“I had the NY strip. I don't normally leave reviews. But this was my first time at Mr. Benny's, and I truly believe it might have been the best steak I've ever had. The flavor was outstanding, and it was cooked perfectly to my specification (medium rare) and the portion was more than generous. The cut was tender with substance. The baked potato was excellent, and the green beans were a wonderful flavor and perfect texture. Highly recommend.“

“Today was my first time there. The food is delicious my kids love it but I don’t feel I had the great service. First, we didn’t get the napkins and utensils on time but way after the food got there. A drink spilled on me (our fault) which made me realized there was no napkins provided, by the time we found the lady for napkins I was soaking wet. Then we were about to start eating and my children needed a fork, well no fork was provided. We ordered 3 seafood boils, no utensils for that were provided neither. My husband ordered an extra drink, never was it brought to us. I’m happy my kids enjoyed it, but we were not that pleased as we saw others being treated differently. Not sure if we will be returning.“

“Frankie's since 1988 is hands-down, the best restaurant in the southwest Chicago suburbs. My son and I went for my birthday and there was no place I would rather go. The decor is trendy yet elegant and I really enjoyed the music that was playing. Service was quick and friendly. The signature Frankie's old-fashioned was amazing! Although the lasagna is my absolute favorite, I like to try the chef specials whenever possible, especially the seasonal ones. We had the pumpkin lasagna and the butternut squash risotto with crumbled Italian sausage.... Both were amazing! Whether it's your 20th time back or your first time here, the staff and the owner will make you feel like Family. This is truly a gem in the south suburbs. If you're reading this review to see if you want to go to Frankie‘s, don't hesitate... Just make the reservation...You won't be disappointed.“

“My husband and I dined here for our anniversary. The owner was very welcoming and down to earth as well as the staff. The food was excellent! The owner also made an announcement that it was our anniversary and played the song It's Our Anniversary. I highly recommend this establishment!!! You will not be disappointed!“

“We had a good experience while celebrating a friend's birthday. The staff adeptly managed our large group with grace and humor. The courses were well timed, the perfect temperature, aromatic and flavorful. Our only minor complaint was the 1 hour wait to be seated, and they don't take reservations. Perhaps they can offer tea to those who are waiting? As they grow, a separate prayer space would be a welcome addition.“

“Tried the Oak Park location on a Wednesday night. It was FANTASTIC! I got a pound of Alaskan King crab legs, and while they didn’t come with crab crackers, we only had a little trouble breaking the meat out. Phenomenal crab legs. They came with perfectly seasoned red potatoes and corn on the cob. My partner ordered (fried) shrimp tacos and could not stop raving about them. The shrimp was very fresh. We also ordered fresh cut fries and they were outstanding, though they could use a bit more seasoning. But extra seasoning was brought upon request. The owner, Shawn, brought out the food, was attentive to our needs, and even struck up a friendly conversation as we left. Fantastic decor/theme, friendly staff and exceptional service! 10/10, and we will definitely be back. Thank you for a great dinner! Two dinners, since I had leftovers!“

“8 Piece Buffalo Wings and Fries.... FIRE!!! Nice staff, food only took 15 minutes, and came out piping hot, crispy, and delicious. The coleslaw was a nice balance to a great buffalo sauce. Large amount of food for the price. Next time I stop in the area, would probably order the exact same thing.“

“Checked out Mariscos El Veneno in West Lawn—spent around $30 on camaron sarandeados, spicy crab, and BYOB michelada setup. Seafood flavors were solid and portions were hearty. Cozy spot with ocean-blue walls and live music—got a bit loud, but adds to the vibe. Staff brought a complimentary ceviche tostada, which was a nice touch. Overall a fun night, would totally go back.“

My first experience was to celebrate my daughter's birthday in August, the next was a birthday celebration for my sister, and God willing, I will celebrate my birthday in May. But trust, I will not wait until my birthday to go, mainly because I don't live in Illinois, but because I frequent this state, Al Bahaar is on my list of stops & I encourage family and friends to join me! “I’m from the coast and all my life I’ve loved sea food. My wife took me here for Father’s Day and I gotta tell you, it did not disappoint.
The wait was reasonable being a special day, they give you a cup of warm consome while you wait for your food. We had the veracruzana fillet, shrimp empanadas and a shrimp/octopus cocktail and the taste was just exquisite. It reminded me of my hometown“

“Ate here tonight and the food was wonderful. We had jerk turkey tips, jerk salmon and shrimp, yam, greens, cabbage, Mac and cheese and fried rice. Everything was tasty, hot, freshly made and spicy. The ladies were super friendly, helpful and provided great service. We will definitely be back to try other items. Ask about the specials that aren’t in the regular menu. Yum!“

I ordered 8 wings with mild sauce on the side and got 1 cup of mild sauce and 1 cup of hot sauce - I never asked for hot sauce so now I have 8 wings with 1 cup of sauce.“

Show they have its pretty good, the bar tender was so nice, but the hostess are horrible.
If you want a table and decided to wait at the bar they don't give you a table at all, but we had a great night at the bar.“

“Haven't been here in quite a while, but thought I'd stop in and get a king jalapeno and bacon Philly steak sandwich with a blooming onion the food was great but I don't think I would get the bacon in the Philly cheese steak as it seemed a bit too salty for me. The service was quick and friendly even though it was very busy at around 4:00 p.m. when I stopped in. Would recommend this place as it has a large menu of different foods to order from.“
