“Just had myself a Dogfather Hot Dog for Wiener Wednesday and I was impressed! I love the fact all the Chicago Style toppings are diced up on the dog instead of having individual tomato slices, pickle spears and sport peppers. It made it easier to eat and the diced up sport peppers really added a nice spicy kick to the dog. The hot dog itself was waaaaay bigger than I am used to. You are definitely getting a great deal on Wiener Wednesday! Overall, service was great and food came out quickly! I will definitely return!“

“Very good hot dogs and fries for a fair price. As usual it’s always best to go during peak business hours for the freshest dogs. You’ll get a dog wrapped with a decent amount of fries. Fries a fresh cut and salted. I was apprehensive about the pizza but I tried it with a combo and the sausage pizza was very good too. Food will be ready quick, either eat there or grab and go.“

“AMAZING! I’m slightly shocked by the fact that besides it’s in a smaller town, there’s not many people at all! I think I was the first customer of the day around lunch time. But I highly recommend instead of going to spend your money at some fast food chain, pay the extra $1 or $2 to come here. The burger was amazing for such a small non franchised fast food restaurant. The burger tasted real first of all, and the jalapeños were really good. The buns were toasted to perfection with a bit of a crust, and the fries.. just wow. They have good texture and they taste really good. Not too salty but not too unsalted. People really need to come here more and support this small business because they are genuinely missing out on a nice date spot or just a Friday night burger joint. I see they have more items but I haven’t tried them but will be back to update when I come again. Perfect distance from my school near DPA airport also“

A mini beef ordered today tasted like a bread sandwich.
Mike better get some consistency with his serving sizes.
You piss off customers when you skimp on the sandwich.

“Listen, it's still a far cry from DP's original vision of Chicago street food. While I'd like to complement them on menu expansion and "franchise expansion" they are trying to rush a simple formula tried and true. It seems now more than ever, that they are more concerned with trinket expansion than food improvement. Service is still slow, which I could accept, if the food was still on point. Crisp fries are now soggy, orders are repeadly not right, and overall experience is missing the mark. I have hope, and still recommend Portillos to OUT visitors. That said, they can do better.“

“Is everything you want in a Chicago beef shack. The restaurant is clean and inviting with plenty of parking in the strip mall. I've had their beef before with catering and it's excellent, but this visit was the Chicago dog. It was perfect. Double dogs for a dollar. It's one of the better hot dogs in the area. The bun held up the entire time, even with two dogs and all the toppings. And it might sound silly, but the place has really good napkins. They are thick and stand up to the food that doesn't fall apart. Just saying. Don't miss Tuesdays with one dollar hot dogs. Definitely recommend. Also the fries and the combo are legit way better than portillos“
