I came before they were closing and he took care of me , I absolutely love JJ Fish & Chicken! Every time I go, I order the chicken tenders, and they are always fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food. The customer service is excellent—everyone is friendly, welcoming, and quick to help. It’s hard to find a spot that consistently delivers great food and service, but JJ Fish & Chicken nails it every time. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food and a great experience!“

“Went to Devons in Oakbrook with old friends. Had a wonderful time and the food was exceptional. The crab cakes were the best I ever had. No fillers and lots of delicious crab. The waiter Trenton was amazing!!“

“Today was my first time there. The food is delicious my kids love it but I don’t feel I had the great service. First, we didn’t get the napkins and utensils on time but way after the food got there. A drink spilled on me (our fault) which made me realized there was no napkins provided, by the time we found the lady for napkins I was soaking wet. Then we were about to start eating and my children needed a fork, well no fork was provided. We ordered 3 seafood boils, no utensils for that were provided neither. My husband ordered an extra drink, never was it brought to us. I’m happy my kids enjoyed it, but we were not that pleased as we saw others being treated differently. Not sure if we will be returning.“

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by extremely friendly staff who made us feel welcome right away. The service started off great and stayed that way the entire time. We were seated very quickly and didn’t have to wait long at all. The food came out fresh and hot, and no joke; everything we tried was extremely delicious. We decided to try a little bit of everything so we could really experience the menu. We ordered the oxtails, Alfredo pasta, lamb chops, fried catfish, rib tips, baked mac & cheese, and candied yams, and every single dish was on point. The flavors were incredible and everything was cooked perfectly. Another thing that really stood out was how clean the restaurant was. Even the bathrooms were spotless, which always says a lot about a place. Great food, great service, and a clean environment; you can’t ask for much more than that. Hands down a 10/10 experience. The food comes out fresh every time, full of bold flavors and just the right level of spice 🌶️. You can really tell they put care into every dish.

The space is pretty small and cozy, so it can feel a little packed at times, but that just adds to the charm 😊. It’s definitely the kind of spot you go to for amazing food, not fancy seating.

“Disappointment this time. Service was very very slow. It took 30 minutes before our waiter came to the table to get our drink order. After much delay we finally got to order. It was over an hour after our drink orders were taken before the food was delivered. Place was busy for the the number of staff in place. Several times we asked other waiters for assistance.“

“My friend and I stumbled upon this spot because we were vending at a space across the street from them. The venue we were at didn’t have chairs for people, so I came to Mariscos’ to ask if we could borrow some chairs, and buy lunch. Right away Mary, one of the servers, translated my request and was able to get me 2 chairs. Mary is incredibly kind really made my day! We ordered 2 tacos with rice and crab salad, as well as 2 horchatas for lunch.
The food was awesome! Came out steaming, smelled great and tasted even better. I felt very lucky that Mariscos is so friendly and had such amazing food and service. Highly recommend!!“

There was a waitlist of about 30mins but it was also a busy Sunday afternoon so that is to be expected. Service was attentive from not only our main server but the rest of the team as well. The food itself could have used minor changes like less or more of certain seasonings for certain dishes but maybe that’s just me and my preferences. “Up until now, I have never wanted to try frog legs until I tasted theirs. Took my Mom to lunch and tried one of hers which turned into a few and now I'm hooked. They were moist, juicy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Very fresh and well sized. Didnt too much care for the chicken wing zings. They were too salty although fresh and crispy. Also had the seafood salad which was good. Been back again for the frog legs. FYI it is CASH ONLY. Great customer service which was a plus for me. So I didn't mind coming back considering I live no where near the restaurant.“

“I always enjoy Seafood Junction. I found I prefer the baked fish, I usually go with the catfish, with steamed veggies in butter sauce with a little of all the seasonings. I always get a side of the veggies to eat as another meal. The hard boiled eggs in butter, again with all the seasonings, are good as well.“

“Went here for the first time to give it a try. Honestly speaking. The place was very clean The layout was fresh. I had the chicken and fish combo. With wings catfish and talipia. The chicken was well seasoned a bit too salty for me personally but still good. Talipia was bland but the crust was good. But the Catfish can take them very far. I was very impressed and will be back regularly for their Catfish. Yummy“

“I came back to this restaurant for the second time yesterday and it definitely did not disappoint 😍🦀 The food tasted incredibly fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I ordered the snow crab legs with red sauce and they were absolutely amazing 🔥🍽️ Even the leftovers I brought home still tasted delicious the next day 😋 That says a lot about the quality! My wife ordered a LEVANTA MUERTOS for 2, but it was mostly for 3 or 4.
Plate was served plenty, and tasteful, everything in there was cooked perfectly. Also it came with lost of hot sauces and tostadas witch save time to just seat and eat.
But EMPANADAS DE CAMARON were not that wood, flavor was right, but they were under cooked.
We ordered to go, but next time we will eat there. Place looks nice and nite.“

“My company moved a block away, and when I strike events I get back at 1-2am, so tonight I tried for first time coming back from downtown I usually stop at goose Island or I stop for a jew town polish Maxwell st, but didn't feel like stopping so I ordered the catfish nugget regular meal and it was incredible, highly recommend service was great the lemon pepper seasoning was fire came with fries and old school 2 pieces of white bread reminded me of getting from harolds chicken , next time I try the Wings. ;)“
