“We love historic eats and locally owned mom and pop joints like this one. Places like these are the backbone of what makes our country great. Cozy Dog Drive In had been on our must try list for a while, and we’re so glad we finally made it. After all, how could we pass up the chance to try “the original hot dog on a stick”?
The place was buzzing with activity when we arrived. We lucked out and snagged the last available booth during the lunch rush. We ordered the Cozy Basket, which comes with four Cozy Dogs and a generous family-size serving of fries. Our total was $17.58 – Pro tip: They give you a 3% discount if you pay with cash.
What makes this place special is that they still use the original batter recipe developed by the founder back in 1946. The difference between a corn dog and a Cozy Dog? These are made fresh to order! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with just a hint of sweetness in the breading—absolutely delicious. The fries were just as tasty.
All in all, it was a true All-American meal in a nostalgic, one-of-a-kind setting. Definitely worth the stop!“

“I had a host of family come visit from out of town. I ordered 50 piece wings from California Kitchen, it came with fries and 2 cans of pop. I was told 15 minutes for pick up and did not check the food prior to leaving. The chicken was fried very hard and wasn't good. I didn't call until the next morning and spoke to a manager. The manager was pleasant and very understanding. I was able to bring back the chicken from the previous day and recieved a full new 50 piece meal for my visiting family. He even asked if I wanted to keep the order that was messed up. Amazing customer service and the food was really good. I would always order from them, they really know how to treat their customers!! The new location is great too!.“

The shop was so clean, and tastefully designed, the staff was all super friendly, and the subs, though they appear a little smaller than other competitors, and a bit more expensive were totally worth it. Parking: Not only is there plenty of parking, they have a drive-thru and you can have service delivered to your car with a menu board right at the parking space.

Wheelchair accessibility: You don't even have to get out of your car and if you do there's absolutely no stairs to have to climb. All you have to do is find a menu board and push the button and somebody come right out to you.“

“They were testing the fire alarms but the staff didn't bother telling patrons that it was a test until after it was going off for a while. My granddaughters were terrified and were not able to eat the rest of their meal. They were traumatized by it. PLUS they didn't have sweet tea.“

“We love Gyro Stop. The food never disappoints and the staff is great. But if you close at a certain time, that should mean you close at that time. I tried to call in an order 45 minutes before close, which I think is reasonable. I got a recording that said they prefer online orders. Great! So do I. Nope. They stop taking those an hour before close. Called again and the recording gave me the options and I selected to speak to someone to place an order and was placed on hold. After a minute or so, I was told they couldn't take my call and to try again in 5-10 minutes. I decided to just go in and place it. Nope. Door was locked 30 minutes before close. I'm sorry but this is unacceptable. I've worked in the service industry so I am very understanding of the employees' time but if you say you're open until 7 (this was a Saturday), then stay open until 7.“
