We chose our donuts and she put in extra, we were like no it’s ok. So we left her a tip in her tip jar and she looked surprised and so grateful she Putin extra we were like no it’s ok that is for your service.
The donuts were fresh and delicious. Kids loved them as well.

“Portage Grounds is my favorite local coffee shop! The staff are awesome, the coffee is great, and the shop itself is welcoming. They have a cozy couch spot by the fireplace, individual window stools if you prefer to work solo, and even a conference room if you want to hang with a group. Cute little outdoor patio as well. Great location. Can't speak on the food as I've never eaten there.

Parking: Parking is difficult here simply because it's on Irving Park next to the park and the gym. Sometimes you can find a spot but often the closest option is illegal/flasher parking, or over a block away“

“I get decaf coffee almost every day and it's wonderful every morning. But at night forget it. Usually I thrown it out because you can't drink it's so bad. Even when I complain and give it back they don't make a new pot of decaf, they give me the same coffee diluted. Didn't they taste the coffee??? It is several hours old and it tastes bad. Good for day workers, Yuck for the evening workers. Tell them if decaf coffee sits for hours, make a new coffee.“

“Their are four people. 2 younger ladies and 2 younger men that work morning shift. They are awesome. Makes you want to keep going there. They do get busy. But they all got this.
