“This is like a special little local restaurant where instead of being a customer, you just become family. The staff were right on top of everything and the atmosphere was very inviting. The food, though, was astounding! I'd definitely go back here when passing through! I ordered the Italian hot sub, I forgot the technical name, but man, was it delicious! “This is the fun bar point it's been around as a Building and business forever! At the intersection of Highway four and interstate 55, it's visible from just about every direction. The bartender, SAM is a lot of fun and get your beer to you quickly, lots of pool tables, shuffleboard, and darts available. Newly built kitchen and a pretty good menu! The manager, Melody is on hand and works to ensure that her guests are extremely happy and satisfied. Fun place!Zz“

“We didn’t stay here but stopped along the way for lunch after seeing 4.5 on Yelp. Just a small little diner attached to a clean, simple looking motel. We had the open faced roast beef and a grilled chicken sandwich. The food was amazing. The roast beef was perfect, gravy and potatoes just plain delicious like mom’s. The chicken sandwich was very good too. And the pies.. omg you have to have a piece of pie. Or the gigantic cinnamon roll heated up and lathered with butter… oh my. Staff were friendly and nice and attentive. Stop here for a meal, you won’t regret it.“

“Nice downtown Staunton pub. My friend and I had burgers. I tried the chips which I really liked and she has the fries which made her happy. Nice fresh lettuce, onions, tomatoes and pickles for the burgers. Yummy - would definitely go again. We were there after 1PM and several other tables full arrived while we ate. The diners were young kids through older adults. Everyone is welcome.“

Heard there can be a wait during peak hours but we went a little after the true brunch crowd on a Sunday about an hour before they closed. Classic breakfast items on the menu and everything we had was pretty good. I really enjoyed the apple pancakes which was fitting with it being a pancake house! We're locals so we will be back.“

“Today the regular location was closed in town, but there was a sign on the door that said the boathouse was open.Brittney was so kind and nice, and ran the establishment well. “Unbelievably fantastic food. My first time ever going there & everyone ive talked to jyst rants & raves about how great it is... Well I found out first hand that they werent kidding. Had appetizers that were just amazing & the best Mojito ive ever had... They grow their own mint there & serve their mojitos with fresh mint. First of all to even see that mojitos were a choice was awesome & then when you get it & take your first drink of it, its like heaven. Then when the main course came I was pleasantly surprised on the presentation & the taste. The staff was amazing & on too of it. They were very kind & knowledgeable & voiced their high opinion of the food... I will definitely be back & will tell everyone I know about how amazing my new favorite restaurant is .. A++++“

“I recently dined here with friends and our service, drinks, and food were absolutely phenomenal! I personally had the arancini, 8oz filet, cream corn gratin, and the mezcal margarita. The filet was seared and cooked to perfection. I didn’t even use the sauce they brought on the side. The waiter was knowledgeable and attentive and the chef (Body) came around to ask how our meal was as well. By the time we finished with our dinner and drinks it was approaching closing time and most places would be rushing you out the door. Instead, our server offered us dessert and even insisted he bring a menu back to the table encouraging us to take our time and order something. Truly a great experience!“
