“Just had eggs and house potatoes so I can't opine on the food overall except to say the potatoes were so hard and dry I didn't even finish, and potatoes in their various forms are usually my favorite part of breakfast.
Ambiance and service were good, though I wish the server had mentioned that you pay up front. Took us awhile to figure out he wasn't coming back to take our card“

“Tonight I decided to venture out and try this restaurant my family has been RAVING about called Al’s Cafe in Downtown Elgin! I sat upstairs and had this lovely server named Marcie! She recommended the monthly special called “Moonstruck” and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The ambience, service and food is unmatched! If you are looking for a great night out I highly recommend Al’s Cafe!“

The party menu was perfect, beautifully presented and the food was outstanding! What really set Old Republic apart was how well they accommodated our group. They helped us throw a retirement party that was personable, joyful and truly unforgettable! “The customer service is always on point. I never had a bad experience I've been coming here for years a little pricey but worth it. The horchata could be better it's always watered down not a fan of their rice either. The meat is always fresh and trimmed I never get pieces of fat. The taco salad is phenomenal.“

“We went to Woodfire for my birthday. The food and service is excellent. Vicki was our server and she was very friendly and attentive. The food is so fresh and homemade. The pizza crust is crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. There is an assortment of types of pizza, but the cheese pizza is the best I’ve ever had. The pasta is rich and delicious. It’s cooked perfectly and the vodka sauce is amazing. The appetizers, home brewed beer, and desserts are phenomenal too. Step aside Coopers Hawk, I have a new favorite restaurant!“
