“Beautiful place and environment to celebrate special occasions. I've taken three people there to celebrate birthdays, and it's always a great experience and, indeed, special for the birthday celebrants. The owner makes the rounds and makes sure everything is to everyone's liking. The staff is attentive and friendly. Live music is a great plus and very enjoyable. A special candle is lit for special occasions and a rose and nice dessert is given to birthday celebrants. Definitely a lovely and memorable experience for all.“
“It's a neighborhood Italian deli and grocery store where we get all our fave Italian goods and grab a custom made deli sandwich for lunch or a quick dinner. Some of my faves are their spinach lasagna, minestrone soup, chicken noodle soup, Italian sausage, and cannolis. All their items are homemade. I also like getting a 10in turkey, ham & Swiss sub. It's build your own for $9.99 and it's so much better and fresher than Subway! Rubinos is pricey and sometimes you do have to wait in line a for long time at deli-meat counter to get your stuff but it is worth it. One downside is they started charging a fee for using a credit or debit card tho instead of cash. So bring cash if you want to avoid the fee. You can't get out of there without spending at least $100 it seems so be prepared...“
“Forgot to take pictures but this place was yum I had scallops hubby had halibut and the pizza so good I need to get more, everything was amazing, staff was very attentive, I cannot wait to go back, it's very bright and pretty inside with a lot of class“
“Went in for dinner with my daughters, and the ambiance was so friendly, being greeted when walking in. We did not have to wait long for a table for 5, we had the cod dinner, pizza, chicken tenders, and cheeseburger. The girls and I loved it. Can't believe we moved to Midlothian over a year ago and we just tried this place!! We sure have been missing out.“
“He started selling it a little cart outside of gas station in South Holland. Then he moved into the gas station. Denny open up his own business in South Holland. One of the best beef sandwiches I've ever had. The location and Thornton is nice. Very friendly very comfortable. I would recommend to anyone“
“The service was very nice and their food was really good. Tonight was the first night my family and I went there and they got sandwiches and I got chicken. From my experience the chicken was great and I knew the beef had to have been good because it smelled amazing. They cook the the food right in front of you so you won't have to worry about them doing something to the food. For six people to eat it was 70 dollars for everyone. I highly recommend you go here and eat.“
“second time coming to Ascione and now I can say this is one of my favorite Italian go to spots! food is delicious, staff are friendly and attentive and also very accommodating. only wish that I had leftovers to take home! lol. I will be back so thank you again, Ascione!“
“The best Saturday Lunch I’ve had … so calm , warm and it’s so awesome!!!I need to experience this restaurant at night… A SUMMER NIGHT!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️Vegetarian options: Salmon ? is the best!!!!Parking: It’s just perfect !!“
“My family had a 6:00pm reservation for 4 on Wed March 7. Half of the family had been there before but my son and I had not. Very attentive service, greeted warmly, and sat immediately. We all enjoyed a really delicious meal. Highly recommended!“
“A long established genuine Chicago pizza parlor! Everything they do is consistent and traditional. Great appetizers, even better Pizza. The Pizza we get is always thin and crispy. Sausage is of good quality, sauce is alittle sweet and balanced. I like this pizza. They must be doing something right. They've been around since 1955.“
“Best thin crust pizza I've ever had! This place is old school south side Chicago to the core. The decor is probably all the original and never been replaced and it fits perfectly here. You can belly up to the bar and get creme cocktails while you mingle with the locals. Worth the trip and can't wait to go back again.“
“Food is one of the best in the surrounding area. If you're looking for a hidden gem in Chicago, Stunods is definitely what you're looking for. From the cheeseburgers, to the breaded steak, there's something for everyone in this family owned business.“
“LoveLove love it!Whole family enjoy it.Grandma like it! OkSo.We love the original taste!I fully recommend this place.Service is great! The food came out just in time for all to enjoy.Dietary restrictions: Ask the Chef.Kid-friendliness: Got chair's.“
“We live in Central IL and have to travel 1.5+ hours to come to the Chicagoland area. Out of thousands of restaurants to choose from, Slice Factory is a MUST!Love the food, the friendly staff, and this location (Evergreen Park) is our favorite.“
“I love this place! They do happy hour on Fridays from 3-7 and drinks are half off. The atmosphere and music is great and there's no drama, all adults. The star of the show is the pizza though, omg it's so good.Parking: On Fridays the parking will be very difficult after 4 due to happy hour“
“Food was hot and delicious and arrived on time. Order was correct. Delivery driver followed instructions.Vegetarian options: You can get pizza with or without vegetable toppings, fries, fried zucchini, garlic bread, salad, mozzarella sticks, spaghetti“
“The food was good; the waitress was polite and attentive. The prices were okay. The restaurant is clean. The only thing I don't like, and it's not the restaurant's fault you have to pay for street parking. The business should complain to the alderperson about this.“
