“I love coming to this neighborhood cafe for breakfast and lunch. The soup is delicious. I loved the chicken salad sandwich and salad was simple but tasty.. The cafe is cozy with a fire and the outdoor space is the best in the NorthShore with quiet views and room for the kids to play.”
“This place is the best. The food is to die for. I have been to Boonies several times now and i have yet to have a menu item that i haven't absolutely loved. The service is fantastic and the atmosphere and playlist are great. I can't recommend this place enough!”
“Excellent food and amazing customer service !Spacca Napoli never disappoints. The ? are amazing! Definitely recommend visiting. Reservations are recommended for an evening visit .They have daily specials and you can order online too for pick up.”
“Today, we hosted a couples shower at Stay and Play Cafe! It was beyond amazing! The owners, Yesenia and Jose were so easy and delightful to work with, the staff was attentive, recommending and teaching games to our guests of all ages, the food was delicious(cheesy eggs and quesitos were scrumptious), and the atmosphere was just perfect! I can't recommend this cafe enough. I look forward to having other functions here and/or coming with a group of friends. I can't wait to start spreading the word to family and friends. Thank you Jose and Yesenia for making our day so special! Anita G.”
“We went last night for the first time… Great menu options, food was delicious, portions were perfect, staff was really nice. I had the Grilled Salmon, he had the Braised Pork Shoulder…definitely recommend both.”
“If you claim Pequod’s or Burt’s as some of your favorites you MUST try Milly’s! It’s very similar however it’s executed to a higher standard (better toppings, more cheese providing better ratios)”
“I attended the Sober and Bougie event at Cultivate last night. My first ever event like this. It was really well done. The staff (chef/bartender) were extremely knowledgeable, the courses were timed really well, and everyone was super friendly. I had actually never been to Cultivate before; because I’m doing sober January, this event (that I saw advertised on Facebook) was screaming my name. Im really glad I went. I would encourage Cultivate to continue with more events of this nature.”
“As a perfectionist who doesn’t believe in anything being perfect, I found it hard to give any critiques to our Bistro Campagne experience. Our server, Alexander, did not miss a beat. Every bite of food was exquisite. We enjoyed the escargot and mussels as an app. Then we split the steak frites and salmon entrees. Incredible. I also highly recommend the Spanish Harlem cocktail. We will be back again.”
“May God bless the kind & benevolent souls who work at this legendary restaurant. May God grant them and their families prosperity.Vegetarian options: Falafel, fries, hummus & pita, lentil soup, and I believe the stuffed grape leaves are vegetarian (though, some variations of the recipe may contain meat), so I would double-check with them if the stuffed grape leaves are vegetarian.Kid-friendliness: Restaurant seating offers a great family friendly environment”
“This place is amazing!!!! I rarely leave reviews for restaurants but this one deserves 10 stars. I don’t know what is better, the atmosphere, food or service. Its definitely in my top 3 in Chicago.”
“The food was absolutely delicious. Went with the green shakshuka and it was tremendous, as was the hummus and the house bacon. Our server was also an absolute gem of a human and took excellent care of us. A bit pricey but worth it. Would definitely recommend.”
“4.5 stars if Google would allow half stars. We were visiting from Kansas City a d food is for sure our cities thing, so we planned our trip to Chi-Town around food for sure. Little Goat Dinner was on the eater best brunch list, so we had to try it. It for sure lived up to the hype.- Great atmosphere- Kid friendly- Dietary restrictions are doable here- Amazing and even creative foodBrunch can be too sweet or even too heavy. I'm my eyes. Little Goat does a great job at being creative and even detailed about how they present and make their dishes. This is a must!Vegetarian options: Items that would work for sure.Dietary restrictions: They helped me with my dairy issues.Parking: Small parking so plan ahead.Kid-friendliness: Absolutely!Wheelchair accessibility: I do believe it would work here.”
“The pho broth is rich, generous, and delicious. It is boiled hot and goes well with rich soup. The meat quality is good and the vegetables are also good. When I'm looking for rich, flavorful style pho in Chicago, I'll come here.”
“Don’t come here. Don’t make this place as busy as it should be so I have to plan my visit. Keep it the same tucked away kitchen only locals know and love. Don’t make me reserve a table for the best carbonara in the city.”
“It's truly a crime that this place doesn't have more reviews. This is one of the best pizzas I've ever had in my life. The sourdough is splendid, giving the crust a beautiful balance between soft and crunchy. The sauce is out of this world, I wish they sold jars of it so I could eat it more often. Every topping is incredibly flavorful and fresh. My favorites were the ricotta, cherry tomatoes, beef meatballs, and spinach.Make sure to preorder at least a day before you plan to go, since they make a limited amount of pizzas. Do yourself a favor and order the larger size, that way you can enjoy leftovers once you're back home and dreaming about the pizza! I can't wait to come back here again soon!”
“I love the jian bing with beef floss ; and the bubble waffles are delicious. The place is always clean, the proprietor is always friendly, the service is quick, and the prices are reasonable. .”
