“An excellent Chinese BBQ place run by a very friendly and knowledgeable couple. They really know the art of BBQ and everything is cooked and prepared to perfection. The BBQ chef there had been around for at least a decade back from before the current owners took over the shop.
The prices are very reasonable and the taste authentic. The best part is buying BBQ from here saves me the time and hassle of going to Chinatown.“

“This Hwang Soh grill is absolutely amazing! The beef intestines are fresh, flavorful, and perfectly grilled — crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Portions are generous, so you definitely won’t leave hungry. The service is outstanding — attentive, friendly, and detail-oriented. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Korean BBQ!“

“I’ve been to Smoke Daddy multiple times now and everything I get is amazing (I’ve had about 6 different food menu items now - each awesome). I’m particularly writing this review because they saved our 4th of July friend get together. The service, food and atmosphere make this one of our favorite places in the city.“

“This place is great--a family fave of ours for special occasions. The food is always a hit, the vibe super cozy--especially when it's otherwise freaking cold 9 months out of the year in these parts--and the staff is seasoned and excellent. Also good for takeout and delivery when you don't feel like cooking.“

“I live in Mt. Prospect and would definitely make the drive to return here. Service was quick + friendly. It was fun to try the different brews. I'm usually a stout lover but was enjoying the sours a bunch. Food was tasty. I enjoyed the chill atmosphere. And everything was reasonably priced.“

“It was my first time dining at this restaurant, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with their delicious BBQ ribs and mouthwatering cornbread. In fact, I would say that their BBQ ribs are the best I’ve ever had in Chicago. I’m already planning to return to try their other BBQ dishes and side dishes as well!“

“Bluegrass Restaurant is a wonderful, family-owned restaurant. We have been ordering takeout and eating in since we came to Highland Park three years ago. The owners take pride in managing the restaurant on a daily basis. They prioritize customer service, great food, and a warm, welcoming experience. Last night, they hosted the Highland Park/Highwood Professional Moms group. We had only expected 15 women to attend, but 25 women ended up coming. The owners and the staff were AMAZING. They brought over additional chairs. They provided us with top-notch service, including separate checks. They respected us when we were speaking to the group and quietly took orders in the background. I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant.“

“City Barbeque food never disappoints. We drove all the way up here just to get good food. We miss the one they use to have in downers grove and in Berwyn. The pulled pork sandwich is always great paired with some mac and cheese and cornbread. Definitely coming back to this location. The inside is very nice and the employees are very helpful.“

“There’s lots of options to choose from (more on the sweeter side). Heads up, this is a grab and go bakery, therefore, there is no indoor seating (only a bar to stand at outside). They will also not heat up the pastries :/

It did not really taste like it had chocolate… it was still delicious, but it tasted more like an apples strudel and banana bread mix—yummy but not chocolate babka lol
The smoked ham brown grainy mustard + Gruyère croissant ($7.50) ⭐️2/5
This didn’t hit it for me :/ If you know you love gruyère cheese, then I say give it a go, if you’re unsure, probably try something else?

“So glad I noticed it walking by and came back with my husband for dinner. The menu has lots of choices but we were only two so will have to check out different options next time. We each had dinners, he choosing 1/2 baby back ribs, Mac and cheese, cornbread. I had 1/2 slab brisket, Mac and cheese and collard greens. Side portions were generous and the collard greens were fantastic! Mac and cheese was terrific and the meats were just perfect. Service was great and price was just as great. Washed it all down with classic Margaritas. Great addition to neighborhood in same spot Fat Willy’s left when closed for good.“

“Awesome spot. We called ahead and ordered the party platter for our Super Bowl party. Transaction was smooth, confirmed the pick up time and they dropped the food in the car no hassle. Food was amazing! Brisket, two types of ribs, pulled pork, beans, mac and cheese, and coleslaw! Awesome food texas smoker style! Gonna come back again for sure soon!“

“We had an excellent dining experience at Ya Hala restaurant.
The mixed grill was flavorful and perfectly cooked,
And the real star of the meal was the eggplant fatteh ( try to order it in advance it’s freshly cooked) . The combination of flavors was simply outstanding, making it a dish I would highly recommend to anyone , homemade quality !“
