I just put the pork belly in my airfryer and it’s like it just came out fresh from the fryer so crispy and good meat to fat ratio. So convenient for lazy days when you don’t want to cook and the price is decent. The lady that served me was really nice! Will definitely come back when I’m in the area.“

“Today was my first time there. The food is delicious my kids love it but I don’t feel I had the great service. First, we didn’t get the napkins and utensils on time but way after the food got there. A drink spilled on me (our fault) which made me realized there was no napkins provided, by the time we found the lady for napkins I was soaking wet. Then we were about to start eating and my children needed a fork, well no fork was provided. We ordered 3 seafood boils, no utensils for that were provided neither. My husband ordered an extra drink, never was it brought to us. I’m happy my kids enjoyed it, but we were not that pleased as we saw others being treated differently. Not sure if we will be returning.“

“Tried the Oak Park location on a Wednesday night. It was FANTASTIC! I got a pound of Alaskan King crab legs, and while they didn’t come with crab crackers, we only had a little trouble breaking the meat out. Phenomenal crab legs. They came with perfectly seasoned red potatoes and corn on the cob. My partner ordered (fried) shrimp tacos and could not stop raving about them. The shrimp was very fresh. We also ordered fresh cut fries and they were outstanding, though they could use a bit more seasoning. But extra seasoning was brought upon request. The owner, Shawn, brought out the food, was attentive to our needs, and even struck up a friendly conversation as we left. Fantastic decor/theme, friendly staff and exceptional service! 10/10, and we will definitely be back. Thank you for a great dinner! Two dinners, since I had leftovers!“

I came before they were closing and he took care of me , I absolutely love JJ Fish & Chicken! Every time I go, I order the chicken tenders, and they are always fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned. It’s hard to find a spot that consistently delivers great food and service, but JJ Fish & Chicken nails it every time. New places can pop up however memorable moments was this place and this is why I go and support. Good times fun times. I look forward to some updates with their decor that’s all. “Food and service were fantastic. We were thrilled to find this place open after 11PM. Our flight was late, and my coworker and I had to drive two hours before arriving at our hotel. Starving and desperate, we found this food joint about to close but they graciously let us eat inside, serving us the best food ever!

The staff didn't rush us or even hint at kicking us out like they do in NY or NJ. The food was absolutely delicious. I got the King Nachos, and my coworker got the fried catfish. Plus, two iced teas for a total of $36. A fair price for a meal that saved us from gnawing on the hotel’s pillows!

Now, the area is a bit sketchy. We, the only two people in business suits, definitely stood out like sore thumbs. Lol. After we finished, the staff politely closed up shop. Thanks again, folks, for the great service!

“Haven't been here in quite a while, but thought I'd stop in and get a king jalapeno and bacon Philly steak sandwich with a blooming onion the food was great but I don't think I would get the bacon in the Philly cheese steak as it seemed a bit too salty for me. The service was quick and friendly even though it was very busy at around 4:00 p.m. when I stopped in. Would recommend this place as it has a large menu of different foods to order from.“

“My family has been going to this establishment for the last 40 years. It has changed visually on the interior. There are more younger people servicing the counter. It’s a plus and often can be off setting to many. The owner explained that hiring well trained people on the frontline is difficult because of the increase in hourly wages that Chicago now must meet according to the mayor of the city. During Covid this along with many business suffered. The interior changed somewhat and at times it appears very quiet. When getting food to go always express your preference. If you love the hard core crusty type of fish you want cooked. Say that. Me personally I never ever thought that was a good idea Imo. I detest hard fried anything. So if you want it hard cooked Tell them That! Don’t complain without inputting your desires. Now as for the quality of fish. It is Excellent!! Hands down. I always get my fish or seafood raw. I cook it myself cause I know how I like it cooked. This imo is one of the best places to get fish especially fresh catfish in the city…. I wish I knew the supplier so I could thank them personally. So go there it’s worth it. DiColas is perfect fresh fish shopping.
