“Food is great and served in reasonable time. The waitress could be more attentive to patrons seeing that the tip is added to the bill and paid before even receiving food. I asked for something and she forgot and brought it to the table 15 minutes later after I was almost done with meal. Had to ask for water, waitress only filled up my husband’s glass not mine and both were pretty much empty and I wasn’t even asked if I wanted more water. Hopefully this is read and improved on my return visit. It least it shows me how to tip next time 😏“

“This place was terrific!! We ate here yesterday and the food was wonderful. Friendly staff and even though there was a sign asking patrons to be patient with any delays due to limited staffing, it did not impact any aspect of our visit. I would strongly recommend giving this place your business and support locally owned establishments.“

“went there Saturday and was upstairs at the bar i think it was close to 6. well anyhow the bartender was awesome! food was really awesome. I think i had the st louis burger. I was telling people that was a 2 hand burger! was really full after eating that. even though u were real busy food was great and people were friendly!“

“Got the brisket with sweet potato fries and pickles. My friend got the ribs and corn. Both were good, very tender. The sauce was also really nice (I tried all four and we really liked the spicy one the most).

The lineup was long when we got there but it was pretty quick, I think we had a 20-30 minute wait so not too bad (I once waited for an hour at a different BBQ place).

Placed our orders and food came out pretty quickly. The staff was really nice and recommended the sides (was not disappointed).

The inside had plenty of seating and had cool decorations, I think newspaper clippings or some articles lined the walls.

Overall, had a good experience and would definitely come back.“

“It took us a while to be able to snipe a reservation and I can certainly see why they need them for dine in. They do not have a lot of tables at all. The food and drinks are absolutely amazing. The service was attentive and prompt. Be careful though since they don't have a lot of tables they do rely on people respecting the allotted time for their reservations. I'd probably do to go more just because the food is so very good and I don't necessarily need a sit down experience. I can't wait for them to move to tower grove east because then they'll have more tables.“

“Our wedding in February 2024 was a dream come true! Grbic helped make our day absolutely perfect. Leija was incredibly knowledgeable, easy to work with and quick to respond to all of our needs. The ceremony was held on the covered patio space and the reception in the Luxe Room which is gorgeous! The homemade food was delicious and the staff were all so friendly and fun. We were able to borrow almost all of our decor from their closet which was an added bonus. We are so happy we chose Grbic!“

“I have been wanting to get here for several years, and we finally made it, tonight, to Anthonino's Taverna, a short distance from Rob's place. (Fun fact, this place has been spotlighted twice on Guy Fieri's Food Channel Show. I can now see why. 🥰) Well, I wish I had made it here sooner. She gave us enough time to settle in so we could make our choices. Rob had a Kona Wave draft, and I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Bailee brought us bread made, and baked on The Hill with great quality olive oil, and herbs for dipping. Rob ordered the lasagna, and I opted for the Tutti de Mare with seafood, garlic, butter, and olive oil. My dinner was delicious, and made with freshly made pasta, and a perfect mix of perfectly cooked wild caught seafood of mussels,shrimp, clams, and squid. Rob's lasagna also featured freshly made pasta sheets, Anthonino's red sauce, sausage, ricotta, and mozzarella cheese. I tasted it, and it's your pick here if you love lasagna. Homemade taste that brought me back to my grandmother's and my mother's tables. 🥰❤️ I also felt welcomed, and comfortable as soon as I walked through the door. I also had the French martini which was delicious. I think if you have a taste for Italian food pasta, you couldn’t find a better place.“

A staple in Maplewood: the staff is friendly, the bar has some great offerings, and the food is delicious. Quick to respond to calls and emails. Gracious, and just wonderful altogether... and that's just the service. The food? The empty pans, told the story. Brisket, Turkey and Pork for meats. Mac & cheese, potato salad and beans for sides. EVERYTHING was amazing! I never right reviews, but Rico and staff deserve this one. If you're reading this, don't hesitate to give them a try. “I’ve ignored this place over the decades, assuming it was a typical dive bar. A friend assured me the food was great and I should try it. Understatement! Believe it or not I’m a hypercritical person but I could find no fault at Michael’s. During both of my visits, everything everyone ordered was cooked and seasoned beautifully. So far I can highly recommend the Greek salad (standout among the large number of Greek salads I’ve tried), the rack of lamb and the galaktoboureko - a house-made dessert consisting mainly of a fluffy custard and phyllo dough. Even the side vegetables and rice were wonderful. The beer and wine selection was good as well and I wrote down my wine to look into buying a bottle. The many servers were extremely busy and professional and our server Amy did a helluva job. Large rack of lamb with sides, entree-sized Greek salad, two beers, wine and dessert for only $80 -which for the quality of our dinner was quite a bargain. Generic name belies quality cooking and serving! Pass it on!“
