“My friend and I stopped in at Firewater BBQ in Elmhurst on Thursday Dec. 1st for the "Granny's Lunch Box Special" which is available daily from 11AM-2PM. This was my second visit and my friend's first at Firewater. We both ordered the Angus beef brisket sandwich with a side of 3 cheese Mac & Cheese and a soda. The brisket (smoked for 22 hrs) is amazingly tender and flavorful. It was piled high on a toasted brioche bun and is served with your choice of sweet or spicy BBQ sauce or both if you like. The Mac & Cheese is sooo silky-smooth and creamy and compliments the brisket quite well. There are complimentary pickled jalapeños and sweet & spicy pickles available as well. My friend was so impressed by this amazing brisket that he placed another exact order to go to bring home. The cashier who also took our order was very friendly and polite. We told one of the chefs, Shawn, (pictured) that we really enjoyed the brisket and complimented his skills. My friend and I will both be returning to Firewater BBQ and we'll definitely be letting our family and friends know about this wonderful BBQ spot.“

“Stopped in yesterday for a late lunch. Small, charming, everything you want a little local spot to be. Welcoming, very nice. Sadly out of brisket at the time (honestly a good sign of really good brisket if they were sold out by 2pm) but he recommended the turkey sandwich.

I've had good smoked turkey before. But I have never had a smoked turkey sandwich this good. Flavor was absolutely on point, texture was tender and juicy. Best turkey I've had in my entire life and I've had some pretty good turkey. Fries were seasoned and fried to perfection. The white sauce was a great complement to the fries and worked well with the sandwich - didn't overpower the turkey flavor but honestly I ate most of the sandwich without sauce, it was that good.

I highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates smoked meat.“

“I had the pleasure of trying the burger, sausage, broccoli salad, fries, banana pudding, Mac and queso, and sticky pork belly—and let me tell you, every single bite was an absolute delight.

The sticky pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the sausage link was perfectly juicy and bursting with flavor. The fries were golden, crispy, and even better when paired with the tangy Texas Red and Carolina Gold sauces.

The burger and the sausage link, though, were the (tied) stars of the show. Both choices are simple and very reasonably priced. The burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever tasted. Each bite was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and incredibly satisfying. The sausage link was made with a perfectly balanced blend of ingredients that made it impossible to put down.

The Mac and queso was a standout as well—completely unique and absolutely next-level. It’s not your traditional mac n’ cheese; it’s a bold, creamy creation that left me wanting more. The broccoli salad was a refreshing surprise, with a perfectly balanced tanginess and flavor that was, quite literally, DILL-icious!

I finished off the meal with their banana pudding, which was the perfect way to end such a feast. Light, airy, and just sweet enough, it was like a cloud of dessert heaven.

“We went to firewater for their grinch brunch and it was amazing. I will absolutely do this every year now. The Grinch is hilarious and stays in character the whole time the food is delicious. There’s tons of options and you also have the option to just order off the menu. They serve bacon chicken tenders, eggs, macaroni, pancakes, French toast, cupcakes, cake, pops cookies, a different variety per table too. They have adorable drink menu for the season. My brother is deaf, and Darnell and Demetrius were patient and helpful, communicating with him directly rather than looking to me for help communicating with him. This seems like a small gesture, but it's a really big deal for us and we appreciated their kindness.“

I was on my way to church and the Devil really used this guy to try disturbing my spirit. He was being very condescending. I almost canceled my order and wanted to not get the food. Our group enjoyed a variety of dishes, including the Renegade Sirloin Steak, Ribeye Steak, Baby Back Ribs, and the 7 oz. LongHorn Salmon paired with 8 ct. Redrock Grilled Shrimp. We also had side orders of Shrimp & Lobster Chowder, Mixed Greens Salad, and Mashed Potatoes.

The steaks were perfectly cooked and incredibly succulent, satisfying every steak lover's craving.
