“This place is shabby as hell!!! Every time we eat here, the food is awful. Thrown together and either microwaved too much or cold. Please get better staff and make sure your food is on point. Your location is in Steger/Crete. Step it up a bit and stop serving shabby food because prices are high and pretty soon no one will be able to afford to go out and eat!!“

“A childhood memory in Chicago! I brought my husband to experience Gayetys. The charm when we walked in and then the SMELL OF YUMMY CHOCOLATE was a Zen moment!!! We toured the counters then dived into purchases! We had no time for ice cream but we will be back. We did have a piece of chocolate each at home ohhhhh yum. I had the taffy apple for dessert it was like no other. This is a must to visit.“

They have different stuff every week.So, check the menu for the week.Then choose what you want.And you before you go there or you can go there and just look at it because they have samples sitting out you don't , you can't stand on there just there for you to see what they look like“

“It is easy. You get in and out with high quality desserts, but just a little small for when there is a decent amount of people there.

Parking: There were plenty of parking spots open, so you are able to park right next to the store.“

“I really love Dairy Bell, so I hate to leave this review, but my visit today was a little disappointing. I ordered a hot fudge brownie delight and didn’t realize it came with nuts. When I mentioned it at the window, I wasn’t expecting a free replacement—just some kind of option or explanation. Instead, I was offered nothing, which felt dismissive and rude.“

Great memories of yesterday. The Razzles, Dots, Lemonheads, etc., bring back countless memories. This throwback business is a must experience. The Straka Family is wonderful.“

“This is the best Dairy Queen around. Friendly staff with fast service and no screwed up orders. Everything here is 20-40% cheaper than the St John and Schererville locations. A box of 6 dilly bars cost $8.99 in Dyer. A box of dilly bars in St. John cost $17.99 and $16.99 in Schererville. The Schererville store ice cream quality is terrible, the blizzards are watery every time ive been there and ive been there around 20 times“

“Always great food. I have been going there since they were located one block south near the quarry. I worked for Daley’s Ambulance And that was considered our halfway point for medical runs. Best“

“Their beer cheese soup is amazing! I had it at Gordon Ramseys place downtown and the soup here is better! It’s worth a trip just for that and the bread and better alone!“

“The girls working were very nice, but stressed it seemed. There was a woman with her daughter that kept arguing with the managers about returning a blizzard that was purchase the day before and got upset when the girls said that they have a same day policy. They still kept the line going, but honestly that exchange put a sour taste in my mouth. Literally why are you trying to return ice cream the next day? Anyways the ice cream was pretty good, but the workers don’t seem respected at all.“

“Had a cinnamon roll flavored iced coffee. Service was great. Best part was the value. I definitely need to visit here again to try other flavors and drinks. Interested in the ice cream as well.

Very convenient spot when driving through the small towns avoiding the highway when going back to Chicago.

Hard to find a flavored iced coffee for under $5 nowadays but this is the spot for that!“

“Went today finally I had the strawberry yogurt with fruit OMG so good and the corn in cup and chicken tacos everything was delicious and prices to me was dare will be going back. I know some people complain about prices but I have paid way more for a yogurt drink and there is no way you get all those options my opinion. My business“

“Coffee was excellent, very fresh and it was very late in the day as well, and I ordered decaf which seems to be less popular, hence all this combined was impressive. The only downside was that they were running a small crew and service was slow, but polite.“

“Came in to the dining room to eat in around 8 or 8:30 p.m. Was not greeted by young woman at counter when I came in. Stood there several minutes waiting on husband and reading menu. Several people in the kitchen being loud and throwing things at each other. When he came in and we went to the counter she greeted us. Took our order. Pleasant enough. Another girl was wiping trays. We grabbed drinks. Area needed to be wiped down but the napkins, straws, lids, and ketchup area were all stocked. Went to dining room and had to go to 5 tables to find a clean one. Food came out quickly. They have changed their burgers. They are thin as paper. Like meat crepes. Seriously. Bacon was cooked the way I like it. Husband and I ordered the same sandwich, only he got a double. Apparently that changes the type of bun you get because mine was a regular hamburger bun wrapped in paper and his was a fluffy sandwich bun in a paper bowl. Receipt reflected we paid for two of the same sandwiches. So who knows the thought process there. Finished and dumped our tray. Didn't bother getting ice cream.“
