“The greeter seemed to not wanna be there, possibly from the attitude of the other staff, while she was trying to get us setup another dude jumped in and interrupted and took over. Figure out who does what.
I also found some bogus transaction on my card from this day, and the only time anyone ever took my card from me was from this restaurant I ended up with an uber charge but I DRIVE MY OWN CAR! this is the only time I had anyone else touch my card this day so is someone back there taking card information? has anyone else experienced this from this place? check your transaction history if this is a trend its gonna be a problem, if not perhaps a different vendor is doing it, eitherway its unproven yet so it doesnt affect my rating, if someone does get a bogus charge after going here, can you post it on a review so we can see a pattern.“

“My first time ever having authentic Thai Food!

It was amazing! Not perfect, but cLose!

I had the Drunken NoodLes Spicy 10 with Tofu!

It was actually spicy. Needs just a little something idk. Maybe cardamom.

My picture doesn’t do it justice. And I can’t even finish. It’s so freakin yummy!

“This place was so cute and the food was amazing! We got the chicken satay, Thai fried chicken, crispy basil pork belly and crab fried rice. My favorite was the crispy basil pork belly! It was incredible and flavorful.

I also appreciated the cute decor. It was very charming inside and felt cozy.“

“Everything was incredible. This was our first time going and it was phenomenal. I ordered the pad Thai with chicken and it was amazing, I tried some pad see ew, also phenomenal. The larb Kai was great, the service was on top of it and so friendly. The food was fast, inexpensive and delicious. Could not ask for more from a restaurant.
A bit of a small space, but very accommodating; I was in a party of five including a wheelchair user and they were tremendously helpful.

“Came in here on my lunch break and the server was very nice and attentive. The Thai iced tea I got was some of the best I’ve ever had, and the seafood soup I got was delicious. The prices were also good given the portion sizes. If I’m ever back in this part of the city I’m definitely returning here again“

“We really enjoyed NoodleBird. Creative menu offerings. My partner really enjoyed the Wok Seared Pork Noodles. The texture of the rolled noodles was divine! My mistake for ordering one of the specials they had that day - Polish sausage with rice (not pictured) simply had too many flavors going on. Next time I’ll try one of their regular menu dishes. The egg tarts for dessert were simply delicious and I could eat an entire meal of just those!

“I was in the neighborhood and made it just in time for their lunch special, between 11-1pm. I had the cashew chicken with a spring roll to start, and a Thai Ice tea. The server asked how spicy I wanted it and gave a choice between 1-5, I chose 4, but when it came out they had forgotten to add it, so he quickly took it back to add it. It was a chopped up Thai chili and the dish was delicious and fresh tasting. Can't wait to go back and try a different dish.“

“The menu is small but if you are not familiar with Taiwanese flavor profiles (nobody at our table was), it could be difficult to decide what to try. Fortunately the staff is wonderful and patient and very helpful. We had a terrific server, Max, who was very fun and gave us a lot of information then made recommendations that were spot-on. “I've been going here for years and this place never disappoints. The food is always on point. It's hard for me to find sweet potato tempura but look no further. The flakey crab ragoon tops any other. It's ruined crab ragoon for me anywhere else. The chicken pad thai is delicious and when adding their hot sauce, it's perfect! So many varieties of rolls, you'll definitely find a favorite. Their presentation is always so eye pleasing. If it's your birthday, they have the cutest and delicious mochi ice cream. The staff is always so kind, attentive, and service with a big smile. This is a place I like to show off to other people and It's always a positive feedback.“

“Fantastic neighborhood gem! My friend and I were craving classic Chinese takeout, and Orange Garden was perfect. Crab Rangoons were delicious, as were the chicken dishes. The service was so friendly, with the server making sure our water glasses stayed full and that we had takeout boxes to pack up leftovers. I have lived on the other side of the world and I have been to Thailand multiple times. This food is excellent. We had teriyaki chicken and tom yum. The nice lady explained it was one of her first days while the owner is in Thailand on vacation. Hopefully they see this and know their restaurant is in good hands!“

“When I was diagnosed with celiac disease, I thought I would never be able to eat at some of my favorite restaurants again. While this is true for most restaurants, it’s not true for YATAI. They are very knowledgeable about how to prepare their dishes in a safe, gluten free way without cross contamination, and it makes me feel safe and comfortable eating out again. If you call, they can tell you what they can make gluten free, and if you use the Uber Eats allergy function, they will let you know if anything you ordered can’t be made gluten free (but I recommend calling first). Their food is delicious, and I can say that with all of their considerations surrounding my dietary restrictions, they will have a regular customer for life!!“

“Over 20 years ago I started eating at their original Lincoln Park location. Today, their delicious food keeps me coming back time after time. It helps that the restaurant is staffed by the nicest people in the world. When I call for pickup they know my order (lad nar with chicken and Japanese gyoza) and they have it ready in ten minutes. “This is the best Japanese restaurant in the world, plain and simple. For food: sushi, ramen, tempura, you name it, they have it. For drinks: sake, beer, Ramune, the list goes on and on. Don’t forget the mochi for dessert as a sweet treat to end your meal. Service is impeccable. There is outdoor dining during the weather-permitting summer months. New customers often become regulars here and if you ask, many will say this is their local favorite. Can’t say enough positive things about this place. You just have to try it for yourself.

“I wanted to give this location props for their lunch on 8/17. Walking in around 1pm, I could tell they had had their butts handed to them and were obviously understaffed. However, in my perspective they were handling the hangry customers very well, were staying calm and the staff that was present seemed to know what they were doing. The only reason for 4 stars is because and (this has happened more than once at this location) rather than suggesting I try my Pesto Cavatappi with pork, they tell me it comes with pork, which is not true. There is an additional charge for any meat on this bowl.“

This Vietnamese restaurant offers Japanese dishes too. We always enjoy their wide varieties of food; the servers are always friendly and food served just on time. The quality and the quantity of the food was always reasonable to the price.

I highly recommend trying their sweet potato tempura, egg roll and bbq pork spring rolls.
Their smoothies are delicious too and I believe they use real fruits.“

The Makunouchi (Unagi) is easily among the most outstanding I've ever eaten, maybe even the best. Such a delightful presentation and true to the traditional bento & Ekiben forms, where you discover hidden items as you eat & each side dish feels fresher & more delicious than the last. Feels like a very generously-portioned (in case you're doubting the price tag) home cooked meal prepared and packed by someone with a rare amount of intention & care for not just how the food will taste, but how well it will travel. You can feel the that the chef wants your meal to be a joyful experience filled with little surprises. Truly a new favorite meal of mine in the city that I plan to order again and again.“
