“This is a hidden gem in a strip mall off the beaten path. Very fresh fish, excellent friendly service, and a good value for money. We always get the all-you-can-eat special, and like to try new items. Unlike some kinds of AYCE restaurants, Sakura Nami doesn't put stuff out on a buffet table or make the rolls 99% rice and 1% fish. It's the same as if you ordered a la carte. Creative rolls, plenty of variety. Haven't had a bad one yet!Vegetarian options: Sweet potato roll, tempura veggies, seaweed and regular salad“
“The beef tatami was excellent, lamb chops & calamari were good, yellowtail was ok...rice pot didn't have much flavorSteve, server had excellent interaction. Support staff was ok...plate change didn't happen unless we requested and was very slow, table never got manicured throughout$300 spend on party of 2“
“First time going here and I couldn't be more impressed, the restraunt is very clean and the staff are nice. The food is fresh and very good. Got the salmon obsession sushi burrito and it was very good! Can't wait to try their other dishes.“

Whether you’re a sushi connoisseur or a novice, the variety caters to all palates, promising something delectable for everyone. The service at Chef Soon is exemplary, especially Grace The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sushi, eager to guide you through the menu and ensure your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. Their dedication to customer satisfaction truly sets them apart.Ask for Grace!!!“
“Visited this place with a friend a few times in the past, one of the best Asian restaurants in the area. You can tell the eggrolls are fresh when you can taste the ingredients instead of grease, and the sweet and sour sauce (ask for home made, not packet)- I'd say both are fantastic.Never had a single bad meal here, food is fast, staff efficient and courteous, and you get a large amount of food for the price. While it *can* get more expensive, sharing meals cuts down on the cost, and the food IS worth it.Only complaint is parking is iffy, but between Johnnie's beef and the other lots you'll likely find something nearby...pulls you out of the experience abit, but the food is worth it.“
“Hamds-down my absolute favorite sushi restaurant in the western suburbs of Chicago. The Asian Tacos and Crazy Jalapeño are a must for starters and I've yet to have a specialty roll I didn't love, to include a few off-menu rolls. Be sure to ask your server about those. Speaking of the staff, very friendly and equally attentive. The speed of service is also above par. Nabuki is certainly a spot worth visiting the next time you're in Hinsdale.“
“My first time there and was so impressed. Very low-key chill vibe which was great for my friends and I to catch up. My friend had the roasted garlic miso ramen which looked incredible and he loved it. The Latin Bliss roll was plated so beautifully I nearly took a picture. Everyone loved their food and their desserts were just as good (and nice to look at). The service was surprisingly fast and everyone was really friendly.Parking: There is a nearby lot for that row of restaurants but when we went it was packed and I couldn't see how you access it. The opening off of North Blvd is exit only. Street parking is a little touch-and-go in that area. I did find something but had to come back around.“
“Food was amazing. I can not say enough about their sushi. The customer service was under impressive. There is a way to talk to people and that is not how we were spoken to. I would take rude service to each their amazing sushi, so it will not stop me from going back.“
“We tried BNK for the first time last night, and could not have been happier! The mini crab & veggie spring rolls were delicious (we fought over the last ones) and the Spicy Peanut Sauce dish with chicken was so good I licked the plate :)“
“Our family loves coming to this place. Great service all the time; they always make it feel more personable as if you were their family.Everything on the menu is a must. Their Godzilla and Chicago Fire Sushi rolls are the best.Miso and Hot and sour soups hot the spot on cold days and the saki give you that kick if you're looking spice.Overall great hidden gem in LaGrange.“
“While it's a wee little place that often isn't crowded, the staff is on the ball and the food is better than you might expect. They do a serious take out business for a reason and their prices are reasonable especially for the fresh food.“
