“Walking in this place was a lot bigger than I thought by just the outside. They have a few tables on a couple walls and booths along one of the other walls. Sitting down my company was handed menus to order from. We quickly learned that ramen could only be ordered Monday to Thursday. We asked if they had any leftover ramen they could make for at least 2 of us and the waiter said they could. We didn't get any of the Cajun seafood boils, but instead got 2 bowls of ramen, and a tuna salad rice bowl. Both ramen bowls were very good, they do come spicy as a standard, but you have the option to make it spicier. We also got a family order of crab fried rice, big order and absolutely delicious. Overall our food was very good, although a bit combusted by the decor at first we still felt at home with the beautifully put together bowls of food. We will definitely be returning. And it will for sure be a treat.“

Every meal of Filet Mignon combination Golden Shrimp with a side order of Golden Shrimp has been perfect and the same for 17 years! I am glad you both get to rest and relax after the New Year!!!! “This place is amazing! I didn’t even know it was here in Fox Lake. But I am so glad my husband told me about it. The atmosphere is amazing, the music is beautiful and the lighting is warming and comfortable. The staff are happy and very kind. They’re also extremely helpful! And the food? 10/10!! The sushi is perfect, not too much rice and super tasty. The bento boxes are great too. I can’t wait to come try some special sushi rolls next time. Highly recommend! Great for a date night or for ordering in after a long day. :)“

“Omg, the food here was so amazing! And we are very picky as asian foodies. Went here for my bday and they even did the cutest thing with putting a candle on a stack of almond cookies with fortune cookes surrounding it to sing to me. The waiter was polite and the wife of the cook, which I assume is also the owner, was extremely warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back and reccomend to our friends.“

“Szechwan Palace is a charming small Chinese restaurant in Antioch. Currently, the atmosphere is a bit disrupted due to ongoing construction, but it still retains a cozy and inviting feel.

Food: I have visited Szechwan Palace numerous times and always enjoy the food. The drunken noodles and egg rolls are my favorites. On my last visit, I tried the Kung Pao beef, which was quite good but could use a bit more wok flavor. The soup, while tasty, could benefit from a bit more spice and the addition of shiitake or Chinese mushrooms, a touch more sourness, ginger, a hint of sugar, and some rice vinegar to enhance its flavor.

Service: The service at Szechwan Palace is consistently very good. The staff are polite and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

Overall: Despite the current construction, Szechwan Palace remains a delightful spot for authentic Szechuan cuisine in Antioch. I look forward to returning and seeing the progress on the renovations and AUTHENTIC ASIAN FOOD !!!!!“

“We ordered a Thanksgiving catering package for our Black Friday get-together and everything was delicious, but the smoked turkey breast stole the show! The food was still hot even by the time we got it home and set up. The server there at 2pm when I picked up was very kind and helpful as well! We will definitely be back!

“Our first time to Primo was a special occasion as it was not only our anniversary but also our daughter was in town to visit and celebrate. Ryan V was our server and was fantastic - personable, knowledgeable and attentive! The menu is large, but don’t let that intimidate you! Ryan walked us through the app and entrees and we had everything from steak, to fish and pasta! ALL were delicious!! We will be back for sure, and highly recommend!“

“I just had to share how amazing the staff was at helping me out. It was the first time ordering online and I had unknownly put Wasabi in my bowl, which I had unfortunately believed to have been a bad bowl. I was able to communicate with the staff and they were so kind and were able to fix my bowl for me after coming out of work. “I’ve had the steak on my initial visit, and it was not as high of quality as I expected for the price. Flavor was fine though. Not a fan of the calamari seasoning. The wedge salad is fabulous, and in fact his is my go to whenever I visit. The meatballs are also excellent, probably had a half dozen times, once was slightly undercooked, but have been perfect since. The specialty drinks are wonderful as well. Even though in a temporary structure, you’d be hard pressed to notice.“
