Once I had a chance to move back home to New York City and I sat in a Chicago Mexican restaurant at 18th and Ashland and cried because I didn’t want to leave Chicago Mexican food behind. So, this place has some of the best Mexican food I have ever eaten here in my adopted hometown. I don’t say that lightly. You don’t kid around with Mexican food in Chicago. I cannot emphasize how quietly awesome this place is.“

I was not having a good day but tried my best to not show it. As I'm eating I saw a man come in. Eat by himself and then left. My surprise when I went to go pay. This man had paid for my food. Who ever it was Thank you so much if this is ever read. That was a beautiful gesture and completely made my day. I got my son his haircut and took him for some ice cream afterwards. “I love this place. Great little family Mexican restaurant that specializes in grilled chicken. Every now and again a small portion of the chicken is a little dry, but that's usually when I'm picking up later in the day and sometimes I wish for a little more salt in the salsa but I'm not docking any points though because I don't need more salt, my dog loves any bits of dry chicken I've run into, and I love their carne asada burritos and their breakfast specials.“

I had the Enchiladas Verdes and not only were they considerable in size, they came with ample sides of rice and refried beans (the menu doesn't quite mention that they're _gratis_ with full dinners, but they are). Complementary tortilla chips are ample as well. Only real drawback is a lack of non-alcoholic drinks, but beer and cocktails and many and varied. Highly recommended.“
