“This place is shabby as hell!!! Every time we eat here, the food is awful. Thrown together and either microwaved too much or cold. Please get better staff and make sure your food is on point. Your location is in Steger/Crete. Step it up a bit and stop serving shabby food because prices are high and pretty soon no one will be able to afford to go out and eat!!“

“A childhood memory in Chicago! I brought my husband to experience Gayetys. The charm when we walked in and then the SMELL OF YUMMY CHOCOLATE was a Zen moment!!! We toured the counters then dived into purchases! We had no time for ice cream but we will be back. We did have a piece of chocolate each at home ohhhhh yum. I had the taffy apple for dessert it was like no other. This is a must to visit.“

“It is easy. You get in and out with high quality desserts, but just a little small for when there is a decent amount of people there.

Parking: There were plenty of parking spots open, so you are able to park right next to the store.“

$4 regular onion rings came with literally only 4 onion rings. $1/ring is crazy so that’s the only feedback. Will say they were nice and crispy tho but still either overpriced, but more likely the gentleman serving out too few on accident.“

“I really love Dairy Bell, so I hate to leave this review, but my visit today was a little disappointing. I ordered a hot fudge brownie delight and didn’t realize it came with nuts. When I mentioned it at the window, I wasn’t expecting a free replacement—just some kind of option or explanation. Instead, I was offered nothing, which felt dismissive and rude.“

“I was visiting from Oklahoma and we happened upon this shop back in May. I had the strawberry lemonade cookies and loved them. When I came back into town, I knew I couldn't leave without buying some to bring back with me to Oklahoma today! I look forward to branching out next visit and I'll recommend this shop to anyone I know that says they are headed to Illinois!“

“Oh my stars...homemade ice cream.. shakes..fruit cups..fruit bars..man had the vanilla cake ice cream..it had chunks of cake in it.. yummy.. also had Doritos with plenty of cheese.. yes.. its an ice cream parlor and snack shop..great clean friendly place..prices are great..my new sweet shop.“

“I love The Sweet Tooth! My daughter Monica loves the gum cigarettes. I taught her how to blow the powder to make it look legit. She fooled her older sister and it made her day. Great memories of yesterday. The Razzles, Dots, Lemonheads, etc., bring back countless memories. This throwback business is a must experience. The Straka Family is wonderful.“

“This is the best Dairy Queen around. Friendly staff with fast service and no screwed up orders. Everything here is 20-40% cheaper than the St John and Schererville locations. A box of 6 dilly bars cost $8.99 in Dyer. A box of dilly bars in St. John cost $17.99 and $16.99 in Schererville. The Schererville store ice cream quality is terrible, the blizzards are watery every time ive been there and ive been there around 20 times“

“Always great food. I have been going there since they were located one block south near the quarry. I worked for Daley’s Ambulance And that was considered our halfway point for medical runs. Best“

“Their beer cheese soup is amazing! I had it at Gordon Ramseys place downtown and the soup here is better! It’s worth a trip just for that and the bread and better alone!“

“Such a welcoming and comfortable spot, along with excellent coffee both iced and hot and really good sliced turkey and ham with cheese sandwiches that they make here. Maddy was not only extremely pleasant but also very helpful in helping us get a new station on the television so we can keep up with the weather. Her pleasant calm demeanor really made for a very nice break in the middle of a very cold and snowy day.“

“This place is amazing to get some food. Customer service is great and the food can vary from ice cream, tortas, smothies, yogurts, elotes,chips, and natural drinks. (Recommendation: my favorite item is the mangollada it’s mango ice cream with mangos,Tajín, and chamoy.)“

“The girls working were very nice, but stressed it seemed. There was a woman with her daughter that kept arguing with the managers about returning a blizzard that was purchase the day before and got upset when the girls said that they have a same day policy. They still kept the line going, but honestly that exchange put a sour taste in my mouth. Literally why are you trying to return ice cream the next day? Anyways the ice cream was pretty good, but the workers don’t seem respected at all.“

“Coffee was excellent, very fresh and it was very late in the day as well, and I ordered decaf which seems to be less popular, hence all this combined was impressive. The only downside was that they were running a small crew and service was slow, but polite.“