“Tucked away in Danada TownSquare is Sushi Ukai. It’s a little unassuming, but it’s a standout of a sushi and Japanese dining experience. To be fair, we just had the edamami and sushi for lunch. All of it, delicious. The sushi was amazing actually. You can tell someone knows what they’re doing with flavors and composing rolls.Pro tip: go with the dry sake to share with your sushi.Sushi Ukai was great. That kitchen is putting out some flavor. And the added art work on our plate was over the top, but in a very good way. I loved the fence and art display that held together with Wasabi. That added a whole layer to our time that was all about them just wanting us to have a good time. Thanks.10/10 recommendDietary restrictions: Have have gluten-free options“
“I'm delighted with this place, I was passing by and stopped in for dinner. Very tasty rolls names “Best west “ and sushi eel and salmon, the fish is very fresh. I would definitely come back here, price plus quality, decent friendly staff, and plus it’s very tasty. cozy atmosphere, music playing ♥️ ?“
“This is a great price for the all you can eat. The rolls were delicious and the fried rice was the best fried rice I’ve ever had. I love that the appetizers and soup and salad are included in the all you can eat. I’m glad we came out it was so good I’ll definitely be back.“
“The food was really great, huge portions for a good price. We did have to wait a while even though we had a reservation. It felt a little chaotic, but we did have 12 in our party, so probably that was the reason. They are super busy, give them a lot of credit handling so many in a small space. I do plan to go back, maybe takeout, though.“
“I want to give an excellent review of the restaurant. The sushi menu is on another level. I have eaten at different sushi restaurants, even with native Asian owners, and I think this restaurant exceeds all my expectations. Every time I go, I try a new dish, and I am satisfied with my choice. The service is unique, and the atmosphere is calm, relaxed, and welcoming. a 10/10.“
“We went there last night and got a take out order. I love Chinese food. This food is the best ! The staff is very friendly and polite . The food is so good that this is My go to restaurant when I’m in Elmhurst from now on. I am very delighted that we stopped in .“
“Stopped in with our 1 year old for sushi and everything was great!! Super fast service and family friendly. After leaving to get in our car, we found out that our car died, and the restaurant owner helped us jump our car! Above and beyond service. Thank you!“
“Every single thing we ordered was delicious and nothing was left uneaten! From the crab Rangoon, to the chicken friend rice and all 6 sushi rolls- it was delicious! A great atmosphere from the moment you arrived. Love the warm towels and nice chopsticks! Definitely recommend and kid friendly for how nice it is!“
“Absolutely out of his ?! Best Sushi I've ever had... The service is absolutely wonderfu!!!. This restaurant has a very homey vibe and the staff is very welcoming. They have the Christmas spirit, well decorated and I can't hardly wait to come back! A+++++Kid-friendliness: Super patient with my 6yr old daughter with tons of curious questions. I can't speak enough about the outstanding service and welcoming atmosphere!“
“I love this restaurant! The sushi and other menu items are always tasty and good quality. The staff is nice and very helpful for first timers. The meal can get expensive really fast as they charge by the plate, so come prepared for that. The only downside is that it can be exceptionally loud , especially when they are busy as it is a small space and there a lot of people in it. The kura bots are cute but play a loud song to let you know they are coming or near, as a safety thing.“
“I've been going to sushi nest for years, this place is still amazing, ordered to go recently so that's where the picture is from, BUT EVEN TO GO IT WAS SO GOOD, definitely prepared with love, thank you guys!Top left is forest roll, under it is the red dragon, the one with the small leafy garnish is called four seasons, below that the Godzilla, below that the king crab roll, and we ordered a sashimi dinner on the side as well with the edamame“
“OMG best little place in carol steam, I'm here Sunday night no one is here and I am wondering why, I had a drink called sunshine, it's pineapple, orange, strawberry juices is delicious. I had crab legs, corn, potato, eggs, salad came with meal, the dressing on salad was very different but soft and delicate, the crab was very clean, sweet and plenty. ordered the cajin house, mild still had a kick of spice but perfect. If I could give this place a 10 star it would get an 11. Fabulous delightful very quiet, server's was not a pest, but cleaned up right away. I still don't know why it's not packed. This is a must go to if your in carol stream IllinoisParking: Plenty of pull in spotsKid-friendliness: Tv, kids menue“
