“This is my ALL TIME favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Although it is small, that doesn't bother me. I think it's very comfortable. Their food is delicious, I recommend the street tacos that come with SUPER spicy tomatillo salsa. I love the El Jalisco special as well!“

“Blend is a wonderful Carbondale establishment, locally owned and operated! The drinks and crepes are delicious and fairly priced. Downsides of the resturant is seating which is mostly uncomfortable plastic chairs and falling apart leather ones, and parking where there are very few spaces. Other than that I highly recommend going!“

“We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at Mary’s last night. The food and service were both impeccable. The night was made even more special with the attention to detail given to the special occasion. Our table had beautiful fresh flowers along with a kind handwritten note. We were presented with a photo as well. Thank you so much for the beautiful evening. We will be back!“

“This is one of our favorite restaurants! The food is phenomenal and the customer service is even better! We are always greeted warmly and the owners always remember how much our son loves their naan! Our favorite is the tikka masala, but we are always excited to try the other selections on the buffet.“

“I've been enjoying Pag's pizza since 1978. The other mainstay place in town is mighty fine, but the thin crisp crust from a real brick oven really does it for me.Kid-friendliness: Like any family pizza joint. Ask for little balls of dough to play with.Wheelchair accessibility: It's a flat entry at sidewalk level and there's lots of room around tables.“

“Very much a friendly small town restaurant with a good sized menu reminiscent of southern blue plate. Special meat in three restaurants with things like barbecue, chicken and dumplings, daily specials, pies of the day. Very friendly and accommodating weight staff, caters to local clientele. Great and quick drive-thru as well for all of their menu items. I highly recommend it. Seating area is not large but adequate.Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly!“

“Primo's is an independent pizza shop in Carbondale, Illinois. I prefer their thin crust "tavern style " pizza. Their original crust slices are tasty, but often, the cheese slides off the slice. As a person who grew up in NYC, I like a foldable slice. If the crust on the original crust slices were a little crisper, that pizza would be excellent. They do sell single slices at lunchtime, which is not common in town.“

“Went with my family for supper tonight, was seated right away food was great. The reason for the 4 star review was the service. I ordered the country fried steak, it came with eggs hash browns and my choice of bread. I told my waitress I wanted biscuits and ask for butter. Then I added a order of biscuits and gravy also. when our food arrived I noticed the waitress had forgotten my biscuits that came with my country fried steak dinner. I was told they gave me biscuits with my gravy, when I asked about my biscuits n butter that came with my meal, I was told they put the biscuits with my gravy and only charged me for a bowl of gravy. When I ask why when I ask for biscuits and butter because it came with my meal (I wanted it for my eggs) I was told again She had giving me 2 biscuits. the waitress then held up 4 fingers and said you want 4 biscuits?? I said I want what came with my meal. Then again she held up 4 fingers and said if you want 4 biscuits I can bring you 4 biscuits at that point I was just fed up with the conversation and asked if I could please get some butter. The butter was cold and was not spreadable lol The entire time we were there we were not offered a refill on our drinks, two of our party of 4 finished half of there meal with no drinks. The food was really good just was really disappointed in the service.“

“I really like the pizza. I could eat it for every meal. But the customer experience here is often not great. My spouse recently went to pick up a pizza we'd ordered over the phone. He waited in the parking lot for 20 minutes, knowing that's how long it takes to make the pizza, before heading into the drive through. When he arrived at the drive through window, they told him just a minute, then proceeded to ignore him as he tried to get anyone's attention for another 20 minutes. My pizza was cold and my spouse was pissed. I should have asked for a refund. A drive-through is supposed to be there to make the dining experience faster and more convenient. Don't have one if you're going to blow off your customers. Also, they have a $4 upcharge for salads if you want to take them to go, which is genuinely insane. When I've asked about this I was told it's because people were overfilling salads from the salad bar when taking out... which... if people are taking too much salad, just give them a smaller container?? I could understand a 50¢ upcharge, sure, but $4?? That's egregious.“

“The location is rual but not far from Carbondale IL, home of Southern Illinois University. It's a winery adjacent to a Walker's Bluff Casino and hotel. It's a nice casual place with pub food as well as more expensive meals. The atmosphere leans more toward a pub venue. The food prices are reasonable, as are the wines. The tasting is $5 for 5 tastings. We had a nice time.“
