“We have Been at Theo’s at least 20 times in the last 3 years. The first time was the best and last night was the last. Food was a lot better 3 years ago. The staff seemed like they cared about you buying the right or the best value, Last night we were ripped off. David was our server. Telling how great the specials were with out telling us the price. My wife wanted seafood not steak. So we ordered her the seafood crab legs, lobster tail and shrimp. Crab legs tasted like they were frozen for a long time, the lobster was Tuff. Shrimp was good in garlic butter. I had a steak. With mushrooms. Do your self a favor ask what the price for any specials . DON’T BUY ANYTHING WITHOUT KNOWING THE PRICE. “I go every Wednesday for the 1 pound shrimp and I have to say they are the best tasting shrimp I've had this far. The size of the shrimp are huge with a nice flaky batter that gives a flavorful taste. I have my family going there as well for great tasting seafood!!!“

“I saw video on tik tok, so I went. I got the shrimp and the perch just like the guy on tik tok. The shrimp were really good, not a lot of heavy batter, but that perch had no seasoning at all. I was highly disappointed with the perch. Will I drive to Gary again for it,probably not. You go and get those shrimp. Service is good and the sitting area is clean, and you dont wait long for your food.“

“Cute interior. The seafood boil was delicious! Drinks were good. It's a little different because you order your food at the bar and pay in advance (good idea actually) but then you get all your own supplies (silverware, straws, and your own waters). So it was truly a different experience but it was overall very pleasant, laid-back, and a nice change of pace.“

“Came in and the place was completely empty, sign said "seat yourselves" it felt kind of awkward but someone came out to greet us a few seconds later. Staff was super friendly and nice! I brought my grandmother and she wanted to split her meal with someone who wasn't able to come to the restaurant in person, so they brought out half of her meal and waited until we were almost done with the other half freshly made and packaged! Lake perch was great! Not like other restaurants that try to serve ocean perch as lake perch. The Nashville hot chicken strips were a little disappointing they didn't have any heat to them, but the chicken was cooked perfectly and the breading was really good so it made up for it! Mac n cheese was delicious, I was even impressed with the fries! None of them were soggy or over salted! I'm sad I couldn't have tried them sooner!“

Cocktails are always huge, and when the juke box is playing in the bar it feels like I stepped back in time--in the best way. Staff is friendly, and have been around the block. Owner often greets you upfront, and can be found sitting with his family on a Friday night, of which are all friendly and welcoming. Feels like no one is a stranger here.“
