“My first time here. I had the chicken empanada and 2 of the corned beef roll and a large ube matcha latte. I asked them warm of these items for me since I was here during my lunch time. And the lady was so nice and was more than happy to heat them up. The empanada was the most perfect empanada I’ve had in a long time. The crust was o flaky and buttery! The corned beef roll was perfect, just enough filling. And of course the ube matcha latte was perfect. Ambiance is great! I highly recommend LASA! ❤️“

“Great location that is in a Pilot Travel Center.Taste just like a typical mall location and is worth it to venture out since Cinnabons are hard to come by nowadays. Same smells, taste as well as friendly. With many options of small buns, mini popcorn like buns as wel as the classic sized Cinnabon that taste just like it should.Highly recommend!“

The best thing is that they do have a lot of savoury options as well.

We tried their Almond Croissant which was okayish, Feta Spinach Quiche was really good and loved their Mango Cream Bun.

The Coffee was good as well.

The place is clean and the service is very warm.

“I was waiting for my cookies when I observed a worker who was rolling dough. She stepped away from the dough table, and went on her personal phone, then immediately went back to touching the dough. Wearing the same pair of gloves the entire time. I made a comment that she should probably switch gloves if she is going to touch her personal phone and then peoples food. Just wanted to be sure it doesn’t happen again. That’s gross.“

“The absolute best breakfast skillets in the NW suburbs in my opinion. Large,open family appropriate atmosphere. The food portions are very generous and delicious. Staff has always been very friendly and efficient. I always leave feeling quite satisfied and carrying a take out container for another full meal the next day. I’ve also gone to the Saint Charles location where the menu has a few variations but the same great food and service.“

“I had wanted to visit for awhile as it the name is inviting in a world of burger places.
It has stunning bakery items and sweets!
We went for lunch and hopefully a handmade, fresh sandwich. That was not what we found.
We looked at their menu board and didn't see sandwiches at all. When we asked they pointed to a wall display cooler and said they could microwave any sandwich to warm it up😕
Not what we had in mind.
Sandwiches were ok, but I would not be coming back for lunch. Sweets, definitely 😁“

My partner chose gelato, but he was torn between a snack and their hot food items (which sounded very interesting to try)!!! Juliana had the heated patio nice and inviting, and she had great energy. We felt welcomed and eager to plan our next visit!! Five-star for sure!!“

“Placed an order for a firefighting themed cake for my brother with such a short notice through Miri Cakes but they still were able to accommodate me! Service at Miri Cakes was beyond wonderful. The chocolate fudge flavor in the cake was phenomenal and super delicious 😋 I was supposed to pick up the cake at a certain time but plans got rearranged so I needed it 2 hours earlier then scheduled time and they STILL made it happen! Definitely will be recommending this place to lots of friends/family. Think this might be my new go to spot for custom cakes!“

I'm still very impressed with how responsive the owner, Norma, was to my emails and appreciate how thoughtful she was. She asked if I wanted to include a personal message to my sisters and brother-in-law, and I found out today that all of them really enjoyed the cupcakes. I can only imagine how hard it must be for small businesses like this one during these unprecedented times, but I'm glad that I was able to surprise my sisters and support them at the same time. I’ve been eating conchas since I was a little girl, I’ve moved around my whole life and lived in another state, this panadería by far has the best conchas and my Hispanic family agrees. They are so soft and stay soft for days. No stale concha here! The conchas are smaller, but it makes the bread to sugar topping ratio perfect! No they don’t have tongs, but they have gloves and it’s not that serious. I think it’s very affordable, but if some might feel it’s more expensive, let me say, that for the quality it’s worth it. The pan is always fresh and the staff are always friendly. They do have marranitos, but they sell out fast and by the way they’re also delicious!“

“Great place. The first driveway is where shipping/receiving is at, but if you want to park overnight take the second driveway and go up on the hill past the employee parking. 30 minute unloading and nice people. I posted a picture of where I spent the night.“
