“Folks, this is the real deal. All the food was great. I'm pretty sure the chef is Japanese. I say so because they have authentic items like Nira Tama and Kampyou Maki (both fabulous, by the way) that you won't see on the menu at other places. They also had Iichiko (wheat shouchu (think vodka)), and they were happy to make me an oolong wari. Loved it!“

“I’ve been here twice for lunch and dinner. Both times the fish was perfect. Nigiri and Sashimi that is top of its class (fresh, large portions, perfectly prepared). This is one of the best sushi spots in Chicago and the prices are more reasonable than everywhere else (local or in the city). The Nigiri/Sashimi lunch is only $16 and very large. I had 12 different cuts of fish for dinner. I will definitely be back. Great food, great service, well done! Highly recommended.“

“Absolutely fantastic! I ordered the Kaiseki Bento with Salmon, and it was a feast! The grilled salmon was perfectly cooked—crispy skin with tender, flaky meat. The bento came with miso soup, fresh salad, delicious gyoza, tempura that was light and crispy, and a few California rolls that rounded out the meal beautifully. Great presentation and flavor. Sushi EN has definitely become my new go-to for Japanese lunch and dinner specials!“

Wheelchair accessibility: The two sets of doors into the restaurant are not automatic, but the restaurant is very wheelchair accessible otherwise, and parking in the garage below, you're able to take an elevator up easily.“

“The food is amazing! Love the all you can eat setup where they bring you your broth, meat and seafood then you go to the buffet tables and get all the veggies, noodles, and sauces you want. This way you don't have to commit to a large quantity of just a few vegetables. I like it because I don't like mushrooms but my partner loves them so he can get a many as he wants and I can get extra lotus root instead. This is our new favorite place to get hotpot and we will definitely be back to try all the different broths, meats and seafood.“

“I have been coming to Moonsun 15+ years, watching it change ownership a few different times. The current owners are absolutely the best. They're so sweet, attentive to their customers, they hire great servers, and the QUALITY of the food is amazing every single time. We almost exclusively order sushi, though we have tried other things such as their fried rice, Pad Thai, and chicken dishes. While I don't love those dishes AS much, the sushi is 100% the best quality and taste. I used to live in the city and tried some very high end sushi spots and Moonsun would compete with them or, even, surpass them! I cannot express how fresh and high quality everything is, the rice to maki ratio is perfect, and the sushi rice itself is perfect. It's light, never clumpy, just the right flavor.

Some of my favorite rolls: Lemon Salmon, Lobster Mango, Brandy's, Jenny's, Chicago Fire, the Super Scallop, the Futo. It really doesn't matter, to be honest, they're all delicious.

I highly recommend Moonsun -- it's the best sushi in the area, hands down.“

“First time trying Nobori, and I must say the Sushi was amazing. The owner Nobori was kind, friendly, and attentive. To start, we ordered edamame, and miso soup. One of the best miso soups I've had. Edamame was streaming hot, and yummy. We ordered Ramen miso soup, which was really tasty. For sushi we ordered, the Patrick roll, Galapagos roll, and sushi/sashimi combo that comes with spicy tuna rolls. For dessert we ordered green tea ice cream. All the rolls were phenomenal. I never thought I would find such tasty cutlassfish in Chicago. Having lived near the ocean in Korea before moving to this landlocked city, I've had a hard time finding food that reminds me of home. First of all, I hope this house stays in Chicago for a long time!! I had braised cutlassfish and salted fish, and the braised cutlassfish was particularly delicious. The altang was delicious too! I never expected to eat such delicious cutlassfish in Chicago... Thank you so much! Miso Ramen and Taiwan Ramen are fantastic, but beware that single pepper icon, because it’s no joke! (And I say this as someone who grew up eating spicy food 🙂) Delicious, but intense! I would LOVE to see a milder version of the Taiwan Ramen (or at least a way to adjust the heat, like the Spicy Miso), because the flavor was truly amazing and addictive.“

“The widest selection of Sushi grade seafood Ive seen on a menu in a Long time- all very fresh and very generously portioned! Octopus and salmon Sashimi were the dessert orders from our kids 😂 We will definetly be returning, and highly recommend. Servers, Host, Owner, entire staff was extremely attentive- and to top it all they were happily and safely able to accomodate my childs severe dairy and peanut allergies (first sushi experience for him, and we Love seafood, so huge win for the whole family 🙌🏼)“
