Every meal of Filet Mignon combination Golden Shrimp with a side order of Golden Shrimp has been perfect and the same for 17 years! I am glad you both get to rest and relax after the New Year!!!! Good wine list and extensive menu. We would go more often if it wasn’t so pricey but it’s our go-to spot for special occasions.“

“We love coming here, this time we were greeted and served by Shelly B. She was fantastic and so was our food. We ordered the chicken fajitas (actually came to us sizzling!) and they were on point for flavor. We also ordered the steak quesadilla which was also delicious.“

“Deserves more than 5 stars. Emily S is one of the best servers we've ever had. She remembered that I didn't like mustard from a previous visit several months before. She remembered the sides and drinks I liked from previous visits and made recommendations accordingly. She's been friendly and outgoing each time she has been our server. We always ask to be seated at one of her tables. Tonight we had the Goat Cheese Wontons, the Whiskey Shrimp and the Bison Filet. My husband had already made up his mind to NOT like the wontons, but after I forced him to try a bite anyway, he proceeded to continue to eat two more. We've never been disappointed in the food, the atmosphere or the service and will continue to go back. The Shanty has become one of our favorite places.“

“We have been searching for decent “Chinese” food since moving to mchenry 8 months ago and NOTHING in the area was even close to being good. This was the first time I’ve had it since moving and I can FINALLY say we found the place. The egg rolls were so good, which is usually my biggest test on a place! The beef egg food young was also great, no big chunks of onions either. It was a good portion of ingredients, and the flavor was spot on. My husband had the chicken fried rice and orange chicken and he said it was really good - he usually says “it was fine” whenever we get Chinese, so this is a big compliment coming from him. The service getting the food was quick and still warm when we got it. I do remember coming here years ago, and remember it being really a great atmosphere and really good. So luckily with Uber Eats, we were able to have it delivered. I am thrilled to say I FINALLY found my go to spot!!!!“

“We live in the NW suburbs. This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the area. The pho has a heady aroma and other dishes I've had there were excellent. To get as good, you have to go into Chicago, and even there, few are any better.“

My husband had a fish filet stuffed with shrimp and cheese. The service was great, the food outstanding, and the atmosphere was fun.We will return.“

“I came here for my moms birthday, and I have no regrets. The food was very delightful and tasty. I had their truffle cheese stuffed ravioli, and it was amazing. I'm very excited to see what else they have to offer.The waiter helping us was of very kind by suggesting my mom a wine without much history with wine. She is a people pleaser and admitted she wasn't the biggest fan, but the ability to offer one's experience to assist was great nonetheless.“

“The atmosphere for New Year's Eve was lively and loud to be sure. Entering through a back door into a narrow space was odd and not the most welcoming set-up, especially having parked on the street along Milwaukee Ave. The dining area was comfortable, aside from a couple guests who were loud and could be heard from several tables away. Service was good and pleasant though robotic and somewhat forced. The gentleman refilling water was superb and always on his game! We never had less than half a glass full---much appreciated! We came to Chrissoulas, having read excellent reviews. The food was good, including the pasta with chorizo and octopus and gyro. The pork medallions were only three, however, with a whole lot of salad, leaving one guest in our party inadequately full and value for the money poor. Menu options were overpriced in general though not outrageous. Two televisions playing sports over the bar did not seem in keeping with a fine dining establishment, but rather with a sports bar. Overall Chrissoulas was a decent experience with good food but not deserving of the amazing reviews seen elsewhere---a solid 3-4 stars out of 5.“

“I came for the first time on a Thursday with my boyfriend! The waitress was super friendly and had a good attitude. The food 10/10. We ordered the fried mojarra, deviled shrimp, and the small tray of crab legs. Instead of rice I ordered pure salad and avocado with the mojarra. Everything is very rich. The drinks are also super delicious. I recommend!!!“

“Took way to long to get food. All o ordered was wings and fries. Once the wings finally came out, they were delicious seasoned very well and crispy. Then I ordered wings to go and 1 our later I still didn't have my order. The bartender said the kitchen already brought them out. I don't know who they gave my order too but it wasn't me. So then I had to wait another 20 min.“

We tried their chicken nuggets and fries, the clams sandwich, the clam chowder (it was a bit thin but stilll good, the bread pudding dessert (this was yummy). This place offers quick service, is close to the interstate, limited seating. Would highly recommend this restaurant .“

“Our family of 4 , 2 adults and 2 young children went for lunch, and we all loved it !!! The service was fantastic, and our server was excellent ! The food was fresh , very tasty and presented very well. I think we were all actually suprised just how much we liked it , it was that good!!!. The salad was one of the best I've ever had , and they offer small and large options for them which is great. The soup was so flavorful and filled with chicken. My husbands wrap was delicious, and the fries were very good as well. We decided to try there banana bread pudding to go and we enjoyed it very much even after warming it up later!! It was a great experience that left us talking about what we will order next time. This is a great spot and we hope it's here to stay !!Kid-friendliness: They offer free kids meals on Tuesdays with the purchase of an adult meal ! For three people it was $88 and that included the food I ordered to go home! We have a ton of leftovers. Really an enjoyable experience.“