“From the moment we stepped into Munno Pizzeria and Bistro, we were greeted with a warmth that only foreshadowed the delightful evening ahead. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, making it an ideal setting for any occasion. Each dish we ordered was a testament to the chef’s mastery over Italian cuisine, blending traditional flavors with a modern twist that left us savoring every bite. The pizza, with its perfectly charred crust and innovative toppings, was a highlight, while the pasta dishes were reminiscent of a culinary journey through Italy. What truly sets Munno apart, however, is the impeccable service. The staff’s attention to detail and genuine care for the dining experience made us feel truly special. Our dinner at Munno Pizzeria and Bistro wasn’t just a meal; it was a memorable dining experience that we’re already looking forward to repeating. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, missing out on this Michelin-starred gem would be a mistake. Bravo to the Munno team for exceeding our expectations!”
“So many delicious flavors, it was hard to pick. Our family of four enjoyed our different choices. It's a beautiful ambiance for the beginning of summer with indoor and outside space. Staff was very friendly and helpful in helping us decide which flavors to try. Def recommend and we'll be back to try new flavors!”
“Best ice cream EVER and the service and experience is unbelievable. Such a fun place to go. Even though the ice cream is expensive, the service and the samples make up for it. Love this place.”
“Eravamo in 4 a cena e siamo rimasti soddisfatti sia del cibo che del servizio . Il locale era pieno di gente ma la cameriera Maria ci ha serviti velocemente e in maniera simpatica e professionale. Le pizze che abbiamo mangiato sono state ottime. Ristorante consigliato.”
“Love this spot! Have been coming here regularly since they first open in their original location. Great service, great food and selection of drinks. Especially love the rotating beer taps!”
“The wolf burger is wild! You gotta be a monster in order to finish that. Thankfully I was. The atmosphere is too crowded all the time but for good reason. Good food and reasonable prices! A must visit for meatheads.”
“We went to Mia Francesa for dinner on Saturday, our server Alfonso introduced us to the new antipasto, the agnolloti and the pollo Milanese were delicious! We finished with the carrot cake. Great experience the energy is unique. We were happy to see the place full!!! Alfonso is a fantastic server, very welcoming, friendly, and really knows how to make the customer's evening a fantastic one!!! We will definitely be back for the delicious food and the fantastic service that Alfonso provides at Mia Francesca.”
“The staff is always so kind, the food is always fresh, consistent and delicious, the restaurant is always clean and is a comfy space. Hands down one of my favorite breakfast places I’ve found in the area.”
“A not so hidden gem as of late now that reviews are catching up with the imaginative menu and exceptional dining experience Community Tavern has been consistently providing over the past several years. Menu is full of unique dishes… elevated dumpling and noodles are a signature. Beautifully plated and generous- but not overly. Cocktail menu is fun, with zero proof options that are spot on. Save room for baked Alaska. Oh, and ambiance is chic but allows the focus to be where it belongs. On the food. Upscale West Loop experience in modest Portage Park for a lot less and no pretense.”
“One of my favorite places in the city. I dig sitting at the old bar with only a few people as the bar keeps give excellent recs and tastes of the drafts, and their Belgians are the best selection on the city. Weather permitting the back patio is great! I have a hard time not getting the mussels and frites.”
“2nd time coming and was bit disappointed. There was few open tables in other parts of the restaurant for group of 4 and they sat us by the door. Every 2-3 mins the server or someone would come up to see if we wanted to order something and barely gave us time to look at the menu. Even during dinner we felt rushed asking us if we want everything then giving us the check before asking if we wanted something else. Overall the food was good but service was very rushed.”
“I’ve been twice, once to dine in and the other to dine out. The restaurant itself is a great space. It’s small enough to feel intimate and quiet. Both times I’ve had the pastelillos de carne, lechón, y arroz con gandules. The food is SOOOO good! I’m a Puertorriqueño originally from NYC (South Bronx) and Puerto Rican food was not just plentiful at home but in the community. Since moving to the Midwest (first Nebraska, the Minnesota, and now Illinois) I’ve usually had to hope for cuisines that were proximal but not Puerto Rican (Colombian, Venezuelan, Cuban, etc.). Chicago has obviously been much better as it relates to Puerto Rican options but of all the ones I’ve tried to date (within and beyond Humboldt Park) Marina’s takes the prize for feeling most like a home cooked meal. The food is so flavorful. The portions are just right. It may be a bit pricier than some peers but honestly it’s worth it. So glad to have a place much closer to my home in Rogers Park.”
“Visited this spot on New Year's Eve with some good friends. Great vibes and fun mini golfing! Good way to stay active on your night out. Also some games scattered around the place. Very friendly staff. We had an amazing night there. Highly recommend!”
“Another great meal at Great Coast. We both had the St. Patrick’s Day corner beef and cabbage special.Loud and somewhat cramped. Not a place for a romantic dinner. Definitely a place for great food?I highly recommend Great Coast Commons.”
