-stuffed with deliciously fresh ingredients, with a variety of flavors. I did try other places in STL, but they often compensate for cheaper fish with excess sauce; this is not the case here as, even without adding sauce, the poke is delicious. The staff is always nice and makes you feel right at home!“

The ceremony was held on the covered patio space and the reception in the Luxe Room which is gorgeous! The homemade food was delicious and the staff were all so friendly and fun. We were able to borrow almost all of our decor from their closet which was an added bonus. We are so happy we chose Grbic!“

My husband looked at me like I was crazy when I read off dates but the slight sweetness against all of that savory is what made it!! We also tried the Fatty B, Meat me in St Louie, Magic Carpet Ride, and the Gyro. They were all amazing but the Gonzo and the Gyro were my favorites. The Magic Carpet Ride is also a must try if you're into mushrooms.“

She gave us enough time to settle in so we could make our choices. Rob had a Kona Wave draft, and I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Bailee brought us bread made, and baked on The Hill with great quality olive oil, and herbs for dipping. Rob ordered the lasagna, and I opted for the Tutti de Mare with seafood, garlic, butter, and olive oil. My dinner was delicious, and made with freshly made pasta, and a perfect mix of perfectly cooked wild caught seafood of mussels,shrimp, clams, and squid. Rob's lasagna also featured freshly made pasta sheets, Anthonino's red sauce, sausage, ricotta, and mozzarella cheese. I tasted it, and it's your pick here if you love lasagna. Homemade taste that brought me back to my grandmother's and my mother's tables. 🥰❤️ I also felt welcomed, and comfortable as soon as I walked through the door. “I am a repeat visitor. I keep returning because the selection of food is classic staples but made at a higher quality than what one would typically find at a brewpub. Many ingredients are locally sourced, some items are seasonally rotated in or out, and the food always pairs with beer of which they have several. The service has always been exceptional and without the condescension found at other places. The beer selection, which also has some rotating members, has a flavor for every pallet every season.“

“We came into Charlie Gitto’s on the Hill with no reservation, to celebrate my birthday. There was a short wait for seating but we got drinks and were checked on during our wait. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable with pairing drinks with food. The lobster ravioli and manicotti were delicious!! I look forward to going back in the future.“

A staple in Maplewood: the staff is friendly, the bar has some great offerings, and the food is delicious. I highly suggest making a second trip to try brunch - you can't go wrong with Eggs Bene-duck.“

“I’ve ignored this place over the decades, assuming it was a typical dive bar. A friend assured me the food was great and I should try it. Understatement! Believe it or not I’m a hypercritical person but I could find no fault at Michael’s. During both of my visits, everything everyone ordered was cooked and seasoned beautifully. So far I can highly recommend the Greek salad (standout among the large number of Greek salads I’ve tried), the rack of lamb and the galaktoboureko - a house-made dessert consisting mainly of a fluffy custard and phyllo dough. Even the side vegetables and rice were wonderful. The beer and wine selection was good as well and I wrote down my wine to look into buying a bottle. The many servers were extremely busy and professional and our server Amy did a helluva job. Large rack of lamb with sides, entree-sized Greek salad, two beers, wine and dessert for only $80 -which for the quality of our dinner was quite a bargain. Generic name belies quality cooking and serving! Pass it on!“
