“My family and I got several bowls from Koya. We loved all of the customizable toppings it offers as well as the complimentary miso soups and cookies that come with the bowls. The ingredients were fresh, and portions were pretty large. The food was very reasonably priced.“

My husband ordered the rice with beef, and while I personally didn’t love the flavor of the oil they use for the rice (I’m a little picky about that), it was still tasty and well-cooked. The restaurant is very clean, and the owners are incredibly kind and genuinely care about their customers. The egg rolls and their dipping sauce were absolutely delicious, crispy, flavorful, and freshly made! Highly recommend this place for a satisfying meal and great service.“

“We were in the area and happened to stop by here completely by chance. The place is okay. Unlike other spots where you already have “pre-assembled” ingredients for a poke bowl and just choose which one you want (so-called signature bowls), here you have to build it yourself. The poke was fine. The ingredients are fresh, and since I picked what I like, of course I enjoyed it. The place feels cozy and interesting, with lots of plants inside. My only complaint is that the low white tables are very close together, so you literally can’t move. They need to be spaced out a bit.“

What a TREAT! these folks have somehow managed to incorporate happiness as an ingredient in their food, so when you eat it, All the happiness particles travel through your body for 24 to 48 hours and you feel extremely satisfied and fulfilled. you might miss the ramen afterwards, and you might end up having dreams about it like I do but trust me, they're pleasant dreams.“

“I am not local, this is a regular go-to place for a friend, so when I visit with her, she wants to bring me. I had a Chinese Eggplant with chicken dish, flavorful and spicy. Also had some nigiri sushi, all very good. The Black Tobiko was plentiful and fresh. The Tamago and Inari, which are types of sushi that are deceptively simple seeming but really show a chef's knowledge and artistry, were excellent. I'm sure I will go again.“

The interior has a relaxing, Sunday-afternoon kind of vibe.

The ramen broth is prepared 18+ hours in advance to ensure flavor profile is maximized. There are a lot of great options for everyone of all dietary restrictions.

The banana coconut smoothie was one of the best I've had at a restaurant.

Octopus and salmon Sashimi were the dessert orders from our kids 😂 We will definetly be returning, and highly recommend. Such a delightful presentation and true to the traditional bento & Ekiben forms, where you discover hidden items as you eat & each side dish feels fresher & more delicious than the last. Feels like a very generously-portioned (in case you're doubting the price tag) home cooked meal prepared and packed by someone with a rare amount of intention & care for not just how the food will taste, but how well it will travel. You can feel the that the chef wants your meal to be a joyful experience filled with little surprises. Truly a new favorite meal of mine in the city that I plan to order again and again.“

I really wanted to have Japanese food (specifically Onigiri) for a Studio Ghibli-themed baby shower, and reached out to several local restaurants. Ekiben was by far the most responsive and fairly priced!
