“The best of the best in the area - Capanari's Ice Cream. They are very comparable to Oberweis Ice Cream. Capannari is open seasonally from March until Halloween usually. They have rotating seasonal/weekly flavors along with your classic Ice Cream flavors - I really like the Madagascar Vanilla Milkshakes. The workers are also very friendly, there's a patio and garden outside you can enjoy your ice cream in or a small couple of chairs inside. Definitely try them if you're in the area and want some great ice cream!“

“Went in a few days ago and was greeted by the owner who totally over-served my 2 kids in the best way possible. We ordered minis and he gave huge portions with lots of the toppings we ordered. “Food was very good. I ended up with chilaquiles (with chicken breast) and my friend got the pupusas and dobladas. Really solid, and I appreciate the subtle differences in flavors between the Guatamalan dishes and standard Mexican fare. However, only 4/5 because ordering (in English) was difficult. I tried to get grilled skirt steak and a green chicken enchilada (as a single item, listed that way on the menu) but what was originally brought out was 3 green chicken enchiladas. I explained the issue and thought it was clear but ended up getting brought the chilaquiles. My friend got his pupusas but the dobladas was not brought and had to be ordered again. The food was delicious and I'm not a picky eater so this wasn't a huge deal, but others that need to order a specific thing, in English, may have trouble. I will be back though, and I will brush up on my Spanish.“

By far the best gelato I have ever had! The owner Antonella could not have been more welcoming. I observed her interacting with children and she made them feel so special. The hand crafted affogato was out of the world. The shop is so cute and welcoming, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a delicious treat. We will be back soon! AMAZING!!! “I came to Andy's with some friends after they were shocked that I've never tried it or heard of it. It was on the colder side for a spring night but that didnt stop anyone craving something sweet. I was surprised to see such a long line for the drive thru. But it goes quickly. We decided to park and order at the walk-up window. Depending on where you park you can get blocked in by the drive thru lane. They don't have seating. It is a walk-up order counter. I like the fact that they had heaters in the standing area to help keep you semi warm. There's a lot of different options for mix ins on their menu ranging from sweet to savory. I decided to go with a small concrete butter pecan. The custard is very creamy and it's cool to see it being freshly made. The quality of the pecans really made the concrete. I would definitely stop by Andy's again to try some different creations.“

Flavors range from traditional (chocolate, vanilla, caramel) to more exotic (blueberry cheesecake, peanut butter cookie dough) and all kinds of creations ("fat Elvis" with banana, peanut butter and chocolate chips or the "exhausted parent" with bourbon, espresso and chocolate chunks)You can get scoops (cones or dish), shakes, sundaes with a large variety of toppings, or the "Scoopzilla", which is something like a dozen scoops, maybe more? We may need to host a party just to try it!The staff are friendly and they really hustle to serve customers quickly. There is no inside seating but there is a large parking lot with ample space or a block north of Palatine Road on Windsor is Lake Arlington so a perfect place to take your ice cream to enjoy.“

I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad soup. Sandwiches are a bit lacking in my opinion. Ice cream is also amazing. “There’s no doubt that this is the best ice cream shop in the greater Chicagoland area, however the staff is what makes the experience much more worth it each time we come. We came in a few nights ago and were helped by the lovely manager Zelle, who made my little brother’s birthday 10x better by not only treating him to a delicious sundae with a fun candy face and lots of sprinkles, but served it with a beautiful smile! Her and other staff were having lots of fun behind the counter and engaging in jokes and conversation with my family. They really made us feel like we were old friends to them, like regulars that they’ve known their whole lives, something you really don’t see anymore. You would think that’s how every service worker would be while working in ice cream? Nope, only at this Graeter’s. Thank you Zelle and thank you Graeter’s team!“
“Yum, our first visit here in years and it was a treat. We used to frequent the long ago closed Village Creamery in Skokie years ago but never came here much for whatever reason and despite passing by frequently. I had a halo-halo shaved ice for $10.29. It was a colorful, flavorful, delicious, and satisfying treat. Besides the various content items, I also really particularly enjoyed the shaved ice, which with the frozen milk flavoring, was really more ice cream like than say the regular shaved ice that you might find in a Korean bingsoo treat. At $4.95 per scoop, the prices here are slightly elevated, but there are a lot of nice and exotic Filipino based Asian flavors. There is btw a 3.5% credit card charge here also, so bring cash if you want to save a little bit. This ice cream shop stop also had the same typical and uncanny customer traffic flow I've come to expect. It's totally empty one minute (like when we stepped in), and at any moment a herd will step in, and sure enough it happened again while we were here. It's also a smallish space here, so it doesn't take much of a herd to fill it up. It all makes for fun people watching while enjoying your treat. I will endeavor to return sooner than later next time around.“

