“They have super good Japanese sea urchin that I’ve never had before, they even offer a unique way to serve it. Which I have tried the uni shooter with quail egg and it’s soo good! Their toro sushi is super worth it compared to the ones in the city and super high quality. Definitely recommend it!“

“This BYOB sushi spot is awesome, very modest, super fast service with affordable prices for all the artists out here! The sushi has more filling than just a ton of rice packed around it & the miso soup is stellar. They provide complimentary cucumber water which is super refreshing in the summertime. I came here during prime time Saturday evening and it was VERY chill. If you’re in Bridgeport I highly recommend! I love supporting businesses that value both good food & good service. I will be back for sure!“

“Cute sushi restaurant! This is a small restaurant, about 5 tables. The atmosphere is very casual. We had three different sushi rolls. All of them were good. The service was great! Super friendly and helpful staff. Cute desserts! Clean and quiet place.“

“I have been coming here for years and Ruma Izakaya remains my favorite Japanese spot in the area. From the sushi to the entree’s, sides, incredible miso soup, and smoothies, Runa Izakaya wins my heart and my stomach over every time! “This was our first time visiting, and my friend and I were looking for a quick bite after a stressful week. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, and the staff were really helpful. We asked for recommendations, and they offered several options. We went with their suggestions, and everything we tried was delicious! Some of the dishes were new to us, and I genuinely enjoyed everything. We had fun, and the food and drinks made for a really satisfying visit.“

“On 4/1/2026 i visited Sakura, i quickly found out it is a HIDDEN GEM! I had the hibachi combnation noodles and for $17.89 you get A MEAL they cooked the steak,chicken and shrimp to perfection! Full of zuccini, carrots mushrooms and seasoned& sauced perfectly. They just got themselves a lifetime customer!!!“

“Stopped in today for lunch, had a sushi roll and the Kinya Ramen Bowl. Both were excellent, would definitely recommend. Was a bit confused on the exterior as this restaurant is also still operating as a Hook and Reel seafood. Excited to not have to go to the city for good ramen!“

“On Thursday, 5/30, my wife and I had dinner at the restaurant. Our favorite server, Rita, was assisting us. During our meal, we witnessed a front desk employee yelling at Rita and slamming his hands on the table, causing a significant disturbance that was noticeable to many patrons. Despite this unprofessional behavior, Rita maintained her composure and continued to provide exceptional service. Her professionalism and dedication to her customers were commendable. We will definitely return, thanks to Rita's outstanding service.“

“Our Friendship Luncheon group had 30 people at its January gathering there yesterday. They only had 1 waiter taking orders, so it was 4 diners at a time. Food came quickly after ordering, but last table had ordered 30 minutes after the first.“

“The best I I would make a recommendation for anybody to go out there I love the fresh bowls you pick veggies protein add seasoning and they cook it on the grill and it's unlimited.. they have a great menu a lot of parking I love this place“
