I believe at the moment the place has mandatory mask policy and has the indoor dining unavailable. Definitely going back to this location.“

“Purchased 4 dozen mini donuts for my son’s 40th Birthday party yesterday. My absolute favorites were the Banana Nutella, Glazed, Powered Sugar and Turtle mini donuts. I wanted an alternative to Cake and these were spot on! The staff is so accommodating, super nice, helpful and the donuts were super fresh. There wasn’t a single one left. I highly recommend it especially if you are having a party!“

“The best of the best in the area - Capanari's Ice Cream. They are very comparable to Oberweis Ice Cream. Capannari is open seasonally from March until Halloween usually. They have rotating seasonal/weekly flavors along with your classic Ice Cream flavors - I really like the Madagascar Vanilla Milkshakes. The workers are also very friendly, there's a patio and garden outside you can enjoy your ice cream in or a small couple of chairs inside. Definitely try them if you're in the area and want some great ice cream!“

“a mount prospect gem for sure! ice cream is generally all the same to me but this place is really special. the flavors are rich, creamy and delicious. i tried their choco taco and i'm in love now. you get the choice of toppings such as oreos, sprinkles, and can't remember the rest. it's super messy and the picture that i took of it in the box looks nothing special but it is a flavor bomb of deliciousness. the store is very small but plenty of outside seating. it seems to be run by very respectful and polite kids! definitely made for a special visit“

“If you're around the greater Chicago area. Stop in and grab a concrete. That's what I did.I'm from Missouri and we are known for how great our frozen custard places are. “Everything we have had from there - from gelato to pastries - have been delicious! Today, my husband brought home a large croissant with a cream/tiramasu type filling. The croissant was so fresh! It all melted in our mouths. Was supposed to be for dessert, but...?“

“Food was very good. I ended up with chilaquiles (with chicken breast) and my friend got the pupusas and dobladas. Really solid, and I appreciate the subtle differences in flavors between the Guatamalan dishes and standard Mexican fare. However, only 4/5 because ordering (in English) was difficult. I tried to get grilled skirt steak and a green chicken enchilada (as a single item, listed that way on the menu) but what was originally brought out was 3 green chicken enchiladas. I explained the issue and thought it was clear but ended up getting brought the chilaquiles. My friend got his pupusas but the dobladas was not brought and had to be ordered again. The food was delicious and I'm not a picky eater so this wasn't a huge deal, but others that need to order a specific thing, in English, may have trouble. I will be back though, and I will brush up on my Spanish.“

“I came to Andy's with some friends after they were shocked that I've never tried it or heard of it. It was on the colder side for a spring night but that didnt stop anyone craving something sweet. I was surprised to see such a long line for the drive thru. But it goes quickly. We decided to park and order at the walk-up window. Depending on where you park you can get blocked in by the drive thru lane. They don't have seating. It is a walk-up order counter. I like the fact that they had heaters in the standing area to help keep you semi warm. There's a lot of different options for mix ins on their menu ranging from sweet to savory. I decided to go with a small concrete butter pecan. The custard is very creamy and it's cool to see it being freshly made. The quality of the pecans really made the concrete. I would definitely stop by Andy's again to try some different creations.“

They had a carrot cake cookie that I would say ok for $5 but their regular size cookies for that same price is where I'm not totally sold. Don't get me wrong, they taste really good. The carrot cake with a bit more nuts would be awesome, and I'm one of those that wants raisins with carrot cake. “We stumbled across this place on our drive back home. The had allot of cool flavors to try. They offer a variety of sizes, including kids scoops for fraction of the price, which had me sold. It's just nice to spend less for little ones that probably won't finish a whole cup. My daughter got cotton candy, my son got super man, I got a large ultimate Oreo shake, and my husband got a regular scoop of the blueberry cheesecake. The service is so fast. They had people coming in and out, but they made sure not to miss anyone. The Inside was so colorful and bright. It gives summer vibes. Really nice find.“

