“Great place to visit. Very comfortable surroundings. Great get away place to think during the early evenings. My favorite time to visit is around 11:00-5:00pm. I listen to great music have a beer or two and play the slot machines. At times win big!!! Victoria's has all types of music, in- expensive drinks, ales and spirits. Fabulous owners and friendly regulars. Private Parties in doors and out doors. You will be glad you stopped by.“

The space is way bigger than you think, with massive TVs that are a dream for sports lovers, plus a menu with something for every diet. We even asked to watch a specific men's basketball game, and the team had no problem putting it on one of the large projector screens...top-tier hospitality. Our server was attentive and fun, and the complimentary shots for our group were a highlight. I already love watching Bears and Bulls games at The Staley, so I knew it was the right spot for the vibe I wanted. Thank you to the team, I'll always find my way back to The Staley.“

“I love this American restaurant, the food is delicious, satisfying and enjoyable. I especially love the burgers and fries, they are freshly made and very authentic. “Great service good food the games were too loud we tried sitting in the corner because we went here to talk and catch up but we were told we had to sit in the crowded area so they could fit more people. would have been okay if the TV wasnt blaring right by us and the group next to us were SCREAMING for the sports.

“i’m writing this review as i’m still sitting in the booth because it was just THAT good.

i ordered the french onion burger with the regular fries on the side, and let me tell you i haven’t had a burger check every box like this one. the garlic aioli was the perfect amount of flavor to complement the caramelized onions. the bun was seemingly buttered and fluffy. and the fries!! they had a flakey salt with not one fry left unsalted. they were also thin and crispy to perfection.

the service was great and every staff member was always smiling. i never write reviews but this one felt very necessary. 5 stars from me!“

I started going there when the owner became a client of the company I was working for in the mid-90s, setting up cash registers in the restaurant he opened for his nephew. I no longer live in Chicago, but make it a point to stop there and speak with the owner every chance I get. Always great food and exceptional service! You may have to wait in line, though. Understandably, it's a very popular place!“

The host on the other hand, told my sister that we had to move to a different seating because the seat we was sitting at originally is for more than two people. So we moved to a different seat. Two caucasian lady come in and sit at the same table we moved from and nothing at all was said to them. We later was told that we can seat ourselves, which makes this situation even more confusing. “My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with a trip to the city and selected this restaurant for dinner before a show. We were intrigued by the unique menu - in fact, I think we ordered one of everything on that menu. To say we were BLOWN AWAY by the experience is an understatement! The food was SO good, we’re considering driving the three hours back for dinner this week! The service was also excellent - with the greeter/seater friendly welcoming us, our server(s) were attentive and helpful, and even a manager stopped by our table to ensure we were pleased! We can’t wait to come back! Oh, order the pull-apart rolls. Holy cow.“

“We went in after a miserable day. We were weary and super hungry. The Pony was just the right medicine. Big kudos to our bartender who took great care of us. I had two Anti Heroes-there was a sheen of ice on the top of the beer which is just exactly how beer should be served. Our waffle fries nachos plate was huge. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and tater tots which was equally delicious. We went in around 5pm which is why I gave only four stars for atmosphere there weren't many people around. “I really wish I could give them a better rating but they for some reason decided to give my friends and I the run around. 1st of all, they sent me an email to spend my birthday there. I could invite guests, I would get a 1 hour open bar, my friends get $1 off drinks, birthday cupcakes and a $25 gift card. Also free tickets to a show and 1 for 2 for friends. We show up, they told me they knew all about my birthday and the show. We arrived about 45 minutes before the show to enjoy the drinks. When we are sat I am given 3 tickets. I was told these are for my drinks and to give them when ordering. I ask if it's only 3 and he said it was just 3 to start with and could get more. So we are sitting, having a good time. I used all 3 drink tickets in about 40 minutes (it's my bday and an open bar! Duh!) When we get moved over to the show, our new waiter said that I only get 3. So I went to our old one and let him know what he said, he told me he would check on it. He never did, even when I went up to ask again. When I went back to the show area, I talked to someone who looked like the manager (who I now believe is the owner Brian) about needing another drink and he said, "well we give 3 tickets because that's how much people usually drink in an hour". I said "okay, I get that. But I've had 3 and the hour isn't over, I have 20 minutes." And he said he would allow me to only have 1 more.... I'm sorry, but that is not an open bar. You shouldn't advertise an open bar if you're only allowed to have 3. Fix your advertisement. When we finished up the fabulous show, we noticed 2 drinks on our bill that were not ours. We went to our waiter and told him those were not our drinks. He got snippy with us saying, "well they were on your bill, I don't know what you guys ordered up front". And we told him we weren't accusing him of anything. It's possible up front someone's drinks were accidentally added, it's fine. We just want them off our bill. And so he and the owner for some reason debated over this for 5 minutes as we waited. We went over every drink we had and none of us ordered a captain and coke. They finally, begrudgingly, took it off. We paid, and we left. It wasn't until a day or 2 later I realized we never got the cupcakes or the $25 gift card. I emailed the woman, Cheryl Snodgrass, who I was in contact with about the planning about it and she was disappointed because she said they knew about me coming in and she would check. She finally got back to me and told me that when I was there, I asked the owner to use my $25 gift card for my bill. Ummmm....what??? No, I paid full price for my extra drinks and my food. That never happened. She also commented "you may not remember, which means you were having a really good time!!!" I'm sorry, now you're accusing be of being drunk so I'm not remembering? I had 3 other people with me and all of them remember the experience and not once did I even bring up the $25 gift card! I completely forgot about it until I emailed. I replied to her email letting her know that was not true, and to please get back to me and she has now ignored 3 of my emails. I'm not sure what the problem is...maybe they didn't like that I called them out on their open bar NOT being an open bar? The fact that we didn't want to pay for 2 drinks we didn't order? I'm sorry, but this is NOT how you treat a customer for a birthday event that you would want them to tell friends and come back for. It's really a shame because the shows are great, but there's no way I'm coming back after the crap they pulled. Keep the $25 gift card. Shady management is a bad look. Brian and Cheryl get an F.“

“Nice place close to the UC but don’t be deceived by the “smash burger” on their menu. First off…nowhere near a smash burger. Party was thick and had zero sear to it. Honestly it looked unappetizing. Also the meat had zero seasoning. It tasted just like you were eating playing ground beef. Even with all the toppings on it. And before anyone asks, it was not busy yet. Started getting busy after we receive our food. 3 in our party got the same thing and they all agreed…possibly one of the worst burgers we ever ordered. Others in our party ordered other things and they said they were good. But if I was asked to smash or pass on the smash burger it’s a hard pass.“
