“I’ve been driving past Taco Boom Truck for what feels like forever, always catching a whiff of grilled meat or seeing a small line of people and thinking, “One day I’ll stop.” Well, I finally did, and man, I should’ve done it way sooner.
It’s a simple setup, parked off the road, colorful, and always smelling amazing. People were hanging out, eating, and the service was quick and friendly. The guy at the window even gave me some salsa tips when I told him it was my first time.
I went with two carne asada tacos. No exaggeration, the meat was so tender and juicy, with this really nice char on the edges. You could taste the seasoning in every bite, nothing overpowering, just that good mix of garlic, citrus, and smoky flavor. The tortillas were warm, soft but sturdy enough to hold everything together (no taco explosions, which is always a win).
The green salsa? Wild. It started off kind of mild, then hit with this spicy, peppery kick that crept up in the best way. It had some creamy avocado vibes too, which made it super addictive. Honestly, I kept dipping even after I ran out of taco.
If you’re in the mood for solid tacos that hit all the right notes, Taco Boom is 100% worth the stop. I already know I’ll be back.“

“Baby! When I say the best steak taco I have ever had!!!! So tender, so seasoned, so juicy! I will definitely return again and again. I purchased the taco for my son and i REALLY wanted him to forget about his extra one so I could eat it later. I was sooo disappointed when he didn't forget about it the next day, lol.“

“Yesterday was my first time visiting this location, and overall I had a really good experience 😊 The food was super delicious and full of flavor, and the portions were very generous - definitely more than enough to feel satisfied 🍽️👌 I’ll absolutely be coming back again!
One small thing that could be improved is clearer signage. There wasn’t anything indicating that you can seat yourself, so I assumed I needed to order at the counter and wait for a number 🤔 Turns out I was completely wrong, and for a moment I thought I was about to get scolded 😅 The lady at the counter helped fix my order and guided me, and then I was able to sit down.
Aside from that little confusion, everything else was great, and I still really enjoyed my visit 🙌✨“

“Could be a little cleaner on the counter and table tops but it was lunch time busy. Had the Specials of the Day: Lomo Burrito ($9.99) and Carnitas Tacos ($2.99) and reg price Al Pastor Taco ($3.99). The chucks of carnitas need to be smaller, they were way too big for tacos. The quality of food though was consistently just as good as their other locations. The Al Pastor was especially tasty carved off the gyros like spit.“

“Digos tacos is a neighborhood gem. This place has changed owners several times while living here and I recently went a few times and was not disappointed. Their meat is flavorful, their micheladas are bomb, and the quesabirria tacos are delicious. The food is well priced & the owners/chefs even made my golden retriever a plain carne asada taco and gave her a water bowl. 10/10“

“Stopped in by chance just passing bcus my daughter wanted to purchase a water and this was the first place we saw after she requested water. Decided to order tacos and they were absolutely delicious. We had the carne asada and it was so flavorful. We ordered as a take out order but the presentation was very neat and colorful with garnishes of red pepper, lime and radish. Nice staff also.“

“this restaurant is an absolute gem!! my partner and i had an early dinner here last saturday and were really blown away by how incredible the food, drinks and service were. between us we had soup, flautas, wings, a gordita and a burrito and we basically gushed over how delicious it all was for days after!
the drinks alone are reason enough to stop in.
the place is a masterclass in substance AND style, and we can’t wait to try some more menu items next time!“

“My family and I traveled to Chicago twice this year and dined at the Asian Cuisine Express both times. The owner, cooks and wait staff were all extremely friendly and made each of our visits a wonderful experience. We ordered Chinese and Japanese food and we also sampled some of their new delicious tacos... everything we tried was absolutely fantastic. We live 300 miles away so we ordered a lot of takeout to bring home with us to share with our friends who didn't get to make the trips. Asian Cuisine express will be a regular stop now for us every time we go to Chicago... we highly recommend everyone tries this restaurant and we can't wait until we visit there again. Thanks to all the great people at Asian Cuisine Express!!!“

“Had such a good experience at Solana in Wicker Park.
The tacos were absolutely delicious and full of flavor, but honestly the rooftop view might’ve made the experience even better. Sitting above the Blue Line tracks with a full view of the Chicago skyline felt so cinematic — especially on a sunny day.
The combination of great food, city views, trains passing by, and the colorful murals around the neighborhood made this feel like such a perfect Chicago spot. Easily one of my favorite rooftop experiences in the city.“

“Burritos are huge. Don’t recommend the shrimp tacos or chorizo, really salty even when eaten with the rice. Our waitress Guadalupe was rude, doesn’t know how to smile, and kept rushing us. Took a star off because of her.
Really hated that the tip was mandatory with no option to adjust. Tipped almost $20 for absolute garbage service. Will Not return“

“We have an amazing time every time we go there. We enjoy taking one of our bikes, muscle cars, antique cars etc for a night out, and going for great food and entertainment. The bartender is absolutely fantastic! He remembers what we drive, hobbies etc. It’s just an all around great place to go. The burgers are just absolutely fantastic. And you can’t beat the Monday special. Try the seasoned fries!“
