“Came to LJS for dinner and it was quite the experience. We ate in the restaurant and the staff was totally unexpected. I ordered a shrimp rice bowl with no rice and the chef offered to prepare it with lemon and then they accommodated my lack of rice appropriately and unexpectedly. The people who took the order were very friendly and attentive and three different people checked on our experience while we were eating. Food excellent. Staff excellent. Recommended. Everyone who has finished eating and left (about 5 people) have rung the bell, and I will too.“

“I was in the area for work, and this place comes up on some lists for best burger, but they have other food including burritos. I ordered one, and they put what I wanted in it, and it rivals LaBamba's in Indianapolis for being as big as your head. You'll want a fork and knife to eat it.

It was delicious. Toppings were fresh and plentiful in variety and what they put in the burrito. I got the meal which comes with a side and drink. You could get a big bag of nachos or fries to go with it, and I went with fries. They can put salt, or several other flavors on them, and I chose cheese (I believe they call it queso) which was good, but wasn't what I would chose for fries. The drink is a rather large fountain drink, although they had run out of diet while I was there, so they gave me a 16oz bottle of Diet Coke.

Service was great. Both people working were friendly and helpful. I'm not 100% sure why this place gets so many 1 star ratings, but I saw no logical reason for them in my visit.

Since my work brings me to the area once every month or two, I'll have to drop by to try the burgers and nachos sometime later. Would highly recommend.

The staff at the store however was upbeat and really seemed to have a good work life chemistry that makes rough customer facing jobs more bearable. Whatever you're doing to cultivate that sort of atmosphere, I'd encourage more of it.“

The service is consistently half‑assed, and getting an accurate order here feels like winning a raffle. Even when napkins and sauce packets are requested three separate times — written in the app, repeated at the drive‑thru speaker, and asked for again at the window — they’re still not included unless you park, go inside, and get them yourself.

The Luxe Boxes are a good value, but the packaging is one of the worst ideas corporate has ever pushed. These flimsy little boxes don’t stay closed, and when you order them through the drive‑thru they spill open and dump food all over your car. Whoever approved that design clearly never tested it in the real world.

“Normally 50-60 cents cheaper on gas (regular), it's forced the surrounding gas stations to also lower theirs which is good for consumers. I live in New Albany and it's worth the trip to fill up gas here because NA is just far enough away where the prices for fuel are 50-70 cents higher.“
