The cooking here has seriously degraded in quality since 2022. Talk about flavorless! It wasn't that way just a little bit ago.

Service is still great but tipping 25% is loopy.

The place is clean and, other than for the poor cooking, well operated. Parking is still rough on weekends.“

“Amazing find! Worth the drive. Been wanting to find/try a vegan bakery. Had seen this store come up when searching for options. Today made the drive there. So worth it!!! Choc Chip scone is delicious; good texture, plenty of chips and excellent tasting. Also purchased cinnamon roll. After heating, just incredible! Frosting super delish, dough was great. Anxious to go back, would like to try cupcakes, empanadas and pie. Store is super cute!!! Also, the owner/manager was at an event, not at store today. However, family member there (Mom I think). “We were visiting from out of town and were fortunate to find this lovely place to have a Mother's Day breakfast. The food was phenomenal as was the service. They were very busy but you would have never known it by the attentiveness and smiles from the staff. The flower they gave to all of the moms was a beautiful touch. I am a little sad I didn't go back before we left to bring food home with us. “We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at the Lake Forest location when we were in town for our daughter's U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command graduation. By far the best place we ate when we were in the Chicagoland area. I gave it a nod in my book and encourage anyone visiting Great Lakes to stop there with their sailor during liberty.“

“Our group of 8 planned a mtg at Lou's at 6pm. The general dining room was very, very noisy! Upon inquiring if there was a quieter space; the Manager, Dion, went Above & Beyond to move us to a private area. Fortunately it was available. Yet, it was all because of Dion that this happened! He even helped carry our waters, drinks, etc. He made certain we were happily situated in this new space. His attitude (on a very busy night at Lou's) was fantastic!!!! Kudos to Dion!! “How crazy is this. Going to Sunset Foods I saw this sign in the window of a storefront to the West. Fortunately I found BRIGHT BOWLS owned and operated by a Highland Parker named Lindsay. I can’t describe the ambiance and wonderful products. You need to experience on your own. My favorite so far is the LoveABowl. Enjoy on site or to go. Get Bright Butter, Bright Granola and Bright Smiles. Tell the staff Larry sent you. Hmmmm“

“My first time ever trying Thai food, my husband has always been a fan. I am now hooked, this place is amazing. I knew it had to be good when I pulled up to a restaurant attached to a home kitchen. We ordered the Beef noodle soup spice level 2, chicken pad thai spice level 3, order of sticky buns, crispy egg rolls and crab rangoon. Everything was amazing. Tender beef in the soup, fresh not canned crunchy sprouts, rich broth. My husband loved the heat and fresh veggies in his pad thai. Even after sitting in the bag for about 30 minutes after pick up the rangoons were perfectly crunchy thanks to the venting on the container they put them in. Perfect portions, quality, great price, clean, all staff wearing masks, multiple carry out options in terms of curb side pick up, going in, delivery etc. Highly highly highly recommend. Cannot wait for our next take out/date night.“

“I wanted to give this location props for their lunch on 8/17. Walking in around 1pm, I could tell they had had their butts handed to them and were obviously understaffed. However, in my perspective they were handling the hangry customers very well, were staying calm and the staff that was present seemed to know what they were doing. The only reason for 4 stars is because and (this has happened more than once at this location) rather than suggesting I try my Pesto Cavatappi with pork, they tell me it comes with pork, which is not true. There is an additional charge for any meat on this bowl.“

“This place is the classic "Jewish style" deli gem. The brunch crowd are gossiping older folks, who sit forever and get a million refills on their pickles. Their pickles are AMAZING, they have bagels, latkes, eggs, sandwiches, spreads, the best chicken soup (made with love), and their desserts are delicious. They even support local businesses and authors by selling items in their store and having little change collection bins (tzedakah boxes). Even prices are reasonable, especially considering inflation. You won't be disappointed by eating here!

Vegetarian options: Eggs, sandwiches, soups, salads, pancakes, wraps, all the typical deli-style options.

Dietary restrictions: They were very good about helping a friend of mine who just had surgery, with a list of "not allowed foods" figure out what she could eat!

“Amazing food, fettuccine Alfredo was amazing! Smaller portions but eat slow enjoy it. It's actually more than enough. I beg of you to get their cheese cake. The most amazing flavor you'll ever have. My husband and I shared it. It's not slices, it's a whole small cake with caramel drizzled around the plate and I don't know maybe a crunchy brown sugar on top that was been fire flamed caramelized texture .. with strawberry slices and a whipping cream on the sides. It would've been unbecoming to lick the plate so we acted civilized. Good lord..it was amazing! Our waiter was kind and funny. We met the owner, amazing guy. Planning on taking my father here when he comes up from Florida. You won't regret this place. I saw it had four stars and that is so incorrect. This place is most definitely a 5 star restaurant by far if you're looking for areal Italian authentic taste that goes above your expectations. For two people 3 course meal our bill was under 50.00 dollars we expected our bill to be 100.00 but was actually 48.00. now we didn't buy wine etc so of course that can be pricer but we're not into alcohol but I did see people enjoying it with their meal. We sat outside and they had heaters to keep you warm and cozy. Just loved this place can't speaking anymore highly of them and what they've created.God bless you and can't wait to dine again and bring our family to enjoy as well. My father's wife is Italian so she's just going to love it. Thank you for the experience!“

i have a nut allergy (tree nuts) and this is a safe place for me to eat. they recently added pecans to the menu but because they’re in the salads (same with wendy’s) i’ve never had an issue and have eaten here a ton.

i recommend the new garlic bacon mac & cheese and the chicken parmesan those are my favorites. if you’re craving noodles, stop by. be sure to tip the incredible staff! <3“

“Loved everything about it except the music level. It was way too loud, especially for lunch time and made conversation difficult. The hostess turned it down a tiny bit when we asked, but said that corporate requires them to have it at that level. It is ridiculous, because people get together for good food and conversation. The volume was such it was difficult to hear the person on the other side of the booth. I understand background music, but this wasn't that.“