“My wife and I along with our neighbors dined in on Friday. We went there for the Walleye and Cod dinners the Walleye was delicious, and the cod was not quite as delicious. It wasn't inedible but was quite dry and quite bland. We were a little disappointed with the Cod, but very happy with our meal.The employees were fantastic, the restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was comfortable. “It was a pretty decent dessert shop. Overall a 4.5. Great customer service. If you check in on Yelp, you get $1 off any size froyo bowl. Wide selection of drinks and froyo flavors. I got the strawberry mango real fruit drink with tapioca balls. 5/5. For the froyo I got a medium size with ube, lychee, and sea salt caramel pretzel. Ube flavor wasn’t very strong. Lychee was very refreshing. Sea salt caramel pretzel was very good. You can choose as many toppings as you want, as long as they can fit. I kept it simple with fresh strawberries, fresh cherries, and pomegranate boba.There is seating but be warned, kind of limited depending on how long loitering families will stay. When we got there, there were a couple Indian families hogging two tables. They were already finished eating/drinking when we arrived. They were still there after we ate. They were probably there for a couple hours. Parking lot is also very tight and small. Difficult for cars entering/exiting. No restrooms.“

For this particular Kilwins, there's only street parking, so there can be a bit of a walk if the downtown gets busy. However, the sign is brightly lit and easy to spot. They offer a wide assortment of desserts, including fudge, caramel apples (made in-house), chocolate-dipped cookies, and of course, ice cream. The worker happily gave us fudge samples which was a nice surprise. I tried the chocolate cherry walnut which was delicious.They had over 20 ice cream flavors to choose from. I had the toasted coconut. The flavor was great, but it was elevated from the bits of crunchy chocolate pieces. Unfortunately, there's no seating available, so you'll have to eat standing inside or find somewhere else outside. Prices are on the higher end, but I'd consider it a gourmet ice cream shop.“

When she got home I put my hand in the bag to get sandwich out and felt something warm and in just a wrapper was my fish without a bun. “I have now visited this place a few times. I was here when they first opened and they needed to work out the kinks. I visited again when their pastries seemed to only come out of the refrigerated shelves and now they have a case with pastries. The two women working were nice when I arrived both greeting me separately when I walked in. One worked solely on drive thru orders and didn't help out the main counter if there was no one in the drive thru. The other working the main counter took her time making my drink of choice: hot mocha with oatmilk and an extra pump of chocolate (not a coffee drinker here). She filled my mug to the brim with artistic yumminess. It's a fairly open concept inside with two Jeni's ice cream coolers along one wall and a refrigerated cooler with juice cold brew canned coffees, bagels, fruit and other items. There's plenty of seating and plenty of space so you aren't on top of others. They have bistro tables, high chairs with a counter along two windows, low tables for 2/4/6 people for privacy to collaboration, and they have comfortable chairs and couches with coffee tables. It's a great place to start your day, conduct business, meet up with family and friends or to just kick back with a nice cup of Joe and a decent nosh.“

“I've been trying to look a good matcha ice cream place in Chicago for the longest time and I FOUND IT! Releaf is located in the cutest Japanese marketplace, tucked away in the corner amid other restaurants. I got their Black Sesame and Matcha mixed soft serve on a cone. Honestly, there isn't much to say except that it was delicious. The quantity is really great, swirl was aesthetically pleasing to look at, and you can taste both the matcha and black sesame. The staff said that the soft serve is definitely stronger compared to the ice cream scoop. They do serve drinks during their normal operating hour, but after like 6/7pm, they only sell soft serve and ice cream after those times.“
