My meal came with 4 shrimp and prepared well, not spicy. The flavors were yum and truly can’t wait to go back. From reviews the seafood looks delicious. We will try that next time!“

As a party of two, we were placed near the bar in a high-traffic area, which, combined with the restaurant’s characteristically high noise level, made for a less intimate dining experience. Service was prompt and capable, though somewhat impersonal. Culinarily, the meal was uneven but largely successful. The walleye fish fry, a dish I had been anticipating, was merely average and carried a slightly fishy note that raised questions about freshness. In contrast, the eggplant and shrimp dishes were well executed and thoroughly enjoyable, reminding us why we return so often. Taken as a whole, this visit reflected the restaurant’s usual strengths with a few minor missteps. “This place is awesome. We had high expectation for a crab boil, and they delivered🙌. We had their daily/weekend special and some appetizers, and all came out hot, fresh and delicious😋. We enjoy every bit of our food. The crab ragoons were highly recommended by staff because they are made daily, and the best so far in this area. We came in during the weekend, so the place was busy and almost packed. Although it was busy, our server (Asian with blond hair, sorry didn’t get his name) was awesome. We had issue with our order and he corrected right away. All in all, staffs were friendly!!!

“We came to Sophia Steak for our anniversary and had a great server- Carol. She took care to help me with my dietary needs and made the meal so special. They gave us a little champagne toast and special anniversary menus. It was all the little touches that make it perfect. And then there’s the steak! Next level taste, quality and sides. “This is really a wonderful restaurant. The price point is excellent and the value for money superb. The food was really, really good, and we all enjoyed our meal. The skirt steak, the lamb chops, the beet salad and the ceviche. The poached pear is something different (not sweet at all) and the chocolate cake was very tasty. And for 10 bucks you get a really solid pour of wine (probably around 9 oz), which is just unheard of in a restaurant. Service was good and we really enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend you try this new place. They deserve to be more busy. It’s new and people need to get the word out.“

“This is our family's favorite restaurant for birthdays, anniversaries, dinners with large groups...At this point we've been here probably 10 times and never once have we had a bad experience. Every server goes above and beyond to ensure that you have a WOW experience. The food and drinks are amazing every time. Last night we decided to try somewhere new since we just ate at Primo the previous weekend. The prices were the same yet the service and food did not compare. From now on we'll stick with here, where we know we'll have an amazing experience.“

“We dined at Froggy’s on Valentine’s Day, and had a wonderful time! This was our first time ever here, even though Froggys has been here for over 40 years! The interior is warm and inviting and we were welcomed in and seated promptly. Our server Peter was terrific all night, personable, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was truly a delight! We had Beef Wellington and Chicken Cordon Blue. Both were delicious and our overall experience was really great. We highly recommend this place and we will be back!“

“We traveled quite a ways to eat here since it is considered by many to be a great old school Chicago restaurant. We went for lunch and it was very quiet inside when we arrived. My kid commented that all the songs that were playing were on her playlist so she was thrilled. She had the sweet and sour chicken and I had the Kung Pao beef. Both were really good and the portions were huge. The meals came with egg drop soup which was excellent and then we also had spring rolls which were very large and really good. Service was very good and the food was reasonably priced. I do wish they still had the old neon sign out front.“

It was the first time ordering online and I had unknownly put Wasabi in my bowl, which I had unfortunately believed to have been a bad bowl. I was able to communicate with the staff and they were so kind and were able to fix my bowl for me after coming out of work. “Thank you American Place Casino for the awesome Valintines Day comped dinner at the North Shore Steak and Seafood restaurant . The atmosphere was great. The fillet mingon was done to perfection and the South African Lobster was the best lobster I had in years! Every dish served from the start to the end ws excellent. Our server was outstanding as well. To top it off I won $250 freeplay on the hot seat drawing as well.“
