“My family has been regular customers since 1999. We haven't had any problems. The food is wonderful and ALWAYS made fresh. The owner is so kind and sweet. Always welcomes us into her restaurant. We do carry out, but you can eat in the small dining area. Very delicious place to go !!!!“

Is your food going to be cold sometimes? Yeah. It's a buffet run by, what looks like, mostly a family. They're not going to be pumping out fresh entrees every half hour.

The classic vibe is all there. A booth for cleaning supplies, because can you even trust a buffet where you don't see a wash pail out and about? A booth reserved for the kids of the owner/worker on duty? Absolutely, and they're polite. Pizza, onion rings, and French fries? You bet your sugar buns. Tajin on the table? Absolutely, this isn't Darien.

Honey Chicken, Weirdly Sweet Crab Rangoons, Crayfish.. just all the classics and don't forget the Jello cubes.

The orange, general tso, sesame, etc chicken dishes have been hit or miss last few times we ordered...

Sometimes VERY good, sometimes NOT so good, chicken goes from tender fried to VERY hard, like OVER fried, cannot even chew, BUT such is life!! The other food is good enough so consistently, that they get it right MOST of the time but honestly, got to say on chicken dishes they're batting 50/50 when we order (and we DO order from them, A LOT & for 30 years now)!!“

“Lao Sichuan has the most authentic and consistently amazing Chinese food to be found anywhere in the U.S. Having spent some time living in China while I was in undergrad, there are certain flavors that I crave, which your run of the mill American style Chinese restaurant will not have. My wife and I live in St Charles and make the 1 hour 20 minute round trip at least once a week to get our fix. The food is that good. The owner is seemingly always there, and obviously genuinely cares about ensuring quality in what is served every time. Our favorites are Chengdu Style King Pao Chicken, Ma Po Tofu, Beef in Pure Cumin Powder, Toothpicks Lamb, and the Xiao Long Bao. I cannot for the life of me fathom how this restaurant does not have a higher rating. It is the best. Try it. You won't regret it.“

“Quite honestly one of the most pleasant experiences I've had dining in. The dining room is very calm and nice, it's exactly as pictured in the reviews and they had great 90s grunge music playing too, that and the lucky cat statue were my favorite parts :). Aside from my favorite kind of atmosphere the people were so polite and kind. The service was amazing, when I let them know my allergies they made it very easy and simple. They brought out the food fairly fast too with really good sauces and everything was hot and delicious. I highly recommend the bbq pork fried rice and the eggroll. First time here and I will definitely be back soon :)“

“This place is located at a Chinese supermarket food court yet they offer great Taiwan food. I brought my Taiwanese friend here once, now she is willing to drive back just to have meal here. We ordered the stinky tofu, tofu is very flavorful. The veggie pot is so delicious that I saw from someone else sitting there and I could not help but to ask the name of the dish.“

“The incense in the restaurant is very nice. I ordered shrimp egg roll (crispy) and potstickers. I can tell the egg rolls are homemade, and you'd be surprised how.manu places don't make them from scratch. The pot stickers are delicious and homemade as well. I was a tiny bit unhappy that my order wasn't ready when I got there, but the online ordering platform scheduled it for their exact opening time, so I'm going to give them a pass on that. “Delicious food and great service. We had crab rangoon, pot stickers, spring rolls, cashew chicken, and beef broccoli. The crab rangoon were small, but there was ten of them, and the breading was light and crispy. The pot stickers were large, the cashew chicken, add a delicious sauce with pea pods. The beef with broccoli had plenty of beef and the sauce was delicious. Fed three adults and two teens with leftovers.“

Parking: Hundreds of spots, as it shares a lot with jewel/other businesses.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is very few handicapped parking spots, and there is a curb to get in, that would make it difficult to get in without walking all the way around.“

“I've been going to Mason Wok for years now. Their egg rolls, crab rangoons, and fried rice are to die for. I've never had anything better yet. It's a shame they got rid of the crab rangoons from their lunch special though. Their orange chicken is very good as well when it's fresh but it can be a bit overcooked from time to time. “My wife and I went here tonight, and I am happy to say that my relatively low expectations for a Chinese buffet were exceeded!

It was a lot of the kinds of dishes you'd expect, the classic American-Chinese dishes like General Tso's chicken and Mongolian beef. However - unlike a lot of places, some of the dishes had pretty decent spice! Everything was pretty tasty and reasonably fresh, and they even had a few things I would not expect the locals in this area to care for (like spicy octopus).

My wife has spent some time in China teaching, and mentioned that aside from the flavors being a bit Americanized, was pretty comparable to the breakfast buffet at the university she was teaching at. (Obviously, no breakfast dishes like congee though...)

All in all, we thought it was a good value for the quality of the food. We will be back, and were sorry we waited as long as we did to check it out.“
