“Service is still great … but when closed then reopened, the quality of the food is now NOTICEABLY DIFFERENT (worse). Different chef, perhaps? Not sure what I mentioned it because I always order the same thing chicken with black bean and garlic sauce. The last two times I ordered it after they reopened they used dark meat and it was always always always white meat chicken. Also, the sauce is different. Something’s changed, but I’m just not sure what. It’s still my favorite Chinese restaurant in the south suburbs but they can do better. I say that because they’ve been better.“

“Some of the best Chinese food in the South Suburbs. Prices are comparable to other places. Portion sizes are good. Only small complaint is sometimes their inconsistent with how they prepare something. For example the broccoli and garlic sauce - I've had it before where the sauce is very thick and the broccoli broccoli was a little mushy but for the most part they always get it right. I pretty much always order it through a delivery app and the food still comes hot. Egg rolls are good and crisp. Sesame chicken is nice, slight sweetness with a little heat. Fried rice is flavorful.“

I used to go to Hoe Toy on Stony Island but the original owners sold it I believe and the food wasn't the same. I found out about Grand Chinese and now they are my go to spot for Chinese food.“

“I ordered a small veggie fried rice. It was good but the container is SUPER small and the price is a bit high $10.50. I know groceries prices are outrageous but rice, 🥕 and 🍄 are still pretty cheap. Green peppers are on the expensive side if not on sale but there wasn't enough peppers to justify the cost. Thats my opinion.“

I started working a new job a few doors down from this restaurant when I realized they were actually opened. Otherwise, the food is usually pretty good. The staff is relatively friendly, but they seem to be a big hurry most of the time. “kams is really a small place with a big reputation. i drive 50 mins every few days to get their combination lo mein noodles. panda express or other chinese restaurants cannot compare to them. It is always busy and the kitchen is clean. The food is great. I love the variety. The egg rolls are delicious and everything is fresh. I have never had a problem with the food or the staff. Their parking lot is not big but now they have their own reserved parking . It is in the heart of beautiful Chatham You will not be disappointed. Also they have the best chicken wings.“

“Sun Sun had good food. It is authentic ma and pop Chinese food. They have average prices. I usually good during lunch to get the lunch specials. The egg food young is really good. They also have pretty good egg rolls.

Parking: Parking is plentiful. Sun Sun is located in strip mall.“

“My husband and I just found out about this place. We love it! As with a buffet, there are some things you like, and some things you don't. You just do the best you can. As far as the food being cold, that can happen at any buffet. I know to go to the bottom where all the heat is. I always see them checking the food, stirring it, and replenishing it. There is always someone there checking to see if you need anything and taking your finished plates. They have been very nice to us. As far as the paper plates and plastic ware, that's a Covid precaution. There's a Buffet that I go to in Merriville that does the same thing. I don't mind! We usually go to China Buffet for lunch. I'm just going to make sure that I don't go to close to closing time. Oh yeah! They have the most delicious soft drinks ever.“