“Both the food and service here were excellent! We sat in the banquet hall and had a small range of food brought out. It was all very good. The sausage and potatoes were phenomenal, and the red sauce on the pasta was some of the best I've ever had. Would definitely revisit this restaurant.“
“Capri has quick friendly service. The wine pours and the food portions are generous so bring your appetite. You will probably be going home with a bag. The average price of a entrée is between $18 and $22. The parking is kind of limited but after a meal like this you may want to stretch your legs a bit anyway.“
“Really great lunch I had when I stopped in this deli! I enjoyed the Italian sub and the Italian sausage sandwich. Love these kind of places could really feel the community love this place and the staff was really friendly! Would spend so much money on this place if I lived in the area!“
“Came in an hour before close and was still welcomed by friendly staff. The atmosphere was amazing as well as the food. The best part that made our day was the best server I have seen in my life" ROCKY" her attitude and energy was so awesome as she totally made the whole experience on that day for us. Thanks Olive Garden and staff. Rocky needs a bonus tho. Can't just feel that kinda love at any place to sit and eat but you can here. Go check for yourself. This place gotcha. ?“
“Second time to this Italian restaurant, and right after they received a Bib Gourmand from Michelin! It is well deserved! I had them mix it up for me and ask them to make me their homemade black squid ink spaghetti with pesto and shrimp! Amazing food!!! My partner ordered the risotto and it was also delicious! Great location walking distance to Court theater; so park once and dine and enjoy theater! Friendly service but they tend to be busy so definitely some bustle and noise in the atmosphere. I made reservations and would recommend them. Looking forward to our return.“
“The pizza is really good! Moving forward I will not order anything else from here. Their mozzarella cheese is not good in their appetizers or the god mother sandwich. The sandwich felt like it was just a chicken tender in the bread with the mozzarella cheese.“
“JOE'S-A TRUE MOM+POP RESTAURANT! I am a purist when it comes to pizza. Cracker thin crust w/ mild homemade sauce + Italian sausage, top it w/ith a generous heap of mozzarella cheese, then cook it well done in an old school pizza oven. Walla - I present to you the most delicious thin crust pizza you will ever taste. Joe's Villa offers other fare but their pizza is my go to. And a large 14" pizza is under $20. If Reenie is your server, tell her Youraverage Gourmet says hello!“
“We had Valentines dinner there. My mostacolli with vodka sauce was amazing. My wife's cavatelli with bolognese was the best we have had, and we have been at lots of places. The house Chianti was pleasant, not biting and well worth the money. We live in the north shore but the drive was worth it. The pizza looked amazing - next time!“
“Best place to get some deep dish pizza. The service is always great here ,the wait is a whole 40 mins but your food is fresh and worth every bite. We got a couple appetizers this time and they were all yummy. The bruchetta was fresh and the drinks were strong.will be returning to this location really well kept.“
“So far I've had their bacon cheese fries and a slice of cheesecake. The fries are crispy cheese and bacon are good. Large gives you a good amount to share. I definitely like the crispy fries. It makes me wanna try other things they have.“
“Portions are very generous. Service is polite and professional. Food is good, lots of cheese and very delicious red sauce. It’s a loud place compared to many restaurants - It’s Italian food so expect that atmosphere, and to sit and converse with your party for 30-60 minutes before you even expect get your food, depending on how busy they are.Dishes average $25-40 and wine bottles are the same. There are a few outliers that are more or less expensive. They have a ground floor, but a smaller area upstairs with a beautiful chandelier at the top and a cute view of the outside street and neighborhood.Would recommend.“
“Went Saturday night for pizza. It's was amazing. The dough was homemade. Paper thin crust that is their specialty. The sauce is homemade. The cheese is rich. The place is run by a nice,hard-working Italian couple.Had a cold MillerLite. Doesn't get much better than this. PS The chicken parm is outstanding.“
“The food is delicious and there's a lot of it for the price, I have several favorite dishes and the staff always stays busy being friendly and never forgetting to ask if your good. Its "a place" for me and my wife to go to when we know we're going to have a great meal.“
“Always have fresh and delicious slices during lunchtime hours. Pepperoni is quite popular so I advise to call to see if they have slices available before going. They can make a pepperoni pizza for slices by the time you arrive (15 mins)Also their lunch buffet is back open for dine in.“
“A very good beef and sausage! Prices have increased $3 to $5 higher in the last two years. I doubt if they ever get lowered. Service is fast but no place to eat inside unless you want to stand at a counter. Outside seating is available but only 4 tables. It is purely takeout place. For a family of 4 your going to spend $45 to 50 for 4 regular beefs and 2 large fries.“
“I have been coming to Palermo's for 30 years. The food is always good. Large portion sizes. I had my wedding reception there and would recommend it to anyone. The Sicilian Style Grill Shrimp is the best dish. It has a unique flavor.“
