“Fondita Miguel is my new go to spot for local taco. It’s a small space so pickup is the way to go.

The corn tortillas are soft and fresh, the birria is rich and flavorful, and the pastor is done really well. My wife loves the chicken.

You also have to get the street corn. It is a must. Everything hits, prices are solid, and it is an easy spot to keep coming back to. Highly recommend.“

“This is a beautiful place with authentic delicious Mexican food in a perfect location. The chilles rellenos that Í ordered were absolutely delicious along with my margarita made my day. My friend ordered the typical carne asada which was served with rice and beans and she was delighted. We are for sure coming back during the summer to enjoy more of these authentic Mexican dishes.“

Once I had a chance to move back home to New York City and I sat in a Chicago Mexican restaurant at 18th and Ashland and cried because I didn’t want to leave Chicago Mexican food behind. So, this place has some of the best Mexican food I have ever eaten here in my adopted hometown. I don’t say that lightly. You don’t kid around with Mexican food in Chicago. I cannot emphasize how quietly awesome this place is.“

I was not having a good day but tried my best to not show it. As I'm eating I saw a man come in. Eat by himself and then left. My surprise when I went to go pay. This man had paid for my food. Who ever it was Thank you so much if this is ever read. That was a beautiful gesture and completely made my day. I got my son his haircut and took him for some ice cream afterwards. Every now and again a small portion of the chicken is a little dry, but that's usually when I'm picking up later in the day and sometimes I wish for a little more salt in the salsa but I'm not docking any points though because I don't need more salt, my dog loves any bits of dry chicken I've run into, and I love their carne asada burritos and their breakfast specials.“
