“Ramen noodle restaurant in fashion outlet mall of Chicago. Food was ok. I asked for spicy and it was truly spicy. Egg was not fully cooked. Service was decent and fast. Prices were high, maybe because it's the fancy mall, but I think it is overpriced compared to the food. Food court was noisy.“

“My girlfriend and I recently visited. The atmosphere was amazing and the food was really good, it reminded me of visiting my family in japan, who I have been missing a lot recently. I did find the 20% service charge a bit surprising. I did not see any signage for it or any notice on the menu. I was unsure if it was meant to take place of a tip. I also found it a bit odd that the wait staff would speak to me in Japanese, however, around my girlfriend (who was also using japanese and ordering from the japanese menu), they would speak in English only.“

The menu has several delicious options. We chose some sushi rolls, a tonkatsu dinner, and with a tempura appetizer. Everything was delicious…everything. The shrimp was cooked to perfection in the tempura, the sushi was excellent, and the tonkatsu entree reminded me of traveling through Japan. The whole experience reminded me of Japan. I felt like I had shifted locations for an hour as we sat in their cozy dining room brimming with Japanese decor.

“We were so excited to have found this new place for yummy sushi poke bowl! We adore that modernized look of the restaurant and there are a lot of variety of poke bowls to choose from. My boys like the mushroom and California rolls sushi while I enjoyed the spicy hot fish poke bowl a lot. The staff and owner were super friendly and nice. The place was stylish, neat and clean. I've been coming to this Teriyaki Madness location with my coworkers for about two years, and it's always been one of our go-to lunch spots. My previous visit was disappointing due to burnt orange chicken and a very small portion of meat, so I left an honest review with photos.

Shortly afterward, Nik Patel responded, apologized, acknowledged the mistake, and invited me to contact the manager, Killian, so they could make it right. I stopped back in today, and they absolutely did. My replacement meal was fresh, properly prepared, generously portioned, and exactly what I've come to expect from this location. More importantly, everyone was friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about making things right.

Mistakes happen at every restaurant. What really matters is how a business responds, and this team handled it the right way. I have tried their takoyaki multiple times. I feel it’s a hit-or-miss. Sometimes they are fresh, other times, they are a bit stale. But I still order them.

The same goes for their chicken skin skewers - they could also be a hit-or-miss.

Overall, whenever I visit Mitsuwa, I always order from Toritetsu. :)“

“best sushi in the chicagoland area for me! this little stall inside Hmart Niles’ food court is such a hidden gem. my husband and i actually come here once a week now, it’s officially become our comfort-food spot. i’m not a raw-sushi person at all, but they have amazing cooked options. i'm obsessed with the salmon yaki roll. seriously, it’s that good, always fresh and consistent.

we chatted with the owner once, and he told us he even makes the wasabi from scratch. the wasabi alone deserves an award, so flavorful, not the harsh store-bought kind. the owner is almost always there, making the sushi himself and running things with such a friendly vibe. he truly deserves recognition. this is literally the only sushi my stomach can tolerate, so that says a lot.

and it’s not just the sushi. their entrées are unforgettable too. my husband swears by the chicken katsu: crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and the portion/price is super fair.