“I ordered a John's sausage pizza for pick up. The pizza was ready for me when I arrived. John's offers a unique pizza cut. The sausage was crumbly, spicy and generously topped on the pizza. The pizza crust was amazing.I grew up on John's pizza when I lived in the Calumet region. My family usually visited other locations....Hammond and Calumet City. It's probably been 15 years since I last had John's. I picked up the pizza pictured and it was the same quality as the pizza I grew up on. Munster's John's did not dissappoint. I would recommend John's to family and friends. I'll visit this location again the next time I'm in town. John's is a gem in the Calumet Region.“
“Tried displace for the first time. The pizza was delicious. Had the sausage and pepperoni. Plenty of toppings! The sauce was perfect. It’s now become my favorite pizza place.!! They have so much to choose from! I’m going back to try some of the other menu items! The owner was there that evening very nice and friendly!“
“UPDATE! Went back to the new version of our long-time favorite. We had an Eggplant Parm dinner and the Cheese Raviloi w/meat sauce, and both were as fantastic as always! My compliments to maintaining the quality that has made Villa Rosa an institution in the Midway area.“
“Stopped in just to get a beer after cemetery, and we ended up having a great time friendly environment, and ladies, this is a place where you can go alone with your girls and not worry and have great safe time..... We definitely will be going “
“This is probably one of the best places to eat in this area. Our server was very friendly and I even struck up a very nice conversation with her, not order related. My brother and Father had the pizza, and they say it was really delicious. The cheese was very stringy and stretchy. I had the ravioli and it was incredible. You could tell it was delicious because they did not skimp out on the filling. Yummers. ?The only issue for me was that the wait was kinda long, and the pizza was pretty good. So kind of worth it. The atmosphere was very pleasant but the location itself left something to be desired. Overall, delicious in multiple ways. Highly recommend.“
“Their Chicago style pizza is beyond delicious! 3 different styles, many ingredient combinations. Salad is good. Dessert is outstanding. Clean friendly upbeat environment, great greeters and servers. Nice bar area. Reasonable prices. No skimping on ingredients! Plenty of table, booth and bar seating with many TV's. Went there for my Birthday...that's how much I love that place. Convenient location, clean bathrooms. Did I mention great pizza?“
“Food was delicious. Hot when it was received. Didn't have to wait long. Place was very clean and kept up.Kid-friendliness: Everyone there very friendly and helpful.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, it is easy to enter and exit the building.“
“First time trying them & I ordered a Jim shoe bc I never had one & after I got done eating I said “ what’s a Philly ? What’s a gyro? ?” I WANT A JIM SHOE ALL THE TIME NOW & NO MY BACK NOT BIG BUT IT WILL BE (u have to ask for peppers and pay extra only reason I’m giving 4 stars) (I GOT MINES DIPPED IN ITILIAN BEEF JUICE)“
“My sister circle celebrated our Christmas meal here. Excellent service, food and atmosphere. Kudos!Vegetarian options: I had the stuffed eggplant ? with risotto and spinach. Delicious.Parking: Plenty of free parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessibility ramp in the back.“
“Totally went above and beyond to help me out with a dietary restriction in my family never had a bad meal or bad serviceDietary restrictions: Went through the sodium levels with me and when I dine or take out they keep the fish away from my food very caring people“
“This is old school pizza. It’s very good. This is the type of place where you can throw the kids at one table with a pitcher of pop and a pizza while the adults drink pitchers of beer at another table. I miss old family restaurants like this.“
“I decided to check this place out being that it's close. They have more options than just regular sausage, like chicken sausage and turkey sausage which is different. On to the pizza which was cooked to perfection (I requested them to brown the cheese or make it well done). Crust was good, sauce was tasty, and I really enjoyed the chicken sausage. The owner was very friendly and puts out a good product.“
“Beef is well seasoned and very tender. The hand cut fries are perfectly cooked although could use just a dash of salt. The cheddar cheese fries were delicious and definitely can be eaten as a meal or certainly enough to be shared by 2 or 3 people.Always a good meal!“
“Daughter and I were visiting Illinois and craved Italian beef. This place didn't disappoint us. We also tried Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Turkey Hoagie. What can I say we were on a road trip ?Try and I believe you will enjoy their customer service and food.I will return during our next trip to Illinois.Parking: The Hoagie Place is sandwiched with other businesses and they all share the same parking lot which makes for difficult parking .“
“Wow we just ordered from the one 147th street. We ordered the lasagna and parmigiana chicken fried raviolis chicken tenders tiramisu donuts bites cheese cake. Everything was delish. The driver was such a nice guy. Definitely ordering again. Everyone loved the food and still are talking about how good it was. I have never met a nicer delivery guy in my life. Everyone must try the food. Outstanding!“
“I enjoyed the beef polish. The steak burrito didn't have much flavor. The steak tasted greasy. I've had the same experience with the steak tacos. Not a fan of the fries but as a fry lover, I still ate them. Lol U can get a meal for a reasonable price.“