“This is my favorite place for frozen yogurt. Over the past 10 years I've visited many locations, all of which started to decline and inevitably close (Glenview, Park Ridge, Deerfield, Mount Prospect). Schaumburg has been the most consistent location over the years. Algonquin was always pretty good too but my last visit the froyo was watery. I know there are Bloomingdale and Downers Grove locations but I haven't been to those. The location is very clean and although there are typically kids running the locations, the store is always well kept and the toppings station is always full and clean. The froyo is always great, and they always have good flavors. Their machines are typically full. And like I've mentioned always consistent. I've been turned off by other froyo shops where the froyo is priced by the ounce and the froyo comes out of the machine like frozen or watery slush and just a small amount weighs a ton, so you're paying more for less, not to mention not enjoyable froyo. The Schaumburg location the consistency of the yogurt is always spot on. It's never watery, too icy/slushy or bland. I truly believe this location takes pride in their shop. I hope they stay in business forever!“

“Upon my return visit to Chicago to visit my sister, we had to stop in and have ice cream midday though it was @ 40 degrees! Being from Las Vegas, we are not honored with Oberweis's presence. “There’s no doubt that this is the best ice cream shop in the greater Chicagoland area, however the staff is what makes the experience much more worth it each time we come. We came in a few nights ago and were helped by the lovely manager Zelle, who made my little brother’s birthday 10x better by not only treating him to a delicious sundae with a fun candy face and lots of sprinkles, but served it with a beautiful smile! We like to walk there during the summer and enjoy a peanut buster parfait or one of their many special blizzards. “My wife and I along with our neighbors dined in on Friday. We went there for the Walleye and Cod dinners the Walleye was delicious, and the cod was not quite as delicious. It wasn't inedible but was quite dry and quite bland. “It was a pretty decent dessert shop. Overall a 4.5. Great customer service. If you check in on Yelp, you get $1 off any size froyo bowl. Wide selection of drinks and froyo flavors. I got the strawberry mango real fruit drink with tapioca balls. 5/5. For the froyo I got a medium size with ube, lychee, and sea salt caramel pretzel. Ube flavor wasn’t very strong. Lychee was very refreshing. Sea salt caramel pretzel was very good. You can choose as many toppings as you want, as long as they can fit. I kept it simple with fresh strawberries, fresh cherries, and pomegranate boba.There is seating but be warned, kind of limited depending on how long loitering families will stay. When we got there, there were a couple Indian families hogging two tables. They were already finished eating/drinking when we arrived. They were still there after we ate. They were probably there for a couple hours. Parking lot is also very tight and small. Difficult for cars entering/exiting. No restrooms.“

“My friend and I went here after the movies and decided to try their ice cream. The store itself is small but they have so much to offer from ice cream, candies, fudge, caramel apples, etc. It's location is perfectly located in downtown Elmhurst right next to the movie theatre. It was so hard to choose a flavor but I went with the All-American Two Berry Pie. Talk about YUM! The ice cream itself was so creamy and smooth. The texture was absolutely perfect. In the vanilla ice cream, there was a nice blend of strawberry, Blueberry, and sugared pie crust pieces. It was by far one of the best ice cream flavors I have ever had. The only downside is that they are quite pricy. It was $13 and some odd change for 2 single scoops in cake cones. I personally think that is pretty steep and the portion is just average. I cannot wait to come back to try more flavors as I am a ice cream lover!“

For this particular Kilwins, there's only street parking, so there can be a bit of a walk if the downtown gets busy. However, the sign is brightly lit and easy to spot. They offer a wide assortment of desserts, including fudge, caramel apples (made in-house), chocolate-dipped cookies, and of course, ice cream. The worker happily gave us fudge samples which was a nice surprise. I tried the chocolate cherry walnut which was delicious.They had over 20 ice cream flavors to choose from. I had the toasted coconut. The flavor was great, but it was elevated from the bits of crunchy chocolate pieces. Unfortunately, there's no seating available, so you'll have to eat standing inside or find somewhere else outside. Prices are on the higher end, but I'd consider it a gourmet ice cream shop.“