“Jeremy was our server and he was amazing!!! He had great energy and he checked in on us often. The food was great! We had several apps and they were all good. We filled up and took most of our meals to go. I would recommend going and ask to sit in Jeremy’s section.Kid-friendliness: Loved the kids menu, tons of options and served on a cute plate with an animal shaped fruit.“
“Nice entryway. I was greeted immediately upon walking in & seated right away. The waitress (Annie) was nice and prompt. The restaurant was clean.I ordered the Alaskan Roll with Miso Soup & Edamame. I ordered shrimp fried rice to go. Everything was fresh and came out quickly. The rolls were thick and meaty. The meal was accompanied by wasabi, soy sauce and chop sticks. However, the sushi doesn't need sauce or any additional items. It was delicious. The fried rice is some of the best I've tasted.Parking: Free, but limited parking on the street.“
“Great sushi and gyoza dumplings. We got the shrimp tempura roll, Blackhawk roll, and sweetheart roll. All delicious. Very clean restaurant with nice, lounge-like decor. Very nice staff as well. Was not crowded on a Friday night but lots of takeout orders. We went later at night but I can imagine this place gets crowded at peak times.“
“First time here and it was amazing! 4 adults and one baby, seated right away. Service was top notch, super friendly. Food was really fresh and soooo good, better than we expected for an all-you-can-eat meal! Lots of options on the all-you-can-eat menu, too. Sushi, Mochi dessert, salad, and apps were all excellent. We will absolutely be back!“
“Dropped by this one for an early weekend lunch and overall the food was quite good. I did the chicken katsu/cutlet served with a side if white rice and some steamed veggies. Very nice and crispy outside and juicy on the inside. Also shared one of their specialty rolls and took a few bites a chirashi bowl. I have to mention that the fish here is much fresher and better quality than some of the surrounding sushi spots. Being the first customers in, the service was good so no issue or complaints there. Ambiance quiet. It's a pretty small spot with just a few tables and a sushi bar. Will definitely consider this spot then next time I craving some quality sushi. 'Til next time, cheers!“
“We came here for my sister’s birthday and had a blast. The staff was welcoming and our chef was so funny and entertaining. I think this is the most fun I’ve had at a dinner in years. The food was also phenomenal and serving sizes were very generous. I ordered scallops hibachi and sushi. The sushi tasted fresh, and the scallops were buttery soft! I can’t wait to come back again“
“In the heart of Glen Ellyn, IL, there's a culinary treasure that's been consistently serving up satisfaction for at least eight years, and I've been a loyal patron through it all. Hokkai Sushi, a name synonymous with quality and delectable Japanese cuisine, has been my go-to spot for the best shrimp fried rice one could ever hope to find. From the moment you step into Hokkai Sushi, the inviting ambiance and the promise of an exceptional dining experience draw you in. Their all-you-can-eat lunch and dinner menu is not only a testament to their generosity but also a showcase of their extensive culinary skills. Every dish is prepared with care, aiming to please the palate of each guest that walks through their doors. The standout, however, has always been their shrimp fried rice. This dish alone is worth the trip, offering a perfect balance of flavors that leaves you craving more before you've even finished. It's a masterpiece of simplicity and taste, making it clear why this establishment has earned its place in the hearts of many, including mine. For anyone in the Glen Ellyn area or those planning a visit, Hokkai Sushi is a must-try. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or someone who appreciates the finer points of a well-executed fried rice, this place will not disappoint. It's not just a meal; it's an experience that keeps you coming back for more.“
“Me and wife went for dinner, we're Sushi lovers and we ordered 4 specialty sushi rolls, plus the agadashi tofu. They were delicious, I can't say the best, but there tasty. I would definitely recommend the place.Service was great, no complaints about it.The atmosphere was ok, we could talk over dinner and enjoy ourselves, not like other loud places.Place wasn't crowded even on a Friday. So we were sitted right away.I can't say this will be my new favorite sushi place, but I will definitely come back eventually.“
“I love Wasabi as it is always neat and clean, the restaurant and the atmosphere is hospitable. I mostly order delivery but their service is top notch and always timely and the food is excellent everytime. I recommend to anyone who wants to try this kind of food to try Wasabi first and i promise you'll be delighted as i always am.“
