“Had a reservation and they sat us fairly close to time. We had to ask for a server after about another 5-10 minutes of sitting and waiting. Food was good, but came out staggered. The actual frustration came mostly when we were sitting around after the meal and all the dishes were left at our table for about 10 to 20 minutes, nobody picked them up. Food was good and portions were decent.“

“Delicious, flavorful & healthy food at a reasonable price. I got a bowl with purple rice, kale, broccoli, carrots, pickled onions, kimchi and Korean BBQ beef. Tried teriyaki sauce on the side and it was tasty but the veggies are all so seasoned so well that sauce wasn’t necessary and the meat was also super flavorful and marinated. Highly recommend. They list all ingredients and calories as you’re ordering so you can stay mindful! Great place.“

“Had lunch there today and I have to say this is the first time I was disappointed with the service. The food was excellent but that's it. Asked for 2nd drink and never got it. Water was never refilled until we were through eating. When first ordering our wine we had problems. I will continue to eat here and hopefully this is a one time occurrence.“

“We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at the Lake Forest location when we were in town for our daughter's U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command graduation. By far the best place we ate when we were in the Chicagoland area. I gave it a nod in my book and encourage anyone visiting Great Lakes to stop there with their sailor during liberty.“

He specifically told me he uses the finest, freshest, high quality ingredients-which is apparent when you try the food. No seed oils here either! “We stopped here as a recommendation from someone who lives there. It was obvious to me that all of their ingredients were gotten fresh. The tomatoes for their sauce are hand picked. Their sauce is excellent! The deep dish crust has a good crisp to it, we didn't feel greesy or bloated after eating it. I failed to grab the name of our waiter but he made the whole experience worth it. Great place for families and friends. It felt like home cooking.“

“My Husband and I agree that there needs to be more restaurants like the Omega. We both grew up in the area, and felt quite not only nostalgic but at home while dining today. From the moment you walk in the door until you leave, you are surrounded by a soft ambient glow, dark wood paneling, beautiful hanging lamps above each table. Please do not get me started on their bakery items, bread so good you'd swear grandma was in there kitchen whipping it up by the batch load, a dessert/sweets case that could fulfill anyone's sweetest sweet tooth desires. I had to stop myself before I bought one of everything! My husband Had the Gyro Dinner and was in love with the homemade taziki/cucumber sauce, the meat was perfectly cut right off the spit, and homemade pita bread to top it off, plus it came with a very generous portion of house salad, and a bowl of soup. I was getting full just watching him. lol I tried the Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich, it was amazing, it had loads of melted Swiss cheese and a beautifully grilled chicken breast topped with pineapple(my favorite) all on a fresh baked ciabata roll. it was fantastic! Our waitress was very lovely, super attentive and extremely patient with us, being our first time dining there. Overall I would recommend that you give the Omega a chance, it's like stepping back in time to a simpler, better time, when the food was made with love, and it shows. Thank you for the lovely experience, if we are ever up that way again, we will surely stop.“

“How crazy is this. Going to Sunset Foods I saw this sign in the window of a storefront to the West. Fortunately I found BRIGHT BOWLS owned and operated by a Highland Parker named Lindsay. I can’t describe the ambiance and wonderful products. You need to experience on your own. My favorite so far is the LoveABowl. Enjoy on site or to go. Get Bright Butter, Bright Granola and Bright Smiles. Tell the staff Larry sent you. Hmmmm“

“I can't say enough about my whole experience with the staff, accommodations and food!! I must have called 6 times changing the number of people and requesting a round table and they were so patient and accommodating. I'm sorry I don't remember the names I spoke with on the phone but they were wonderful. Our server Miguel was great, we wanted for nothing and the room we were in was outstanding. We all had an excellent time I could not have been happier!!“

The food is always a hit, the vibe super cozy--especially when it's otherwise freaking cold 9 months out of the year in these parts--and the staff is seasoned and excellent. It’s probably not somewhere I’d go to sit down and eat with friends, I don’t think it’s meant for that. But it’s a great place to go and pick up from if you’re looking for good, fresh food. I took one star away because after I got home and saw the email of my receipt I noticed it was a couple dollars more than what I was told as I was checking out. Sure enough there was a $2 tip added. Not upset about a couple extra dollars, but I would’ve appreciated the transparency and the choice to leave a tip. There was no screen that gave me an option to tip so it felt a little shady to me.
Good to note: The office building itself was easy enough to find, but there aren’t any signs to point you in the direction of the actual cafe. You have to go into the west entrance.“

“We had my sons second birthday party here and I would highly recommend to anyone who has enjoyed eating at Morettis. The catering and management team were very responsive, flexible, and excited for host our event. We had about 50 people and the staff was outstanding. Everyone loved the food. I would host again at Morettis!!!“

Mark Salmon enthusiastically and creatively arranged for my friend and I to dine outside (our request), despite the rain. We stayed dry under umbrellas and thanks to Sandra, our amazing waitress, we celebrated my birthday with fine food (impressive menu choices and food presentation) and great company! It was my first time dining at 501 Local and this restaurant met and exceeded my high standards in every way! It is a hidden gem and our new fav restaurant. Highly recommend!!“

“We’ve been going to Dempster Fish for years and years, and it’s still our absolute favorite. It’s always super fresh, very well prepared, and it’s absolutely fantastic. We drive 90 minutes round trip just to have it. Better than any of the super expensive places in the suburbs. Very highly recommend!!“
